We are very concerned about the arrestment of Mr. Marquez, who did nothing else but pointing at something going wrong. A government cannot function properly if it does not know about things going wrong in the country. We also echo the words of the Brazulian Foreign Ministry that the reputation of Pindorama will suffer when this country continues to oppres Christians. We will monitor the situation closely and inform our citizens to be careful in Pindorama, and also we would like to get guarantees that our citizens won’t be arrested for their beliefs when visiting Pindorama.

Serial Killer caught
AP Cid City

A serial killer that had been threatening Cid City has finally been caught in the late evening of the 9th of July. According to police, the captured Metody Slusarski is the prime suspect after being caught red-handed raping a corpse in Vikzhny Park. Homeless people had contacted the police after they heard screaming in the park. "I heard the screaming from the park, I did not think about helping, I ran to the police quickly" said the homeless man who went to the police. Another homeless man tried to stop Metody, but was stabbed in the abdomen and was brought to hospital. He was in a stable condition as of this morning.

"Metody Slusarski has, as we have discovered, also killed his parents, his dog and the entirety of his family's chickens. We believe he is schizophrenic and has hallucinations. Upon our arrival, Mr. Slusarski attempted to attack the officers on the scene but he was quickly subdued." police spokesman Waldemar Sokolof informed the collected press in front of the police building where Slusarski was being held. According to the police, Slusarski is accused therefore of 3 murders so far, but has admitted to 30 or more further murders in the Cid City area. Police have now opened various other cases from the past in an attempt to find connections.

Aodh-Mór Space Corps fail to blast off
AP Alderburgh

Reports have come in that the Aodh-Mór No. 22, an experimental manned rocket has exploded on the launch pad.

Captain Alexander Fox, a renowned test pilot was pronounced to have died in the explosion. The Aodh-Mór Corporation has publicly stated their ''sincerest condolences for the friends and family of Captain Fox. His expertise, willingness for progress and to push the boundaries of aviation will never be forgotten.''

The Aodh-Mór No. 22 is the 22nd rocket to have failed to launch, the 4th operated by a test pilot, and the 1st to result the the death of the pilot.

Many in the House of Representatives have criticized the Aodh-Mór Corporation for the ''blatant and pointless waste of funding on pipedreams.'' Some politicians have called for a cut of funding for the semi-state owned company in order to ''release funds from the space project to create more jobs.''

Fishermen protest in Villesen, attempt attack on Ivernian ambassador
AP Villesen

Following simmering tensions between Belmont and Ivernia over fishing in the Gothic Sea, an issue that has been an emotive point in Belmontien politics this past year, has flared up again as members of the fishing community descended upon Villesen to protest outside the Ivernian Embassy. Prior to adequate police showing up, a group of three teens associated with the protest threw rotten fish guts on the vehicle of the Ivernian ambassador. The three teens have been arrested and the Belmontien Government has officially apologized for the incident. Following the event, a heavy contingent of police has been deployed to the area to contain the protest and to limit their interaction with Ivernian diplomats and embassy staff.

The Government of Belmont has been seeking to restart dialogue on the issue with Ivernia following the election of Mrs. Shahrazad Martinique to the Premiership but the mood in Alderburgh is cool towards the new Liberal Government in Villesen. However, it is suggested that the Liberals may perhaps be more willing to compromise than the ousted Democratic government.

Fire and turmoil in the Ivernish Himyari Commonwealth
AP Dun O Dheas

Reports have come in from the Ivernish Himyari Commonwealth of a series of raids along eastern Chósta na tSolais - known as the least developed region of the Commonwealth. The raids have been reported as organised gangs or ''hedge militias'' using modern weaponry to attack and destroy towns and street villages along the tail-like coastline.

Reports of survivors being taken into slavery have not been verified at this time.

The Commonwealth Provincial Government has not yet confirmed if this is the same militia reported to have been behind the series of attacks in the same areas at the beginning of the year, which was reportedly ''ended'' by the Ivernish Military which began a series of military excursions in the region.

