Suionsk utrikesminister resor till Storsarmater
Suionian Foreign Minister Travels to Great Sarmatia
Stary Hrodino—Suionian Foreign Minister, Gustaf Wetterstrand landed today in Great Sarmatia to begin talks with government officials of the Central European power. The talks were self-described as secretive in nature, and the Government has refused to speak in regards to the visit.
Suionia itself hasn't been terribly involved in international affairs since the new year which marked the end of Suiona's involvement in the Council of Nations and the beginning of Suiona's involvement in the Northern Council as a founding member.
While Suionia has been a long time staunch opponent of EDF policies and LFS abuses, the visit to Great Sarmatia might signal either an end to LFS complaints or the beginnings of strong bi-lateral ties between Suionia and Sarmatia. The opposition has slammed the visit as a means to cater to the Sarmatians in order to get contracts in the Former German Free State, yet the Government continues to keep quiet on the motives of the visit and that only the fruit bore from the visit will be showcased should anything of merit be worth introducing formally.
Gustaf Wetterstrand has yet to do much traveling this year, instead preferring to dictate from his home address in most instances. This has perhaps made his visit something of a keynote of his office and his term. Although it would not be too surprising to see very little announced until the agreements have already been arranged, or the Government dismiss his sudden action as nothing more than a vital opportunity the required such a rushed visit.
Wetterstrand is expected to be in Sarmatia for the better part of the week and will return to Suionia by the weekend.
