Strait of Bochlwyd named after a ancient legend where hunters from a local village along the Sutherland's coast, went hunting in the forest. The spirit of the forest Liono would promise them bountiful harvest as long hunting parties would stay away from old greyed stags. One day the hunters were greedy and lazy they decided to hunt a old stag because that day the young ones were too fast. Upon chasing the stag a great bone chilling fog descend on the forest. After running around in circles which felt like days, the hunting party were able to catch up to the old stag killing it with one fetal blow but unfortunately due to the fog the stag disappeared. In excitement they run straight where they believed the dead stag would be unaware until the fog give away to the cliff edge leading them straight down the sea.
Nowadays the Strait has Bridgeport to watch over it, a maritime city providing a safe heaven for seafarers travailing across the North Thaumatic Ocean.
The Greycheek tales follows these seafarers and travellers of many creeds. Also the people who ensure the safety and neutrality of this heaven .

Most young Ensigns spend a year or two with the Naval Infantry or Artillery before being a officer of a ship's company, they then have to pick to do Fleet, Naval Infantry or Naval Artillery Officer Exam.
Prideful and naive he has a lot to learn under Charles or will he fall under criminal elements which seem to capture many young officers.
