Latest version of the forum software installed. It brings tweaks, bugfixes and other small stuff - in short: nothing too new or interesting for you.

Proceed.

Apparently there are some problems which I did not expect thus far with the way the forum software handles the database. As it stands now, the post table is basically a few spots "off", so the software writes into the wrong fields. While this is not problematic currently, this will make things take a nasty turn in the long run as it will begin to overwrite old posts to replace them with new ones, eventually corrupting the entire structure of the database beyond repair.

Luckily I still have a backup from October which I will install in an hour or so after having taken the appropriate backup measures. I'm sorry, but this is the only way with which we can ensure that our posts won't be eaten alive in the future. You still have an hour to backup all your relevant roleplay though, so things should not be too bad.

If you want to read more about the technical aspects of this problem (which I doubt), head straight over to the Q&A page of the software company (trust me, their servers are running hot with people reporting the same problem right now):

It is April fools. It's been over an hour, nothing has been lost thus far and he has backups earlier than October. :) I did fall for it for about a minute, though.
