(KREMLYOV) More news continues to flow out of the Imperial Palace as the new Emperor is positioning himself into the position of power and beginning to release his own policies and changes. The announcement was made that he would finish his fathers work on the military expansion and even look to strengthen it further. Stating that the Grand Kremlin Palace would continue to position itself as one of the great nations of the world for decades to come. The media briefing with his televised speech stated that two of the newly raised combined arms armies under his father would be relocated to the Crown Colony of Maghreb, another would be assigned as the first permanent stations of Imperial Troops to the Noks Free State, and lastly one more for the new region of Westmark.

The Josefino Archbishop has in the past only been rumored to oppose the vision of his fellow Josefino clergyman, but this is the first time open disagreement has been initiated. Archbishop Diaz-Cia also announced his intention to hold mass tomorrow for "an emergency but necessary sermon against this rot that is setting in the Holy See."

KREMLOYOV) The Imperial Duma has announced in reciprocation a series of bans and sanctions against the Republic of Tianlong for the sanctions issued against the empire. Included was reciprocal sanctions against all politicians of the republic and its major banks, a complete ban to all petroleum, agricultural products, and natural gas from the empire. In a further step it has prohibited businesses and nations which import said products from the empire from turning the raw materials into other manufactured goods that may find their way to Tianlong markets, failure to comply could result in limiting their access to the vast markets of the Empire and its colonial holdings. Seizure of four crude tankers currently in holdover in Al-Gharb and other business assets in the crown colony of Magrab have also been ordered. The Duma also announced a "gas holiday" artificially deflating the price of gasoline and diesel across the country, making it significantly cheaper than any other country in the world with the ability to further reduce the pricing if needed. Which is opposite of issues facing much of the world with significantly higher fuel prices.

NEWS LEVEL: ORANGE (HIEROSOLYMA) Prime Minister Sophokles Angelopoulos has announced his government's plan to enact a partial abortion ban, along with a bachelor tax for unmarried men over 30 and unmarried women over 25. Mr. Angelopoulos is currently visiting Hierosolyma in the run-up to the Feast of the Dormition, one of Pelasgia's main religious holidays. Rumours had abounded about his plan to announce a major piece of social legislation, but the actual measure proposed took many by surprise, causing wide debate in Pelasgian society. The Prime Minister will remain in the Holy City ahead of a local by-election, and to promote his proposed legislation.​

NEWS LEVEL: RED (HIEROSOLYMA) Prime Minister Sophokles Angelopoulos has been transported to Hierosolyma Main Military Hospital after a failed attempt on his life. The PM's condition is stable, and the attacker has been apprehended, according to official reports. The attack took place outside of the Propontine Catholic Exarchate, where the PM was visiting to officially announce that the Government would henceforth only recognise the Exarchate as the legitimate representative of Pelasgia's Catholics. The attacker, who belongs to a radical pro-Pope Catholic group, attempted to kill the PM with a handgun, before being tackled by security officials.​

(KREMLYOV) Foreign Minister Afanasy Matveyev on his first overseas trip since taking the ministerial position has returned to the capitol city from Pelasgia announcing the creation of the first ever organization for the control of pricing and supply of the worlds oil industry, which could further expand someday to include branches of all fossil fuels. Officials from the Tsars regime are hailing it as a step towards sustainability today, tomorrow, and into the future. An invitation to Scanlaw to join as a founding member alongside the Pelasgian and Tarusan Empires has been extended.

On top of existing tax exemptions, shipowners would receive tax credits for new ships purchased, with a view to multiplying the size of Pelasgia’s fleet. Moreover, union rules and other regulations in the shipping sector would further be relaxed. Additionally, the Infrastructure Ministry has decided to double funding for existing harbour and rail upgrade initiatives, with a view to speeding up and cheapening international shipping via Pelasgia.​

NEWS LEVEL: GREEN (Callao) ENA (Empresa Nacional de Automóviles) announces a record breaking year in orders for personal cars, as the oil price rise starts to be felt at the petrol stations. More than half a million cars of the ENA Selva, Baltra and Cumana will be made in 2022, most of them working on the flexible fuel engine, which is adapted to avoid the wear and tear of ethanol based fuels on normal gasoline engines. Out of the 500,000 total orders for this year as of yet, 300,000 come from Corrientes, 100,000 from Tianlong, 50,000 from San Jose and the rest from the rest of the world.​

NEWS LEVEL: RED (Callao) A lorry bomb blast rocked central Callao, exploding on the Plaza Mayor de Callao, heavily damaging the Palacio de la Policía, the Archbishop's Palace and the San Jose Cathedral. One death have been reported as of yet and 44 injured, as there has been a 123 call to report the blast half an hour before it exploded, which allowed the authorities to evacuate the area. What surprised everyone was the power of the blast, with the equivalent of 1,200 kgs of TNT exploding, damaging a much larger area than expected, shattering windows up to 2 blocks away, thus creating the most injuries.​

NEWS LEVEL: GREEN (PROPONTIS) Philippos Andreades, Member of the Boule for Propontis B2 electoral district, has been confirmed as leader of the governing Constitutional Democratic Party following a confidence vote. Mr. Andreades, who won out against retiring PM S. Angelopoulos' protégé, Justice Minister K. Sphrantzes, has included several members of the previous cabinet in his new coalition, while offering a ministerial appointment to Mr. Sphantzes. The new leader is set to be appointed as Prime Minister tomorrow, following an official meeting with His Majesty the Emperor in the Great Palace of Propontis.​

(KREMLYOV) With the Gothic Exclusion zone in place due to the crisis in the Gothic, as it has been labeled by the palace, the Ministry of Industry and Development has released a statement stating that shipping from the Empire and to the Empire will be facing delays which will inevitably be causing a price shock domestically and abroad on various goods. This comes on the heels of the ending of the Tianese sanctions which will undoubtedly drag out the time of inflated prices on some goods while adding increased prices in many others. The Ministry has announced that it will seek partnerships to build oil and gas pipelines across Gallo-Germania to prevent allied states on the continent and others from facing disruptions as well as to provide a source for cheaper fossil fuels versus shipping.

(AL-GHARB) Insurgents have struck a military base in central Al-Maghreb in an overnight attack. The insurgents hit the base in the late hours of the evening using mortars and other small arms fire before retreating into the desert. The brief exchange happened around 2am local time and lasted for no more than an hour before the sounds of gunfire ceased at the outpost in the sparsely populated central part of the country. No military casualties were reported and no insurgent bodies were found in the early morning perimeter sweep that followed the exchange.

The Emperor's son, Grand Despot Alexios Vatatzes, will continue in his duties as the Emperor's acting successor until his own enthronement and elevation to the Purple are validated by the Senate, as required by Pelasgo-Tiburan imperial tradition. An official period of mourning has been declared across Pelasgia by both secular and religious authorities.​
