Today, the capital of the People's Republic of Serenierre is host to the demonstration of the beauty of Serenien democracy in action. Our ancient streets are filled with protesters, armed not with weapons or intentions of harm and violence but with the potent message conveyed only by a solitary white rose.
The focus of these efforts is the Embassy of Auraria, which sits in the Hôtel de Jacques on Rue de Batholemy, and the silent men and women of Gallia mourn the loss of a sister state to an ODIOUS alliance. While the foreign policy decisions of the Solis Government are regrettable, in relation to the blow which it has dealt to the harmony of the Gallian continent, the people of Serenierre and the peoples of Auraria are forever linked in bonds of fraternity which may not be broken by any government or ODIOUS alliance.
The people mourn the loss using their democratic and legal rights.
The Central Government, however, has obligations and responsibilities in relation to diplomatic missions of all nation-states in the territories of the People's Republic and continues to uphold all such undertakings as required by the covenants of the customary laws of nations. As a point of clarification, then: On a March 14, 2020 issue of the Villesen Report, Premier Martinique was quoted as saying “Effective immediately, Serenierre shall withdraw all diplomatic personnel from Furlaine and expel all Furlaine citizens from Serenierre.“ How was due process applied to the Frulian citizens at the time while coinciding with Señora Martinque’s “effective immediately” decree? Or did the Premier misspeak?
That same report quoted Señora Martinique as saying “The Burgundians are true enemies of this Serenien nation. Be they monarchist, republican, or Marxist, their hatred and revulsion for us is embedded deep. We cannot trust them, we will not trust them.” Was the Premier speaking of the Burgundian Government - which she helped install - or the Burgundian people generally?
That same report again stated that the police arranged vans for Kadikistani citizens to be deported. Is that inaccurate? Did the police vans wait for due process?
In the event of an abrupt change in Serenien policy, will Villesen commit to working with Solis to ensure that it is conducted in a humane fashion as not to cause undue harm to the citizens in question?

The Republic Populaire issues its condolences to the peoples of Nedernesie as that country and its protectorate witness great tragedy as the evil of terrorism has raised its head.