With these recent attacks it is now a possibility the High Kingdom shall have to cease plans for troop removal from the Commonwealth and re-instigate it's ''direct action anti-terrorism campaign.''

Diamond Protests in the Ivernish Himyari Commonwealth
AP Dun O Dheas

Major protests are occurring in Dun O Dheas and Newhopetown over the decision of the United Silvercoast Traders Mining Company (AAMMCC) to move the newly discovered New Hope Diamond to Ivernia for show in the Ivernish Imperial Museum.

Interestingly the protesters are coming from all corners of the Commonwealth Populace, both Native and Settler alike.

''It's incomprehensable!'' Stated 3rd generation settler Garvin O'Houlihan. ''The pride of the Commonwealth and Commonwealth industry immediately taken up north on show to the Ivernish homeborn.''

''I'm a proud Ivernishman like any other, but the colonial cringe of showing our big find to ''the masters'' is so demeaning.''

Many of the settlers demand that the Diamond should go on show in an Ivernish Himyari Commonwealth museum first.

The native-commonwealthfolk demand the return of the diamond from the AAMMCC chanting ''people of the land, not the pockets of the man.''

Student-Republican Protests Brought to an End
AP Vedrarfjord

Since the death of the President of the Continental Republic of Sylvania, Sander Rygaard, Main Street in Vedrarfjord has been the stage of a major sit in protest organised by the republican Federal Ivernia group and local student unions, including the University of Vedrarfjord Student Union.

The protest however this Sunday has been put to rout. Quoting ''increasing crime levels'' within the radius of Main Street and the protest, as well as complaints from the Traders Union of Vedrarfjord in the build up to Christmas - the Garda Síochána Vedrarfjord has been removing protesters from the street since the early morning.

Police in riot gear have been spotted by local journalists however the Garda Síochána is reporting ''a smooth removal of protesters.''

Páirtí Ríoga has been the first party to comment on the removal, complimenting the Garda Síochána on their ''Swift removal'' and condemned the protesters, calling out ''their ultra liberal anti-intellectualism needs to be put in check. Students are on a rampage in Vedrarfjord and have shown great disrespect for months towards the Gardaí and the Ivernish people both.''

Student Republican Protest recommence ''No Voice, No Representation''
AP Vedrarfjord

Following what was declared a ''peaceful removal'' by the national press in Ivernia, the student union and Federal Ivernia protesters have returned in full force - this time will barricades in tow. Unwilling to move and with re-armaments, the international community has expressed concern hoping that the Ivernish Government will handle the matter delicately.

With national approval levels for the protest outside of Vedrarfjord very low, and with an election coming up with major parties eager to capitalize this protest is culminating into a power keg situation.

Dermott Keegan, who APwire was led to believe is leading the Student Protests, complained of the lack media time for the protests and the general government media bias on a national level.

''Nuachtán na hÍvernia, Gaelport, Nuacht Gaelach, no major newspaper or radio has even attempted to get in touch with us; the protesters. It's all a sham. The only reason you're talking to me now is because we came back with arms and barricades. Ain't no way we're leaving now!''

Belmontien government condemns Ivernia
AP Villesen

The Government of Belmont has issued fresh calls for a serious dialogue to resolve the Gothic Sea fishing dispute and has condemned the inaction on part of the Ivernian Government. The Minister of Foreign Affairs hosted a meeting with ambassadors from many noted countries and spoke candidly with members of the international and national press in expressing the Belmontien government's exasperation at the attitude being adopted by the Government in Alderburgh. The Minister stated that Alderburgh was bitterly opposed to resolving the matter in a amicable manner and was seriously undermining regional stability by their less than diplomatic conduct, in regards to the Belmontien requests.

The Government's harsh criticism comes as 12,000 members of the coastal fishing community in Tir Daraigh, known in Belmont as Tirderre, converged in the republican capital to protest outside the Embassy of Ivernia. With the attack on the Ambassador's car with rotten fish entrails, from earlier this year, still fresh in the authorities' minds, a heavy contingent of police officers has cordoned the immediate area of the Embassy and granted enhanced protocol for the security of the Ivernian Ambassador. Premier Martinique, while speaking to the demonstrators, stated that the Ivernian ambassador must not be attacked in any form or way.

