The Makai Islands are pleased to hear of this joyous Union, and wish the happy Royal couple many years of prosperity and fecundity. If the Couple wish a highly private and highly enjoyable get-away for a Royal Honeymoon free of Press and Pressure, we are happy to offer them a Free Imperial Honeymoon Package at the Kahuna Vista Hotel here in the Makai Islands, all expenses paid and all discretion assured.

Regrettably, we are unable to attend the Wedding itself, but send an ornate carved Tikki Statue that is over 800 years old as a token of friendship and blessing to the Royal Couple.

Weissenfels is not the capital of Eiffelland, but it is an important city in other ways. First of all, the Robert Koch Universität, named after the Eiffellandian physician and microbiologist Robert Koch, the discoverer of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (the bacterium causing Tuberculosis), Bacillus antracis (the bacillus causing Anthrax) and Vibrio cholerae (the bacterium causing Cholera). This university has 50,000 students and teaches all non-technical subjects thinkable. By tradition, the Eiffellandian elite families send their children to this university, or to the Technische Universität Weissenfels.
But Weissenfels is also an important city for the Royal Family. Until the end of the 18th century, Sauerland was an independent duchy. King Lothar VII did not have any children. His sister was married with the Duke of Sauerland. When King Lothar VII died, the eldest son of his sister became the new King of Eiffelland. Albrecht von Dietz-Hadamar had just become the Duke of Sauerland, and now he was also the King of Eiffelland. He decided to unite both countries. King Albrecht I moved from Weissenfels to Trier, but introduced the tradition that the Eiffellandian Kings are crowned in Weissenfels, and that the Eiffellandian Crown-Princes marry in Weissenfels.

"Wolfgang, I'm planning some partying the night before. You know Weissenfels better than I do. Can you help me?" Prince Johann, King Albrecht's second son, asked his brother Wolfgang.
"Of course I can," Wolfgang said. "Eleonora, Soren, Sophia, Iselin, Svea, Isabelle, Evelina and Adeliza will have a good time here. First some partying the night before, and then the wedding party until early the next morning."

Wedding parties do not really have an official end in Eiffelland. Well, it ends when the bride and the bridegroom leave the party, but there is no fixed time for that. Most of the times, that happens around 5 the next morning, and then there are still quite a lot of people left.
But a Royal Wedding is different, also in Eiffelland. Everything would be more ceremonial and more according to protocols, although there would not really be an official goodbye moment for the newly married couple. The music at the ball after the dinner would be classic. The King had the agreement with the Princes Johann and Wolfgang that they could take over after 3 in the morning.

To guarantee a calm journey and a timely arrival, the royal entourage, including the Foreign Minister and a selection of other parliamentary dignitaries, had already begun trickling into Eiffelland. Whereas the King and Queen, the parliamentarians, business leaders and noble lords would only come to Eiffelland on Saturday morning - by security protocol the King and his son weren't allowed to use one plane together anyway, the Duke of Schlesnitz, his spouse Isabel of Wolfsburg and their four oldest children as well as the Foreign Minister had arrived in Trier today. Since his father wanted to prepare his son Crown Prince Jakob for the take-over of the prince-regency in the near future, Jakob had joined Foreign Minister Robert Beaumont's talks with his Eiffellandian colleague.

Meanwhile, Duchess Isabel and her children, Prince Sebastian (19), Prince Alfred (18) and their 16-year old twin sisters Princesses Andrea and Christina had gone to Weissenfels already. While Sebastian and Alfred were somewhat used to see their royal cousins as such events, it was the first of its kind for their sisters. They were quite excited to get in touch with their Aren cousins, who they fancied and liked a lot. Much like with his cousin's sons, Jakob's and Isabel's second-oldest son Alfred was the wilder one, somewhat rebellious. Furthermore, he was also quite good at retrieving information. To the surprise of his siblings Alfred told them that the younger brothers of their cousin Friedrich were up to something "smooth."

“I’m honoured to meet you, Your Royal Highness. Welcome in Eiffelland,” Minister for Foreign Affairs Rudolph Kögler said to Crown-Prince Jakob, while they shook hands. “I’m also pleased to meet you, Your Excellency. Welcome in Eiffelland,” Kögler said to Minister Robert Beaumont. They were at the airport Trier-Schönefeld. Kögler accompanied both Frankeners to the limousine, and they drove to the Ministry.

