During the Gangyasaw Festival in the capital Leyce, a stampede erupted during the main event and caused the deaths of 4 people, including a senator's son. The funeral has been attended by hundreds. After the incident, the Chancellor decides to enforce strict restrictions on the yearly event. However, the festival brings many tourists and these restrictions might do harm for the tourism sector.

-Spiritual leaders protest against abortion

Clergy and laity join a protest in Balamguete against the legalization of abortion in the country. Some say ,"Abortion is murder, and making it legal breaks God's rule! The police are already wary of the rising number of people for the protest and are preparing for a full-on riot.

Chetnik Empire suggest the nation of Winfrew to ban the abortion. While the abortion is one of the biggest sins in all of the religions in same time its counter-productive to nations population, by making a negative population growth. Now someone may say "What about freedom of people". I always say onto that, government which allows their citizens this "freedom", certainly doesnt even care about his country, but rather cares about their pockets, and themselves. Government should teach the people to live good, healthy life and help them doing so, in same time banning the "not good stuff", cause we are humans and we are sinful, human should have "limitations" if we can call it that way, to keep its population safe from the danger of this modern world, cause in every corner there is something today, and most of the times that something is bad in long term, but great in short term... And we often, so often fall for this stuff, we are weak, and its hard to resist, more people will fall for it. And that my brothers, abortion, drugs, alchohol etc... Most of people who abort their children will later be sorry that they did so, even if they are not religious! And thats not just bad for them, its bad for the country. For sake of your country, your people, and your soul at the end, ban the abortion! - From patriarch public speech after he got asked.

For the Dictator of the Chetnik Empire

In response to your conments of the lifting of the ban of abortion, we would like to say for the first part, that Winfrew oversees a separation of Church and State. We do not enforce laws based on any form of religious doctrine. We are confused of your reasoning of how you believed us to be a religious nation, only after just recently going into the international sphere. Now, in accordance of the abortion lift. The government has lifted thus ban in accordance with the rise of black market abortions in the nation before this. The situation has consistently been getting worse for the past couple of years, and we have decided to lift the ban to prevent many of our citizens from getting illegal and possibly dangerous medical procedures from untrained people. As of now, we cannot ban abortion once more due to our current situation. I hope you understand good sir.

  • Department of Education Removes Asdore's Journal from curriculum
The Department of Education removes the collection of excerpts known otherwise as Asdore's Journal from being taught in primary and secondary schools. They say that the collection of excerpts is "unorganized, unproven, and should not be taught until the said documents have been reorganized and have been shown to be true."

In response to this, attention and pressure has been put on historians and anthropologists to try to find and research more about Winfrew in the past, however the progress will be slow as said by one professor. "The books we have received from before the Great Movement riots are only very few to count, and many that we have found are not from the time before." They have been saying that the department wants to pressure the professors into finding evidence by bringing the journal into the spotlight, as revenge from one of the members for concealed reasons.

  • Government Plans for International Market
The government has announced plans of negotiating trade routes between Winfrew and other nations situated by the Gothic, and Wergorent Seas, and the Engell Channel. The finance minister has said during the announcement, "After the Great Movement, our small country has never truly recovered and has become more isolated, but now, I think we are very much ready to try to encourage trade with other nations, to grow our economy and become a more influential country in the region." Some may be excited, but however the foreign minister is feeling all not too hasty to plan for trade negotiations. He has said, "We have not gone into international matters for years, and we only now have just begun exposing oursleves to the region, and you already plan to ask for trade?! Other nations barely have any idea on who or what we are as a country. It will be too mich of a risk to be so quick to act . We should rather wait, until we are more situated with other nations, especially our land and sea neighbors." However, despite his views, the rest of the government agrees; it's time to let Winfrew begin opening up after isolation.

Other news:
Anti-abortion protests have died down and is put under control
Demolition of old mall in capital is underway
Closing of hotel and branches due to illegal trading

To whom it may concern,

We are glad to welcome our neighbor into the world economy and would recommend setting up a trade agreement between our two nations. Your period of isolationism has hurt trade between our two nations and it must be revitalized in order to regrow your nation after the Great Movement.

Signed,

Nickos Economos

  • Meetings planned between Aegada, Telora, and Serenierre
Quickly after the announcements, the somewhat nearby nations of Aegad, Telora, and Serenierre have agreed on meetings for negotiations and trade. There is even a summit invitation from Serenierre that has been accepted and is being prepared for. The Ministry of Finance has said that this will improve the economy and lifestyle for everyone, but nothing is guaranteed. The reluctant Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francis Reyes, has decided to take part of the plans, but he tries to prevent further spread like this until much much later.

  • Students and Teachers Protest about Removal of Journal
Many protests have formed around numerous schools around the country about the removal of the Journal from curriculum. Many, especially teenage students graduating next year were planning to do research projects and that the inaccuracy of the journal could be used for want-to-be historians. It was obvious the government had not expected such a quick and strong outcry to this, let alone the Department of Education. The protests are only getting stronger and rallying more students, and many are getting worried about how this could be handled, specifically by law enforcers.

Pilgrimages Cause Long Traffic
As Holy Week arrives with Palm Sunday around the corner, many Christians have gone to churches and cathedrals in numerous towns and cities causing traffic on many roads to the towns. The government plans to open temporary bus lines directly to the pilgrimage sites. The traffic has lengthened travel time by hours from Leyce to Bulamguete which takes 4 hours at normal by car. Government officials are greatly worried about the scale of this event. They believe that the outdated transportation services will barely make a difference on the traffic situation.

Military Budget Lowered. Fear of Coup?
From a leak, it has been discovered the government has lowered military budget to a record low of 0.4% GDP. No one knows the reason for the drastic decrease of military budget and an addition of removing 20,000 troops from service. Since the revealing of the budget cut, conspirators have made many accusations and conspiracies. The most popular as of now is the fear of another coup d'etat, which already numbered at 12 since the 4th Republic established at 1889 and with the Chancellor only recently was put into power by a coup. Others believe that there are plans of international neutrality and making way for greater modernization and urban renewal. The government is now on all eyes by the citizens by such a radical change from a military prioritized history and administrations.

6 Deaths Due to Pilgrim Traffic
As Holy Week comes to a close, there has been a record of 6 deaths due to the length of traffic. There are many who have said that some have abandoned their old outdated vehicles and walked to their destinations. The outdated public transport was slow and very much unable to handle the dire situation, but things will get better once Sunday is over, but this incident has caused mass criticism and protests in towns, with some getting quickly out of control. The government is on a knife's edge, but since when has it been not? This is of small scale to the frequent coup attempts but the government has taken precautions and the lower of budget prevented another militaristic outcry, but the Chancellor may finally have good plans for us.

A New Name for A New Era?
After numerous rumors, the Chancellor has announced it publicly; the country has a new name: FRIANAS. Chancellor Brandon Ma Cramos has stated that this revival of an old identity will be a revival of the country's hopeful but turbulent past. The country hasn't been called Frianas since the first independence movement of the country, and has prospered during the monarchy. In accordance to this, this news outlet has officialy changed name to the Frianas Flyer and will move to a new place for its announcements. We would like to thank you for being with us.