Teloran President opens talks with opposition parties to save key bill
AP, Telor City

Teloran President Hjalmar Almquist has offered to open talks with leaders of other parties in the Teloran Congress as a rebellion within the centre-right National Party threatens to prevent the passage of his Agricultural Support Bill. The Socialist President had joined with the National Party to pass the bill, with the National Party stating it was the best deal possible for rural communities, and the Socialist Party welcoming it as a step towards the 'rationalisation' of agriculture in the country. However, a growing number of National Party members of the lower chamber of Congress, the House of Session, have announced they will not vote for the bill and a similar number are believed to have decided to join their colleagues in rebellion. As a result, most commentators believe the bill will struggle to achieve a single-digits majority in the chamber.

The President's offer of talks to the Centre Party, the Christian Union and the Estland Party has still come as a surprise; most commentators were expecting a resumption of emergency talks between the Socialist and National Party leaderships that began on Friday morning. In his statement released to the press, President Almquist made it clear he was not abandoning co-operation with the National Party on the bill, but was instead "seeking to build a broader coalition [...] united by our common interest in the welfare of the Teloran people." None of the three parties approached have yet responded to the call, though senior Christian Union figures have already told Teloran newspapers they have no intention of supporting the President on this bill. As yet, there has been no formal statement from the National Party leadership on this offer.

Despot abdicates in Caria - succeeded by Executive Assembly
AP, Nauplio
The Carian despot abdicated yesterday after a vote by the City States' Archons to depose him, in favour of which all but one voted. The Despot has handed power over to the Executive Assembly in Antikyra until a new constitution is adopted. The former Despotic family has relocated to Demetrias, the last City State loyal to them. The Executive Assembly itself has proclaimed elections for a Constitutional Assembly.

President Cardona Grants Refuge Status to all Carians
AP Solis

Today, President Cardona has announced that Auraria will provide security, housing, food, and healthcare to any Carian Citizen who manages to cross the border in light of the recent unrest in the country. Along with the announcement was the deployment of several thousand Civil Guardsmen to oversee the facilities that will be housing the Carian refugees.

“It is contrarian to all values of our society to not provide sanctuary for those escaping the horrors of war,” President Cardona spoke “The decision made today is a humanitarian one.”

Solis, the colloquial term for the Government of Auraria, has interrupted the refugee doctrine broadly throughout the years. In 1895, the People’s Congress sent a resolution to the President to grant refugee status to:

“Any individual, regardless of any creed or identity, who seeks to escape the exploitation of capitalism.”

Every Congress and President has renewed the resolution on an annual basis.

Eiffellandian pharmaceutical company Boehrig Ingelheim introduces treatment for menstruation disorders

The Eiffellandian pharmaceutical company announced in a press conference that it has introduced a new medication to regulate disrupted menstruational cycles. A spokesperson of the company explained that the medication, called Microgyne, consists of a combination of Ethinyloestradiol and Progesterone (both female hormones regulating the menstruational cycle). "A menstruational disorder can be quite a burden to women. We are not only talking about irregular menstruational periods, but also about excessive bleeding during menstruation. Both can be regulated with our new therapy Microgyne," he said. One of the journalists asked a question about one of the side-effects mentioned in the information leaflet: Temporary infertility. The spokesperson of Boehrig Ingelheim confirmed that this side-effect was seen with Microgyne. When another journalist remarked that Microgyne could also be used as contraception, the spoke-person of Boehrig Ingelheim indicated that "Microgyne is a medication to treat irregular menstrual bleeding", and that the temporary infertility is "a side-effect".

