New Imperial Science Institute Opens
After months of hard work and excitement today the day came that the new Imperial Science Institute opened in the capital city, Morioka. The institute is part of a new government effort to combat a number of diseases particularly rampant in Yomogita. The institute will also be working on a number of other research projects. The project is a symbol of the nations strive towards modernisation and improving the lives of all of it's citizens. With cures that can be discovered comes a new sense of freedom for poorer Yomogitans who can live their lives without fear of dying at a young age due to a disease that is easily curable. There also comes a chance for a better future as these Yomogitans can now be fit and healthy enough to gain the skills needed to move up the social and economic hierarchy of Yomogita.
As he spoke outside the opening Emperor Daichi seemed truly fascinated by the possibilities this could bring. "As an avid fan of the sciences I find it exciting that I may be Emperor of one of the scientifically greatest nations in Europe. This new institute brings a brighter future to the people of our great Empire. I want everyone to know the possibilities this brings are truly great. I hope to be opening many more of these in the future". The Emperor, who has a degree in physics, has contributed from his personal wealth to the building of more of these institutes. The Imperial family has always endorsed these sorts of projects with the Imperial Scientific Society having been supported by them for almost 150 years.
There are many more scientific institutes being planned and funded by the government and their strategy for technological and scientific development seems very clear. The path has been set to take Yomogita forward and now it must take the steps necessary to reach it's destination, success. The hope of science is endless and the people of our great Empire are now truly beginning to see this.
