Greetings,

It is my pleasure to announce that Paris has agreed to attend and participate in Northern Council hosted and moderated peace negotiations in Hilversum, Batavia, the seat of the NC. Naturally, however, any such proceedings cannot proceed without the attendance of a government delegation from Coronado.

No previous demands have been noted by Paris, which is certainly encouraging to see. The conference will be attended by the government of Belmont, Telora as peace facilitator, the Northern Council Secretariat and Great Council High Representatives and, we hope, Coronado.

We do hope that Toledo accepts this offer and we hope to see your delegation soon in Hilversum to begin the process of peace.

Señor,

It has come as a surprise that the Kingdom of Belmont, which launched an unprovoked attack on the state and people of Coronado, would now seek a peace negotiations after it had scoffed at an earlier call by Telora and your very organization, but as we had indicated before, we have been and still are open to such a negotiation. Therefore, as the government and people of the Socialist Republic of Coronado do not wish to see further spilling of innocent blood, I have been authorized by President Fernando Calderón Juarez to except the the offer and will call a ceasefire on one condition, that the Kingdom of Suionia, a nation that actively participated in operations designed to aid Belmont in its offensive against Coronado by blockading Coronadan ports only, be restricted in its role in these negotiations.

I am very pleased to hear of your positive response.

The Kingdom of Suionia's High Representative to the Great Council will have to remain in attendance in order for the Great Council to legally function under the NC's charter. The peace negotiations, however, will be led by myself and you may be assured that every High Representative will be there to represent their respective country at the NC. Therefore the Suionian High Representative will not have any special privileges out of the ordinary, if that was a concern.

It was our concern that the Kingdom of Suionia would have too great a sway on the decision making of the Great Council and therefore Coronado would not be negotiating on a level playing field, but if you can guarantee that would not be the case, the government of Coronado will grudgingly accept their presence and will attend and participate in the negotiations that will bring an end to the conflict launched by Belmont against the Socialist Republic of Coronado.

I'd just like to note that Suionia never took part in the blockade. It only move her fleet to the Great Sea in the event of an expanded war against Frescania. If you want to run with that as a lie that you RP as a truth, you can. Just note that it will hurt bilateral relations.

OOC: Actually your ally Frescania announced it and you never disputed it, so unless you publically call him a liar, what I said was not a lie.

It's pretty vague, and could just imply the action that I committed to. However you want to refer to it, go ahead though.