Teloran Navy commissions new long-range tanker
AP, Telor City

After 2 years under construction, the first of the Teloran Navy's new longer-range fleet replenishment vessels, the RTS Jarl has been commissioned at a ceremony in Nidaros. The vessel, one of 4 ordered in late 1952 as demands for an expanded long-distance capacity for the Teloran navy grew, will be able to refuel the Navy's largest vessels, including the Molnet-class destroyers and the still-building light cruisers, granting the fleet unprecedented range. Teloran officials were keen to stress that, given the expected small size of the Teloran fleet capable of engaging in long-distance blue-water operations - 6 destroyers and 3 light cruisers - that the force would be designed primarily for participating in joint operations, showing the flag or securing Teloran interests against smaller threats. President Almquist has publicly refused to sign any bill that funds a further expansion of this capacity, and has particularly condemned some voices who have called for the navy to also consider buying fleet submarines and even light aircraft carriers.

Fennian emigrants mourn the death of a White military leader
AP Alderburgh

Members of the Fennian emigrant community in Ivernia mourn the death of General Marshal Yrjö Mannermaa-Vettenhovi, Minister of War in the Ivernia-based Monarchist Government-in-Exile and one of the most prominent White military leaders in the Fennian Civil War. Mannermaa-Vettenhovi, at 84 years of age, passed away last night in an Alderburgh hospital where he had been undergoing treatment for a serious peptic ulcer that left him bed-ridden two weeks ago.

Mannermaa-Vettenhovi, born in 1871 to a family of landed nobility in then-Duchy of Turunmaa, enlisted in the Royal Fennian Army at the age of eighteen and was chosen to the prestigious Royal Kalevalan Guards where he served for a number of years before rising to further positions of command in the Fennian military. Much of his reputation came from his service in the 1920-1924 Fennian Civil War, first in command of the 4th Turunmaa Cavalry Division and eventually in the Monarchist Seventh Field Army, one of the last major White units that remained fighting as the Socialist People's Militias gained the upper hand in the last years of the war.

His fame in the Fennian community of emigrants stems from the Seventh Army's last engagement between March and May of 1924, when he spearheaded the defense of the remaining White pockets of Northwest Fennia and facilitated a major White evacuation together with the remnants of the Fennian Royal Navy from the northwestern port city of Valkeasatama.

Dubbed "the last fighting general of the Civil War", he then joined the Royal Fennian Government-in-Exile which had been formed in Ivernia by Duke Kaarle of the House of Väinölä, an uncle of Fennia's last monarch Aleksi V, who in turn had been killed during the last months of the Civil War. From 1924 and 1954, Mannermaa-Vettenhovi served Kaarle Väinölä - who took the name Kaarle II as a claimant for the Fennian throne - and his son who now heads the Government-in-Exile as King-in-Exile Kaarle III Väinölä.

Much of his later years were spent campaigning to raise awareness for the status of the Fennian diaspora that formed in various Scanian and Occidentian countries in the aftermath of the Civil War, and for the situation of civil rights in Socialist- ruled Fennia, until later health troubles forced him to retire from public life. Even then, he kept the title of Minister of War as a honorific on behalf of Kaarle III.

General Marshal Mannermaa-Vettenhovi is to be buried with full military honors later this week in an Alderburgh military cemetary founded by emigrant Fennians.

The Death of the Reformists in Kruseva - an analysis
AP Trier

The recent events unfolding in Kruseva shows that the Maric Thaw that dominated the politics in Kruseva has come to an end. The reforms that the current Voivode, Adamu Zaxaria Maric has done have opened Kruseva to the foreigners, liberalizing the economy, bringing tourists and making the politics more transparent. Before it, the fascist regime created by Iosifu Anic in 1918 was one of the most repressive and obscure regimes in the world. The fascists took control of the country when, during the revolution against the royalist regime, the right-wing guerrillas turned against their communist allies, literally annihilating much of the communist leadership. When the party appointed Adamu Zaxaria Maric as Voivode, it was rightfully believed that the reformists will take control of the country and it will begin to liberalize its politics, this reform culminating with the adoption of a constitution that supported multi-party democracy, but the last events have shown that the Krusevans have returned back to the days of the Anic regime, if not even worse.

