34 miles East of Testono
ETA: 5 hours
The vanguard merchant ship, the Lìrùn, was leading the pack; eight of the twelve merchant vessels were en route to the city, with the other four now headed towards the international waters off of the Solaren capital. The port at Testono would be sufficient to service all eight of the vessels, and the captain of the Lìrùn was under orders to not stop. Thirty six men were aboard his vessels, but the others that followed carried other personnel fit for more... interesting duties.
The EDF had had ample time to stop the convoy thus far within international waters. But now, as they approached the national waters of Solaren, they came within range of any ground-based anti-shipping missiles in, or near, Testono. That would be more than capable of deterring a prolonged attempt by the EDF to delay the Yujin food shipment. The captain of the Lìrùn contacted the Testono Autorità Portuale, informing him of the Yujin merchant convoys intent, destination, and estimated time to arrival. In addition, he requested protection from the forces therein - he was not expecting the gweilo to fire on free food, no matter how deranged they were.
Aboard the fifth ship in the convoy, another figure paced the deck, watching the coast in anticipation. He had read the dossier on the country, and knew his orders on how to distribute the grain. Any background check on him would prove that he was a legitimate businessman valued at $196 million. Of course, after a few days of research it'd show that those funds eventually tapered out into several fake Oikawan enterprises, but by then his cover would have either failed, or seen him into Solaren.
