Off the Coast of Milesia
I.N.S. Geist, Command Ship
Admiral Vincze was sitting at his desk, tapping a pen against his desk. Upon it sat mountains of paperwork, most of it intel from the operations in Milesia. His eyes continuously glanced from his desk to the map on his wall that detailed the relative positions of the Ivernish, Cumbrian, and Carintho-Harkaner Fleets.
“All this and we still haven’t made contact,” Admiral Vincze thought to himself.
He stepped up from his desk and walked closer to the map. He placed his fingers on what intel suggested were Kadikistani strongholds in Milesia. His finger laid upon Lowport in particular. Despite being a soldier almost his entire life, he still couldn’t help but feel for the death of God’s children. His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on his door.
“Come in,” the Admiral called.
“Admiral Vincze,” Commander Schmeling started.
“Tell me Commander, there are three fleets operating around Milesia. A sizable force has been brought here. We’ve yet to come across a Kadikistani ship,” the Admiral pondered.
“There is a rather important matter we are to discuss,” the Commander stated “We have new orders from Linz. It is confirmed that naval vessels from the Socialist World Republic will be carrying humanitarian aide to Milesia are to continue operating. Both the Ivernish and Cumbrian Fleets will grant them passage, command has ordered us to do the same.”
“Humanitarian aide?” the Admiral was skeptical “They believe that?”
“I’m not sure. I know I don’t, but I’m not making the orders,” Schmeling replied “However if we are to spot these ships, we have permission to inspect them if necessary. They have also provided us with detailed maps and intel on the whereabouts of the ships…all in all, they seemed rather open”
“We have the upper hand here,” the Admiral replied going back to his desk “Granted, if Ivernia and Cumbria have given permission it puts us in a rather awkward position. So here’s what we do; we will not inspect every single Republican vessel that crosses the quarantine, that will be rather tiresome on the operations. However, all Imperial Vessels are obligated to examine Republican vessels from affair and if it is deemed necessary, they have permission to inspect.”
“Yes sir,” the Commander agreed.
“Also, if this is our course, inform command that it is necessary to increase our anti-submarine operations and air patrol,” the Admiral added.
“Of course.”
The Commander saluted the Admiral and existed his private quarters. Vincze leaned back in his seat and let out a great sigh.
“what are they up to?” he thought.
