Official Statement​

According to the reports of the Meteorological Department, the southern coast of Serenierre is likely to be impacted by the full strength of Cyclone Minerva, with the cities of Brèves and Ardeche particularly likely to face the heaviest surge of the storm, which will impact two million people who live therein. Government predictions suggest that immediately following the storm, there will be considerable flooding all across the southern coastal regions of the country, which is likely to impact all major cities in the country.

The Commonwealth Government at this time looks to the international community for assistance in the form of humanitarian aid and support in the form of emergency services. We call on all countries to assist our small nation as it is on the cusp of a great human tragedy. This is a matter of the utmost urgency.

Official Statement​

The Confederation of Serenierre is currently in the midst of a Category 5 Storm. Already several hundred have been reported as missing and serious flooding incidents have been reported in areas as far as 50km from the coast line in the Province of Coubron-Menegal. The rate of precipitation and overflows from the rivers has overwhelmed the barrages and dams in the country and we have entered a situation which will only worsen as Cyclone Minerva continues its rampage.

The scale of the humanitarian disaster on the hands of the Confederal Government is serious and unprecedented in modern times. We call on the international community, once again, to be ready to assist us when the surge of Cyclone Minerva ceases and we can begin healing from the trauma of these past few days.

The Confederal Government is requesting emergency aid in the form of rescue teams and medical equipment from the great powers of the world. This is a serious and urgent request.

transport aircraft laden with emergency medical kit and supplies such as tents and blankets. We can also send 100 medics from the Royal Nedernesian Expeditionary Force. The destroyer Invincible is already en route to the Serenierre coast to assist with search and rescue operations. These assets are currently based in Sandhavn, Dune Sea Overseas Crown Colony, meaning they can be onsite in relatively short time.

Further, our government is prepared to offer a mixture of grants and low-interest loans to Serenierre to assist in longer-term recovery. If interested, International Development Nedernesia will be in touch with details.

The Federation of Natal watches with deep concern the landfall of Cyclone Minerva and the trail of destruction that it laws behind its path. We understand how the lands of Himyar can be as bountiful and rich as they can be destructive and mortal, threatening to the same life it pampers so much in the other half of the year. ​

We stand by our friends in Serenierre as we stood since their independence, as if Himyari nations don't protect and aid eachother, there will be nobody aiding them. The Federation, together with Natalian Sun, the biggest charity NGO will organise an expedition to aid the people suffering from the consequences of Cyclone Minerva, offering shelter, food and supplies to the people rendered homeless by the vicious force of nature, while also lending ten helicopter ambulances to the Serenien authorities to aid them in the post-Cyclone search and rescue missions. ​

Official Statement​

The Confederation of Serenierre is deeply grateful for the assistance being offered by the Governments of Pelasgia, Natal, Nedernesië, and Furlanie. The situation continues to develop rapidly and the Confederal Government is keenly keeping an eye on the impact of Cyclone Minerva.

So far, 1560 people have died, 12180 people have been injured, and 15125 people are missing in the city of Brèves, which has borne the brunt of the force of Cyclone Minerva. In the cities of Bouenville and Ardèche, massive flooding has occurred as the banks of the River Namouto have burst due to all storage facilities and barrages overflowing on account of the massive outflows of water. In the high seas, 20 vessels are unaccounted for, and the Navy shall conduct a full search operation as soon as circumstances allow.

According to the Meteorological Department, the storm is expected to end over the weekend and we shall subsequently hope to receive all international humanitarian assistance at the airport in Villesen, which has hitherto escaped majority of the storm's ravages.
