Looks even better this way. Coro if you get the chance, could you move the city "Nova Bryansk" to about a 1/2 inch southwest of the "K" in "Kryobaijan"? It was left where it was after my space was changed.

Eeeeeh, not really impressed with the map now. The 3D effect you were trying to achieve with the first version is now gone, and looking at the map, I almost feel like I'm drunk and/or high, or my eyes need checking. The small islands are now almost impossible to see clearly.

Still, this is overall a good map.

Not really a fan of alliance-basedness. Might pressure people into joining alliances just to look better on the map, a wrong idea, imho.

I disagree with Xen on the alliance-basing however. I'd rather encourage people into different alliances, get more of a Cold War situation brewing rather than having everyone and their grandmother be unaligned.

i think the alliance coloring is great, but the borders might need to be tweaked a bit

That said are we looking for the return of the thicker borders like seen in v1.0? Or should I continue to experiment with them?

I guess continue to experiment. Didn't like the borders all that much in 1.0, and don't like them in 1.1. The 3D effect is just not working on me.

Although I hate to bring that godawful place up, I'd rather have a map like in Quaimar. Had a very DEFCON, Cold War feel to it. Crisp, modern, cool. Keep going with alliance-base though. I feel it's more appropriate.

Could you change Akhaltsikhe to Jurzan, Senaki to Sharjah and make it the capital?

Also, could you make the necessary border change with me and Carentania?

Keep the alliance as colours in. Alliance promote power plays and plots, makes the game way more interactive and therefore more interesting. Can't say I'm a big fan of the current color scheme or the borders you used in this edition...

Hi There.

If it sits alright with the power-that-be, I would like to apply for a spot on the map. I realize I have only been active again for a short while and if more RP is needed thats fine as well. This location however is perfectly suited to my RP wishes and I believe Kelas will make a welcome addition to the neighbourhood.

Spot: #202
Name: Kelas
Capital: Celes
Additional Cities: Astrlid, New Taranium

Locations of all cities can be found in the following post:

Thanks

Do you do a hi-res version of the map? Just that there are some areas on my borders (e.g. maritime borders, fingers of land around the Lorraine (det.) etc) that I cannot see very well and more more smudgey.

Just wondering.

I do not because of the fact that I try to keep it under 1.0 MB in size. Photobucket doesn't like it when I go above 1.2 MB and re-sizes shit when I do that. Additionally I put it in JPG format which isn't all that great for images that display text, but also keeps the file size small. If you want more precise borders use the blank map.

Although I might note that the current map border style also uses rather... wide and loopy borders.
