Michael lowered his voice.
"Truth is I haven't been entirely honest to you. I'm a member of SOKI but that isn't my primary organization. In truth the main organization which I serve is the Ionian Office of Naval Intelligence. I wanted to tell you this from the beginning, but, as you imagine, the presence of a Tyrrhenian and the, strained at best relations between us and them, complicate things. Ionia and of course ONI offer you their full support. We want a democratic nation like the one you propose to replace the fascist empire in Danmark, to help improve trade and stability in the region, things that could only prove beneficial to Ionia. As you'll probably be told soon Ionia's parliament and senate have authorized a full intervention in Danmark. We have already deployed two marine regiments and a naval force while more forces will arrive within mere days. We could assist you in capturing coastal areas while our agents have already infiltrated Ravensborg and earned the trust of the local leadership. We could easily neutralize their leadership and aid an assault of yours on the city. What do you say?"
Michael extended his hand once more, smiling.

The Ionian government had officially declared an intervention in Danmark. Yet this was just a needed step to bring the actual Ionian force in Danmark and justify Ionian operations there. The 32nd Ionian Regiment had been already dispatched to Danmark shortly after the start of the Danish civil war. At the same time the Ionian Marine Corps had also been dispatched to Danmark with the help of an Ionian Naval force. They remained in international waters with few Ionian ONI and DYK troops setting foot in Danmark. Up until today... after the intervention was approved the Ionian Force landed in Samso. The local garrison was practically non-existent as almost all troops had been drawn from the southern, coastal areas of Danmark to fight the revolution in Aalborg. The local residents had been subject to Danish oppression just like most Germans and were eager to see a foreign intervention. The Ionians didn't declare full control over the city but rather landed and garrisoned some 2,000 men in Samso. The rest of the Ionian force remained aboard the ships but closed in on Samso to be able to support the Ionian garrison if needed. At the same time the Ionian air-force begun dropping humanitarian aid in various areas of Danmark.
--------
An Ionian jeep with three Ionian DYK commandos and an Ionian delegate was moving near the Danish border with Eiffleand. Their mission? To negotiate a cooperation with the Eiffelanders. Once they got close to close to an Eiffelander food convoy the approached the trooper who seemed to be in command;
"Hello there. We're here to meet the Eiffelander commanding officer. Please tell him that an Ionian delegation is here to see him with an.. enticing offer."