The alliance between the Church and the Party is theoretically un-constitutional, if we are to analyse the Constitution of the National Republic of Kruseva and such a thing wouldn't have been accepted by the reformists. This shows that the hardline fascists in the party together with the Slavic Church have organized this alliance. The problem for the reformists is that they can't fight back against this coup d'etat (that is what it actually was). The hardliners, led by Eva Magdalina Atlija have allied with the Church because of the huge support the Church has with the Krusevan people, but from my point of view they did worst thing possible.

The politics of Kruseva are dominated in general by the balance between the two factions from the National Integralist Party: the hardliners and the reformers and the Slavic Christian Church. Usually the Party has the primacy in this whole system, as the two factions from the party usually prefer to form a united front against the Church everytime the Volkhv was getting too ambitious. This happened first when Anic took power and the moderate nationalists supported him over Volkhv Daviidu X in 1919 and then again, when the hardliners supported Magdalina Celic when she took power in 1940 even though she was representing the reformist faction.

But this time, it is different. The death of the first generation of hardliners has brought forth a new, more ambitious and power hungry generation of fascists. This alliance between the hardliners and the Church has literally brought to an end the rule of the reformists in Kruseva. But this alliance itself is very dangerous. If we remember clearly what happened in the Krusevan civil war, which started in 1910, the Church first supported the royalist government and when it seemed that it will be defeated, it changed its support for the Integralists, in 1916. It is clear that since 1916, the Church is hoping that it will also have its chance to get into power, especially when now, in 1955, 39 years have passed since they pledged their allegiance to the NIU. In those 39 years, the two factions from the party have got their change to be in power but the Church hasn't. It is clear that the current Volkhv, Pavelu V will do anything to finally have his chance to be in power. That is why I say that its actually a losing bet for the hardliners and for Atlija. The reformists cannot stop the hardliners and the Church from taking power without asking for outside support and by inviting the old historical parties and the communists back. The hardliners will not be able to stop the rise of the Church as they have to share the state institutions with the reformists and the latter will not cooperate with them, giving the Church and the Volkhv free reign over the National Republic.

The Voivode cannot do anything against all this, because the Accord of Alliance between the Party and the Church puts together the offices of Voivode, Volkhv and Chairmanship of the Party, giving them the same powers so each of the three factions have a word to say in ruling the country. Anywat, in conclusion, we can see how the factions from the party are killing eachother, while the Volkhv and the Church are rounding up non-Slavic Christians to either deport them, or even make them disappear... forever.

Government leak shows plan for a coup d'etat in Caria
AP Trier

A leak from the Krusevan government shows that the Department of National Security, the fearsome secret police of the regime has been keeping contact with the Caria general Attalus Pelasgiotis with the goal of a potential coup d'etat organized by the general with the funding of the Krusevan secret police. The leak has been made by a highly ranked officer from the Department of National Security whose identity has remained anonymous. The documents were received by our editorial office and were also sent to the governments of the Kingdom of Eiffelland, to the Carian City States and to the Fennian Socialist People's Republic.

The documents present the letters sent by the supreme commander of the DNS, General Luka Ilia Latas and the Carian general Attalus Pelasgiotis. The conversation is mostly centered on the presentation of general Pelasgiotis as a savior of the Carian people after the revolutionary period. General Latas is supportive and ready to fund a coup d'etat of Pelasgiotis against the revolutionary city states. In his messages, Latas shows his negative views against liberalism and against social-democracy and he literally beseeches the Carian general to "save the nation" by entering Sounio and Nauplio with his army to take control and thus unite Caria under his regime.

The leak also shows plans of the DNS and the Slavic Church, presenting the fact that the whole planning of this coup was done on the orders of Volkhv Pavelu V, the leader of the Slavic Christian Church. The corespondence shows that the Volkhv and General Latas have been planing of organizing new Caria in the same way the regime in kruseva functions.

The accusations are currently under investigation by the Executive Assembly's Permanent Comission for Public & State Security. As long as the investigation lasts Attalus Pelasgiotis will be taken into custody and relieved of his command. We thank the Associated Press' Office in Trier for the documents. Due t0 suspitions of hostile intent by Kruseva we will move to cut any cooperation with them temporarily and should the alegations be proven we shall have to demand explenations and impose sanctions if they refuse to ractify the situation.
