Recruitment Campaign 2014

Just so you know what we're up to - we're currently planning on finishing the New Player guide by early January to then start a recruitment effort amongst old members by email, but also on nationstates and the nationstates forum. We figured we would schedule this for January because even if we would get some people to sign up during the Christmas period, the chance that they would be forgetting about this place until they actually would have time to partake in it is rather high, and we can't have that.

If you have any other ideas on where and how to advertise, just go ahead!

Has NSEurope recruited on the NationStates forums before, in the past few years? I wonder how this community communicates with the outside world, with this region being a world of its own in a different time. I'm also wondering because I read this communiqué by a nation from another region recently, asking for some kind of friendly relation...how does that work?
Recruiting, of course, is fine and has nothing to do with the spacetime continuum. Normally I find recruiting, especially in gaming(guilds, etc) ugly and desperate. In this case I just imagine it could be funny reading a message from NSEurope basicly giving the forum and its members it is recruiting on the finger. Or how do you plan to do this?
