King Lother opens Royal Unification Festival in Wiefelburg

King Lothar III has inaugurated the IX Royal Festival of the Unification of Wiefel and opened the Royal Festival Park in Wiefelburg.
The festival has been organised to mark the bicentenary of the coronation of the First King of the House Raitz-Frentz (Raitz von Frentz). It is intended to comemorate the unification of the Kingdoms of Wiefel and Hesse.
After a special service attended by the King, Queen Helmina, Prince Lothar and Ruprecht and other senior members of the royal family, King Lothar declared the festival open in a broadcast from the steps of Schloss Wiefelburg.
Cheering and flag-waving crowds lined the route taken by the King and Queen to Schloss Wiefelburg from Schloss Steinhäusser.
