It was early morning at the government headquarters in Port Madeline, Governor Isadora Smith the first native to hold the post was preparing to meet with the Senate and Chamber of Deputies, they were deciding whether or not to begin a campaign for full recognition as a member of the Kingdom of Veniasufia this could make or break her career and Isadora was going to risk it all just to give her people the rights they deserved it was to be a long.

Later That Day...

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies had convened in the Senatorial Building the meeting had just begun and Isadora came up to the podium and started her speech.

Isadora: Fellow citizens of Veniasufia I meet to discuss the long struggle for equal rights our people have fought it shall be long and arduous like there battles to colonize us but we shall unite and get ourselves the rights we deserve whether from the left, right or centre if you stand by me I will try my hardest to get us these rights we deserve so much and will not stop until we are constituent countries of Veniasufia.

A Far-right senator stands up it is her main rival LuAndre Auralias.

LuAndre: And how will you do this Governor ask for it peacefully like everything else you've asked for what if the people don't want this what if they want us to stay as we are a colony because I know my supporters do.

Isadora: Now, now Auralias no need to attack me when I'm fighting for our RIGHTS.

A long debate ensues and by the end of the day both sides are worn out and annoyed that what was supposed to be a peaceful meeting of Senate turned into a horrible nightmare.

That Night...

Isadora was in her study at the Gubernatorial Palace when Anita her maid walked in.

Anita: Lady Isadora you have a visitor shall I send him in.

Isadora: Of Course, Anita tell them to come through.

Isadora straightned herself up the best she could spraying herself with the air freshener. To Isadora's surprise Martin Nufuende the responsible minister in the Parliament of Veniasufia walked in.

Martin: So Isadora, I heard about your hopes I will support you in Parliament the best I can but know if this all happens you may lose some of your power to Mr.Hanrach.

Isadora: Okay.

Isadora thought about it although on the outside she seemed like she truly cared for all her people inside her goal was power and she wasn't sure if she could give up all the power she had.

Martin: So, Lady Smith what is your reaction.

She thought and she knew she had to do it for her people.

Isadora: Please, please do help us we need you in our corner Mr. Nufuende.

Martin: Then it is decided I will speak to Mr. Hanrach but I must go for my flight I am leading a debate on new water treatment services in the Senate tomorrow and need to get back in time.

Isadora: O...Okay Mr Nufuende I will see you then.

Martin: Goodbye, Lady Smith.

After he left she realized what she had done, what she wanted had someone fighting for it but she couldn't think of her people losing there own rule and being forced to be a part of the big government she had lost them their autonomy and had to make sure they kept there rights.

It was late evening in the Capital of Port Madeline and Governor Smith had just returned from a show at the Imperial Opera House in downtown Port Madeline when her secretary ran in "Lady Isadora, it's the Queen she's on the direct line to Corcidia".Governor Smith had been sent a 27 page detail on the recent events in Veniasufia and was deeply troubled of course she could say nothing because otherwise the Royalist and Loyalists would force her to step down from her position. She Replied "Of Course, I will be there in one moment I just need to grab some papers". The Secretary nodded then dashed off the Governor picked up the detail and went down into her so called underground office which was really called the crisis centre but who really cared she sat at her battered desk and answered the phone to the melodious voice of her Majesty "Hello, Lady Smith I wish to inform you of my plan to bring our Empire ever closer and prevent it's collapse in this time of ... uncertainty shall we say" Isadora thought carefully before replying "Yes, I understand so does that mean you agree with the reforms our Senate is pushing" She sat there waiting for bad news when suddenly the Queen replied "Yes, yes yes that is what I meant I'm glad I don't have to go on a tangent about all this so you fully understand me, that's great well thank goodness you seem happy about it because I had my assistant send a message to the New Constantine saying that was the plan" Happy yet confused Isadora replied "Ah... good good so I imagine I will have to visit to sign this landmark deal" She waited for about 5 minutes before a reply came from the Queen "Well not quite yet it has to be voted through in both our senates not to mention the Council of the People in the Caraco's, Annika, Talamh Glas and the Isle of Goth but since this has been what you've wanted for years now I would imagine it will pass with resounding success" Isadora thought about it before taking an almighty breath "Well, No you see I personally believe a referendum is the only way I've been reading up on them and..." but before she could finish "Okay fine a referendum it is we will have to see what we can do" before ending the call.
