Once again Imperial Danmark has shown that it is above and beyond any reasoning, negotiation or sense. Just the other night our airspace was violated by a Danish military spy plane, though it was shot down and a comatose pilot was captured, Danmark is escalating tensions in the north with devious intentions no doubt. Reconnaissance may be a prelude to war and to us this violation is on par with an act of aggression. We are now forming debate on taking the first steps to military action and though nothing has yet to be decided we feel as the nations who most love peace and stability we can count on your support if action is taken.
It is only a matter of time before Danish spy planes are flying over your own airspace or worse, warplanes.

Kjære Autumn,

The revelation of Danish spy planes over Sylvanian territory has proven to be a shock to Kristiania, and the news has been debated in both Her Majesty's Government and in the Folkting. It is a circumstance in which we Austwegians together feel this to be an assault that emphasizes the irreconcilable differences held between the Danish Imperium and our concepts of life and liberty. A response to such violation of a people that harbor no ill-will and only a love of liberty and the values the come in hand with it has been difficult for Her Majesty's Government in which limited news of the events that have transpired has made it across the Sea[SUP]1[/SUP]. While no doubt genuine, it is the implications of the news that make this disturbance a difficult pill to swallow. It is our assumption that no doubt this engagement is unlikely to be the first violation of Sylvania's sovereign lands. Our assumption is not a slight against the defenses of Sylvania, but instead the assumption that an isolated incident of this degree would not subscribe to rational logical action by any foreign entity. With this assumption in mind, Her Majesty's Government can only conclude two possible outcomes from this unsightly news:

1. That the Kingdom of Danmark conspires in the immediate invasion of the Occident.

2. That the Kingdom of Danmark is in preparation for the event of a possible war; be that near or in the distant future, and as such searches for a subsequent logical point for attack, counter-attack, or follow-up attack.

Her Majesty's Government believes that immediate precaution and preparation for our first case described, which our Government shall henceforth refer to as War Plan Black, should come into effect. As such, our military is at the highest alert for the next seventy-two hours. If such a malicious action taken by the Danish should transpire, Kristiania will stand side by side with Sylvania as our Anti-Danish Imperial Sea Alliance should come into action. Should seventy-two hours pass without reason to continue our ready status, it is the opinion of Chancellor Bakken that our country move on in preparation for the second conclusion.

This said, Her Majesty's Government is skeptical of the eventuality of War Plan Black. This is due to the long distances and in respect to a worthy invasion of the the Occident, which we believe would require an easily observable fleet from our own Naval Reconnaissance. Austwegian Naval ships have not reported suspicious naval activity in the Sea.

Therefore it is my responsibility to let the Republic of Sylvania be aware of what we've termed as War Plan Grey, the second conclusion response, in which this is only a Danish plot for future conflict. In which case it is imperative that Danish attempts at intelligence collection are dated as soon and as often as possible. This should mean that Sylvanian and Austwegian holdings in the Sea and its surrounding region should find themselves avoiding stationary positions especially in the northern seas. We believe that it would be important to make any possible port for Danish forces in the north as isolated as possible.

Her Majesty's Government wishes to convey continued support for Sylvania and will provide whatever the Austwegian people can muster in the collective defense of our realms. It is the opinion of Kristiania that this incident has given appropriate casus belli against the Danish Imperium. Yet Chancellor Bakken believes that proper negotiations in which concessions can perhaps be gained before such war declared. We expect to be in close contact over the next seventy-two hours, and as always stand strong behind the choices of President Rygaard and the integrity of the Sylvanian people.

I personally wish you, Autumn, the best going forward. Our next hours may not be the easiest for ourselves or our peoples.

[SUP]1[/SUP]: the Sea: a simplistic and endearing term for the Thaumantic Ocean, a name which enjoys little love among Austwegians. This term is translated literally from the Austwegian: "Havet" which is the local name for the Thaumantic Ocean.

The Republic will raise its military alert throughout the region for precaution. Although the Republic of Sylvania has every right to respond, we hope that communication with the Danish government is given a chance as a war would be devastating for all sides.

Dear Kristin,

It now has come to our attention through the folly of the Danes themselves that 90,000 men will soon be en-route to Faerorne to "reinforce" their holdings on the small island. After speaking with the President, his cabinet and the Sylvanian Military Council we are in full agreement that this is the prelude to an invasion of the Sylvanian Homeland and a prolonged war in the Occident. Therefore though an immediate invasion is not coming a future invasion is already in the works and War Plan Grey is the apparent event that we now face.

Kristin, the President and myself thank you for your prompt and well developed reply and our troubled hearts are warmed by the pledge for support your government has so graciously given. I find myself during these moments shaking as the thoughts of the impending bloodshed our people may soon face at sea and on the ground run through my mind. Yesterday I visited the city of Baldwin-Whitehall with the President and watched as the Continental Marines assembled and conducted drills, the Commandant assured me that they are a hardy bunch and ready for anything, but I am not so sure.

Your assumptions are correct Danish reconnaissance aircraft have been spotted before but not in violation of our airspace and I hold no beliefs that this is certainly not the first time. The homeland has been at peace for almost 100 years now, up until the succession crisis our patrols and defenses have been done in a manner according to the peace we enjoyed and though the crisis created an effort to ramp up these patrols and harden our defenses we did not expect such a aggressive stance from Danmark. This is especially because of their constant craven attitude to the Austwegian revolution; now we see that we have underestimated their ability to reverse their soft ways.

I am trying my best to at least force answers from that contemptible bastard Westerveld, perhaps I may be able to bring them to the table and initiate dialogue, but I severely doubt the herculean effort needed to accomplish a environment where we may speak to each other as equals and actually negotiate real and physical things would be enough to get this thick headed dullard to agree to anything. I can only imagine what the a government under him would be like.

Tomorrow Congress shall speak on the issue, a vote for war may be in the making but it is too early to tell. I thank you for your kind words, be safe and may God be kind to us during these trying times.