Weissenfels

The weather forecasts promised perfect weather for the day of the wedding: No clouds and 28 degrees Celsius (82.4 degrees Fahrenheit). The dinner and ball would take place in the Zwinger and its garden.
The Royal Family was already in Weissenfels. For this occasion, they slept in the Weissenfelser Stadtschloss. In fact, all the guests would sleep there, and if there was no place, then in the Luxurious hotels in Weissenfels.
Meanwhile, Some guests had already arrived. They were received at the Stadschloß by the Royal Family. Everything had been organised in accordance with King Albrecht’s strife for perfection. He was always afraid that something could go wrong, so he was not completely at ease, although he didn’t show that. His wife was far more relaxed. She was confident that everything had been done that could be done. If anything would go wrong, then so be it.
Crown-Prince Friedrich (27) and Princess Laura (25) were a bit nervous. They would be in the middle of all the people’s interest. The next day, the eyes of whole Eiffelland, and also many eyes abroad, would be pointed at them in the Hofkirche.
The Princes Johann (26), Wolfgang (23) and Karl (20) were not nervous at all. They knew that they operated in the shadow, and they were very well used to that role, given the fact that they had been the guests on events like this more often. First of all, they enjoyed meeting their cousins again. For later on, Wolfgang had developed a nice plan to show them Weissenfels by night on the night before the wedding, and Johann had developed a nice plan for an afterparty after the Ball.
It was also for the King’s youngest son Ludwig (16) the first time that he attended an event like this, as well as for Prince Sebastiano (16*) of the Talemantine Empire, who stayed with the Eiffellandian Royal Family to obtain an Eiffellandian Abitur. On the one hand, Ludwig looked forward to meeting his cousins and the other young Princes of the various Royal Houses (and it was also a good occasion to practice his Aren on the Prince and Princesses of Arendaal); on the other hand, he was a bit afraid of “uneasy” questions. Sebastiano also looked forward to meeting the many other Princes and Princesses, among which also he had many cousins, but first of all he looked forward to seeing his family again, although it would be for just a couple of days. Also he was a bit nervous.

* OOC: Talemantros, you didn’t specify a birthday for Prince Sebastiano. Do you agree with a birthday in the last half of July? Then you can plan in the birthdays of your other princes in such a way that it is biologically possible.

Meaning every word he said, Crown Prince Jakob replied "Thank you for your warm welcome, your excellency. Coming to Eiffelland has always been a pleasure for me, not only because it's my mother's home country but because the people as a whole are truly delightful to be with. Not to forget your almost notorious inventive talent. My goal today is to sit by, observe and learn. As my father wants to appoint me regent in the course of this year, I want to take get as close contact with our friends' leaders as possible. Consider me an intern of Minister Beaumont. An intern with a spectacular family tree, but still just an intern."

The three men chuckled heartily and subsequently turned to address matters of foreign policy. Whereas both Foreign Ministers discussed the Batavian situation, a joint proposal to the BEZ to set up a development fund in Batavia, the loudly barking Sarmatians and some other issues, Crown Prince Jakob took notes and occasionally asked accurate questions.

Weissenfels

Meanwhile, the rest of the crown princely family had settled into their apartments at the Stadtschloss Weissenfels. Hereditary Prince Sebastian had already left to look for his cousin Crown Prince Soren, who was about the closest friend among his many royal cousins. Although they saw each other very rarely, both young men got along very well and were of similar character. His sisters Andrea and Christina were also searching for their older cousin Adeliza, who they liked a lot. Princess Andrea embraced Adeliza's fondness for fire, while her twin sister considered her duty to prevent both from accidently igniting "way too expensive stuff."
Albeit Crown Princess Isabel was enjoying her time alone before the celebrations were to start, she worried her second son Prince Alfred was scheming some mischief with his Eiffellander cousins Prince Wolfgang and Prince Johann. In fact he was just joining them to help planning the "pre-show" and "after-show" parties. Nothing too mischievous.
