Hans Hoven chosen as the new Premier of the Council

Today, the Administrative Council declared that Hans Hoven, 55, has been unanimously chosen to hold the position of the Premier of the Council. Hoven therefore succeeds Lars Nehlen, who was proclaimed deceased due to a heart failure this Friday.

Premier Hoven has had a remarkable career in the Government, becoming a Bureaucrat at the Bureau of International Communications at the age of 20. Since then, he has steadily risen among the ranks of the Bureaucrats of the afore-mentioned Bureau, culminating in the position of the Councillor of the Bureau of International Communications in 2003.

Councillor Linken of the Bureau of National Communications stated that besides Premier Hoven's merits in the necessary fields of politics, he also more than adequetly personifies Vitlandic values and national spirit, making him the most fitting choice as the figurehead of the nation.

Premier Hoven himself will be giving his speech on Monday.

Unusual weather creates disturbances in the Smuldronen

Unusually rough wind has been causing disturbances in the Smuldronen, the island area in the northern Vitland, for a couple of days now, tell the Vitlandic Coastal Authorities. The wind has caused major harm to smaller fishing vessels in particular, although the larger ones have not been spared by nature, either.

The Bureau of Agriculture has issued a statement in which they say that while the situation is unfortunate, they see no reason to gather additional funds to help the fishermen just yet. The Bureau also assured that the situation will cause little to no harm to national economy.

The Premier To Improve International Relations; Vows to Eradicate Terrorists

On his speech last Monday, Premier Hoven promised to improve Vitland's relations with other nations.
Speaking before the nation in the Council Hall, the Premier stated that in this era where globalist agenda runs rampant, it is vital for nationally conscious people like those of Vitland to cooperate with each other, so that the world will not drown in a tide of globalism.

Premier Hoven also addressed another issue that the Council is going to tackle: terrorism. As has been shown by the reports of the Bureau of Domestic Security, various terrorist groups, most notably the Free Brothers of Christ, have become increasingly active during the last few years. While foreign funding of these groups has neither been ruled out nor proven factual, Premier Hoven nevertheless emphasized the fact that these groups need to be taken care of before they can cause any serious damage to the nation and the people of Vitland. What methods are required to achieve this remains to be seen.

Cast aside on the ashen fields of battle lies the devices of independence that the scourge of globalist puppeteers wishes we could not recognize. Rally around the flags of national pride, says Životinje to Vitland, through self reliance also lies victory over communal oppression. In the honorable quest to improve international relations, never forget the fundamentals of liberty and pride.

Subversive Elements Removed from the Media

After a while of international media silence, Vitlandica Nyheter has returned to operate as normal. The reason for this period of silence was an operation launched by the Bureau of Domestic Safety to identify and apprehend subversive, anti-nationalistic elements from the Vitlandic media.

The Director of the Bureau of Domestice Safety Hjalmar Skuldrike said in an interview that the Bureau had for some time suspected that there were elements in the national media who were using their status as providers of information in order to undermine national safety and create an atmosphere of mistrust and division within the ranks of common people. These elements have now been removed from the media, and replaced with more rational, trustworthy personnel.

Vitlandica Nyheter congratulates the Bureau for this spectacular accomplishment to ensure the unity of our people, and promises that it will from now on properly fulfill its task as the servant of the nation.

The Commonwealth government expresses its criticism over the violations against the sacred freedom of the press - a right that surely must be granted to all men in all countries - carried out by the Vitlandic regime. We urge the release of any journalists imprisoned by the government in Vitland.

Regards,
Mr. William Fenner,
Minister of External Affairs
