| FOOTBALL SEASON TO BEGIN Cid City - After FC Vescillo won the Cidonian First League Championship earlier this year, the contestants for this years football Championship are hyped to see a new winner. 4 time winner FC Vescillo has a fantastic cadre of footballers that are now passing the high point of their careers. Trainer and manager of FC Vescillo are adamant to emphasize that this is not the case. "Nyet, FCF Vescillo is ready for a 5th championship." said trainer Roch Slazak, who has been the trainer for 2 championships of Vescillo: the '52/53 and '48/49 seasons. All 36,000 seats. | TRIAL BEGINS FOR TERRORISTS CAPTURED LAST MONTH Vitalsk - The four terrorists captured last month, Calixto Gulzar, Dani Gulzar, Georgiy Alkaev and Oliver Joosep, have begun facing justice today in Vitalsk. The police force of Cid City declined having the trial be held in Cid City due to security issues. "We have reason to believe that a lynch mob would try to kill them" a police officer said and wished to remain anonymous. The city of Vitalsk, 650km away from Cid City, is prominent for it's spas and hiking trails. The result of having the trial being held here, as led to little or no attention in the local populace. Police presence in Vitalsk has been upped nevertheless, to ensure that all participants of the trial are not endangered and everything goes along smoothly. The expected sentences are death sentences. | UFO SPOTTED Smolersk - An unidentified flying object has been spotted in a forest outside of Smolersk by a hunter. "I was out hunting and saw a large, disc-shaped object fly through the sky! It had fire from behind it and was very fast" the man said to local press before being detained by security officers to ensure that national security has not been comprimised. "The local authorities have begun inspecting this incident and are hopeful to clarify the situation. We are sure that this is a lone incident." said district commissioner Janislav Fazhli at a local press conference. This has been the third UFO sighting in the area in 2 weeks. The last UFO spotted was in 1949 by a woman who claimed to be abducted by aliens who had then conducted experiments on her. She committed suicide earlier this year. |
