YOUNG SARMATIANS' CORPS

To: The Governments of Franken, Eifelland, and Ivernia
Sub: Friendship Chain Jamboree 1953

Since the foundation of the Young Sarmatians' Corps in 1924, our organisation has extended an olive branch of friendship to other nations we believe will have a positive impact on our youth. This has been exemplified by how every two years, the YSC holds a month-long international jamboree in December, an event that takes place in three nations - chosen by vote of the members - which are seen as excellent examples of friendship. YSC members travel to these host nations and spend ten days camping at selected sites at a time, learning about the host's culture, before moving on to the next host on the itinerary. This is usually held with members of local counterpart organisations, in order to foster friendship on a deeper level of the youth.

The 1951 Friendship Chain Jamboree took place in Sikandara, Danmark, and Potenza, and was a resounding success that has left many YSC members hungry to learn more, and indeed has drawn our nations closer together through the friendship of our youth. For this year, the YSC membership has voted in favour of the nations of Franken, Eiffelland, and Ivernia, to host the FCJ. This letter is a formal request on behalf of the Young Sarmatians' Corps to be able to foster friendship with your nations through interaction of our youth in this event. We hope that you accept this invitation to share our cultures and relationships through the unique perspective of the youth, and through it, bring our nations closer together as friends, for it is only appropriate that our people intermingle not only as adults, but as children as well.

We eagerly await your response.

Always Prepared,
Iwan Lipiec
Chief Executive of the Youth

Dear Mr. Lipiec,

First of all, we feel honoured with the invitation by the YSC. We are currently working hard to organise this event in our country. Eiffelland does not have a nationwide youth organisation like the YSC, but we are looking at other means of organising this. We are talking to secondary schools, local youth associations, the youth association of the Tiburan Catholic Church in Eiffelland, the Boy Scouts and various student associations. Up to now, we have received many enthousiastic reactions. We look forward to co-organising the YSC International Jamboree in December.

Best regards,

Rudolph Kögler, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Vice-Chancellor
Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gauß, Minister for Education and Culture
Karl Genfer, Minister for Public Health and Welfare

Dear Mr Lipiec,

let us express our gratitude for being selected as one of the three host nation on behalf of the Kingdom of Franken. We welcome and applaud your organisation's honourable goals: What's more rewarding than to help young people forge bonds across the continents, across the cultural boundaries. While we do not have one government sponsored youth organisation, we will pass the request on to the national YMCA of Franken (CVJM Franken) and the national youth organisation of the Tiburian Catholic Church (Katholischer Jugendring Königreich Franken). Both have the necessary experience, contacts and volunteers at their disposal. To help them help you we will ask local leaders to provide facilities and, last but not least, submit a generous sum of money to the project.

Graf Robert Beaumont von Miltenberg, Minister of Foreign Affairs
Frank Heidenberg, Minister for Family and Youth Affairs
Gregory Manicher, Minister for Education and Culture of Schlesnitz, spokesman for the culture and education conference of Franken (1)
