  • President-for-Life Adrian once again vetoed legislation that would have deemed him a deity and above the laws of man. It's the 87th veto of such legislation. While flattered and grateful for the adoration and trust the legislation implied, Adrian wisely pointed out he, like every other Allegian citizen, exists to better the Republic, "I am a man of humble origins, given a golden opportunity to serve our Republic. I am no god, I am simply a servant of the Republic as is every citizen. We must do our duty for the good of The Republic, not in the pursuit of vain glory as that is the ambition of lesser creatures."

Legislative leaders swore they will continue working on successfully passing such legislation. "The President-for-Life is to humble and kind of man to accept this honor for his Herculean efforts to strengthen Allegia and its people. Never the less, we will continue in our efforts for he deserves every ounce of recognition we can give."

  • Twelve former oil refinery workers were convicted of insurgent contemplation in the first degree. They were summarily stripped of Allegian Citizenship. Their punishment will be determined by an online vote by the Allegian citizenry later this week. Suggestions are currently being accepted by the Ministry for National Citizenry Maintenance. The ministry declared that Death by Bear will not be an available choice after that option finished first for the last three times. A desire to "mix-it-up and keep seditious elements guessing" was cited as the reason.

  • The conflict in Himyar continues to reverberate throughout the international community, with Kyiv announcing sanctions against numerous states. The Allegian Republic has taken no formal stance on the various issues animating the diplomatic conflict but, President Adrian Owen declared today that the Republic will at once seek to fill the void the Kyivians created with their unilateral sanctions. "All states, irrespective of their ideology and/or position on the Himyar question will find a willing trade partner with the Republic and its people," began the decree. "This is not an attempt by the Republic to involve ourselves in the affairs of lesser state but, rather the exploiting of an opportunity to share a widely renowned and respected product with the world."

The President-for-Life mandated overtime for the entire petroleum industry to ensure supply could keep up with an expected increase in demand.

Legislative leaders and ordinary citizens hailed the decision by our beloved President. Adherence to pointless dogma may bind the rest of the world but, our President has the vision to see beyond such silly exercises and embrace the best path forward for the Republic.
