Most Honorable Ladies and Gentlemen,

We will make sure to dispatch a delegation to this meeting. However we deem the current degree of pressure you have put upon the Arretines to attend inadequate, if not non-existent. Thus we would like you to increase that degree. Without Arretine participation it will be really hard for this summit to produce and enforce any actual result. We once again state that while we will take part we doubt the possible effectiveness of this summit.

“May God watch over us,” thought José Plaza, the envoy tasked with meeting the Ionian delegation. He had gone over his orders and directions time and time again. It could not be understated how important his mission was, as peace in the Long Sea was dependent on Auraria being able to get the two nations to cooperate.

José received word that the Ionians were on their way to Solis International Airport. He nodded at the report and went to his vehicle, which sped off to the airport.

The Ionian Diplomatic plane arrived at the airport and the Ionians moved through the terminal and outside, to the car of the Aurarian Government.
"Good day Your Excellencies." said the Prime Minister;

When the motorcade arrived at the Royal Palace, the envoy stepped out and was greeted by Prime Minister Arturo Calderón, and a lack of the High King.

“Your Excellency, may I please be the first to welcome you to the Royal Palace,” the Prime Minister said, shaking the Ionian Prime Minister’s hand “I do hope on behalf of Auraria that you are not offended, but the hour is rather late and the High King is feeling a tad under the weather. Not to insult or belittle the importance of what is being done here, but it would be preferable that the meeting wait until tomorrow morn, first thing.”

While the Prime Minister was smooth talking and leading the delegation to the palace, four Royal Guards were watching like hawks. They scanned each member of the protection team that the Ionian Prime Minister had, after making careful notes, one of the guards stormed off into the palace.

As the Prime Minister was walking with the Ionian Prime Minister, they came across a hallway where he saw a member of the Royal Guard drop his sword.

“My God man! Have you no respect for your position!” the Prime Minister barked. The soldier apologized and kept his head down. The Prime Minister changed course. The Royal Palace seemed like a maze of hallways.

“These walls are ancient,” Calderón began “built hundreds of years ago by the Kings of House Oleastro. It was designed to be confusing, so assassins couldn’t navigate with any ease. Thankfully those times have ended, now the world has some much needed civility.”

“Ah, here we go!” The Prime Minister exclaimed as he showed the Ionian delegation their rooms. Each was lavish, but not as lavish as the room assigned to the Ionian Prime Minister. Each member of the delegation was assigned their own room.

“Once more, Your Excellency, I do not mean to belittle, but if you could please remain in your rooms for the duration of the night, for security purposes. Once more, I apologize for any inconvenience,” Calderón spoke “And once more, I welcome you to Auraria.”

OOC: Actually my Prime Minister is at the Summit with Eiffelland so is it OK if I RP that I sent a chief diplomat?

OOC: due to the nature of diplomatic meeting and how it can take weeks to RP an event that in-game would only be a few hours, it is fine to deploy your characters to more than one place at the same time
