OPEN COMMUNIQUE


Honoured Excellencies,

The celebrations for the 2nd century of the existence of the Aurarine Republic are fast approaching and with this I must state that we, in Natalia, as you in Westernesse probably too, understand that our nations could not have entered into existence as free, independent and sovereign republics without the blood shed by our Aurarine brothers to destroy the shackles of monarchist oppression and become the vanguard of social and political liberty, but also of economic equity for the whole world.

We understand that there might be some current political differences especially between Auraria, Natalia and Rio de Oro on one side and the Vaquero Free State on the other, but in those trying times, celebrating 200 years of republicanism and freedom is shadowed by the emergence of a very damaging rhetoric coming from the deep south, fuelled by the reactionary calls to put a crown back in power in Solis and to rebrand us all as the Viceroyalties of old.

We must stand together to be sure that the steps we have done to go forward in those 200 years are not in vain. Each generation since then has worked hard to be sure that the palace of freedom that we have build will never be destroyed and now its our turn to be sure that our kids will enjoy at least the same things that we have enjoyed if not more. We must stand united to be sure that there is a future for posterity. One that is bright and shining, not one marred by slavery and absolute monarchism.

Hence we call for more Pan-Aurarian cooperation in the face of the dangers of reaction so that not only can we defend ourselves but we can be sure that the future we build for the next generation is more open, more prosperous, safer and generally better.

We thus propose the following:

• Free travel between Aurosphere nations to be done only with ID, not even with Passports and no visas between the aforementioned nations.
• Open door immigration policies between Aurosphere nations.
• Free trade and zero tariffs between Aurosphere nations.

We will be ready for any kind of compromise, should any of the Aurosphere nations believed that a better treaty can be set up, but we firmly believe that only united we can be strong and survive in this era.

To our dearest Aurosphere brothers,

The Republic of Rio de Oro will always be grateful to the sacrifices made by the Aurarian people in freeing themselves and, as a result, freeing the Riparian people. We will continue to remember their bravery for as long as the earth keeps turning. Their actions continue to inspire us today to fight for the values that they held to prove that their efforts were not in vain. We are eternally indebted to them.

We are in full support of the proposals put forward by the United Provinces. However, we do believe that in addition to these proposals the Aurosphere nations need to work closely together to preserve the unique cultures of each of our nations. It is important that we pass them on to the next generation and enlighten the world about how our nations share many amazing similarities but also many beautiful differences.

The Riparian people look forward to building a strong future arm in arm with their brothers and sisters from fellow Aurosphere nations.

To All Whom it Concerns,

Two hundred years ago, brave revolutionaries shook off the shackles of the Calderon Family and a noble elite and decided that the fruits of the land belonged in the hands of those who sow it – not those of happenstance birth. Their sacrifice, where so many lost their lives, declared a new government to world founded upon the ideals that all men and woman are born equal and free and the right to sovereignty is irrevocably in their hands. The core principle of the Aurarian State and the Aurosphere at large is that the right to exercise sovereignty can only come from the people.

In 1819, these revolutionaries not only freed the people of the Culebrian Peninsula, but they freed the varied Aurarians across Europe and granted them all the self-determination and right to sovereignty that have grown so critical to the organization of the state.

The Aurarine Republic applauds the initiative of the United Provinces of Natalia and welcomes the idea of increased Aurosphere cooperation. We agree with the proposals outlined by the United Provinces but would further suggest the establishment of a permanent Aurosphere Council. This Council shall consist of representatives of the sovereign peoples of the Aurosphere and shall work to coordinate the growth of our prosperity and celebrate the unique cultures and customs each of our countries have developed.

To this end, the Aurarine Republic would invite representatives from the United Provinces of Natalia, the Vaquero Free State, the Republic of Rio de Oro, and indeed the Southern Kingdom of Justosia – should they choose to accept – to have the inaugural meeting of the Pan-Aurarian Council in Solis.

Should this be deemed acceptable, the Republican Government shall begin immediate preparations for the host of this meeting. All travel accommodations will be coordinated through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is our hope that this will be the beginning of a long period of increased cooperation, understanding, and friendship for all our countries.
