The workers commonwealth of Borovanger emerged as a result of the economic and social collapse of the Alacanti Empire, the Borovanger region had long simmered with revolutionary sentiment and with the Imperial government in total disarray on June 17th the Workers Commonwealth of Borovanger was established. However from the start the Commonwealth was wracked with internal disputes as several factions began to emerge, the hard line Red League who wish to continue the revolution into neighboring regions, the radical socialist People's Alliance who believe that the Commonwealth must focus on reforming itself rather than on interventionism and lastly the Liberal party something of a hodgepodge of various political organisations left over from the old regime, while only having limited support among the population their ties to the diplomatic and business communities means that the Liberal party continues to remain relevant.
