Arendaal’s Royal StatOil 2011 Expansion Initiative

In order to ensure that Arendaal’s vast reserves of oil and natural gas benefit the broadest possible number of global citizens, Royal StatOil is launching its 2011 Expansion Initiative. This undertaking is designed to increase the number of countries receiving Aren oil & natural gas exports as efficiently and speedily as possible.

The initiative will not only encompass an increase in Aren exports to foreign states, but will also involve increased investment by Royal StatOil in exploring and developing oil fields abroad, in collaboration with foreign governments and oil companies.

As an official endorsement of the campaign, Aren Prime Minister Svea Bjornsen will soon be touring various European regions to champion the initiative and to better diplomatic ties with states far and wide.

All states interested in importing oil and/or natural gas from Arendaal are invited to communicate their interest to StatOil headquarters. The same applies to all states or oil companies interested in collaborating with Royal StatOil in the refinement process or in the development of oil fields in foreign countries.

Oelar is very interested in exploring opportunities to improve the delivery of petroleum and natural gas from Arendaal's nearby reserves into Oelarian ports. Please see our relevant communique.

OOC: as per earlier news posts, because of the lack of refinery capacity in Batavië, Batavian Petroleum trucks a lot of crude oil to Arendaal for refinement. It is then trucked back down to Batavië. As production in Batavië is mostly concentrated on natural gas and the industry is not completely modernised or built up, we probably import the balance of diesel and heating oils from you.

Excellent, Oelar will receive our full cooperation in this regard (details are being arranged via the aforementioned communique)

ooc: Great Batavië would naturally receive every assistance from the Aren government and Royal StatOil in the refinement of their petroleum and the development of oil fields (and the balance of diesel and heating oils would be exported to Batavië replete with a convenient subsidy to ensure that the market remains loyal to Aren imports)

OOC:Wainwright's the head of the Cabinet. There's an actual President too, Charles Breckenridge, but he has very little executive power and the job's basically one for near-retired respected politicians. The same way how Merkel's one of the most important people in Europe but more or less no one actually remembers even the name of the German president.
