Noticed me mentioning a different subunit in previous posts, and I like the sound of it better.

The Subunit of the Cruachcuir still uses the same symbol, but it is called the 'Lyrdan'.

((So are the 5th points 1/5th of a Commmon(s)? Additionally, both you and Tyrrhenia neglected to put how many of your currency are required to get it reimbursed for an ounce of gold.))

Hey yo, Oh ye all-knowing crawler all, have a look at the other thread and then wonder at why I didn't. But yes, 1 Pts = 1/5 of a Common.

I believe I would be pegged to the Eiffellandian Mark with 5.5 Dinars= 1 Mark.

Unit: Monkecian Mark (!) (Merko sub Moncesya)
Sub: Cent (!.01) (Centos sub Moncesya)
Value: currently virtually worthless. The inflation rate is very high. The national mint currently runs at a loss. The place is in civil war and most of the gold and diamond mines are controlled by socialist forces used for backing the war, or by various nefarious gangs peddling black markets. No one with an once of sense (or gold) would go near a Monkecian Mark.
Controlled by: notionally the National Transition Bank.

I don't have any objections against this, but I do have a remark. My economy may be strong, but it is not strong enough to give my currency the role of worldwide reserve currency, like the US Dollar currently has.

I also have a question. Could it be disadvantageous to a currency if too many other currencies are pegged to it? I ask this, because now two currencies would be pegged to the Eiffelland Mark: The Nichtsteiner currency and the Tyrrhenian Dinar.

I'll say one thing - typically a nation pegs to another when there is a strong connection between the two nations. After all once you peg to another nation you essentially almost yield a pillar of your economic sovereignty to them. The strength of their currency is based on yours. Think of Republic of Ireland pegging to the British Pound for a real life example.

It gives you more control over their trade value and such.

Updated as of Monkecia. If there are errors in the math, misrepresentations of the table, or any other problems, feel free to complain in a polite manner and I'll have it corrected as soon as possible.

The values are around the same like those of it's neighbour Franken, with maybe just a miniscule difference.

The Solaris Lira of the Eiffellandian Occupational Zone (SLE) is pegged to the Eiffellander Mark in a ratio of 1/80, so 1 SLE is 0.0125 Eiffelander Mark, and 1 Eiffellander Mark is 80 SLE.
The plural form of "Lira" is "Lire", and that is also the form in which most people will hear the name of the currency unit, because the plural form is mainly used; people won't say "20 Lira" but "20 Lire".
The subunit of the Lira is the Centezimo. The plural of "Centezimo" is "Centezimi"; 1 Lira = 100 Centezimi.

1 oz. Gold = 2926.560 SLE.
1 USD = 84 SLE.
Subunit = Centezimo.
Central bank = Banca centrale della zona occupata Eiffellandese.
