Alexandria, Ionian Aegyptus
Calliope was one of the world's most experienced and known archaeologists. Born Ionian she had traveled across Greconia and the Long sea in her search for ancient Ionian, Aegyptian and Tiburian ruins. Now she was in Aegyptus, a land encompassing all of the above. She had come there with her university professor when she first started out as an archaeologist and she had returned now to find what her professor had been searching for his whole life: the tomb of Periandros III the Helleniser; the last Ionian King to rule over Hellenized Aegyptus Aegyptus nearly 2000 years ago. She and her crew had arrived from New Alexandria by boat. Though the trip was hard and they weren't even halfway through at least the Colonial Authorities here were much friendlier than their most of foreign counterparts. Still her team though had a long way ahead.

Corfu, Ionian Dynisa
Ioannis Kefalonitis was the head of the Ionian Dyonisian Academy's Archaeological Faculty. A world renowned archaeologist he was fascinated to hear an expedition to find the Tomb of Periandros the 3rd had finally been authorized. And even better it was headed by his favorite student; she had graduated from the Archaeological School under his teaching nearly 20 years ago.He had asked the headmaster of the Academy to allow him to take part in the expedition. After a week of waiting this was finally the moment. He was now going to either get the satisfy the dream of a lifetime or see it shatter to pieces.
