I'm going to stick my neck out here and say that the frozen ocean to the south is ridiculously close to what is apparantly the status quo african/arab continent, can we assume for all intents and purposes that that ocean is not frozen?

Well oceans don't usually freeze over out in open space like that... but, the point of the graphic is to show that the water there be freakin' cold. Himyar itself is rather warm though.

Also, keep in mind, IRL South Africa be freaking cold in the winter, and quite warm in the summer.

TBH I consider that a wrongful addition to the map and the "frozen" effect should be removed. If north Himyar is desert, and south Himyar is jungle, then the sea below it should be, too.
