We are sending you this communique, because we believe your two nations believe in the ideals of free trade, just we in the Mezhist Union do. As you know, we have recently announced that we have leased the Danish territory of the Faroes and are fully intent on developing it into a Free Economic Zone that will serve to better connect the East and West through free trade. It is in the spirit of maintaining this freedom of free trade that we wish to bring your attention to the fact that, as you both well remember, the Sylvanian Republic has had serious issues in dealing with the previous administrators of this territory, the Danish Imperium.

We have reason to believe, that given this past history of aggression towards the Faroes, that Sylvania will in light of our declaration, no doubt attempt to force their control over the island group, as we have observed their tendency to do so in other similar past instances. For such a thing to happen would be a tragic blow to the spirit of free trade, and further encourage Sylvania to continue pursuing its own particularly insidious brand of Imperialism.

As such, we humbly request the High Kingdom of Warre and Tyrculir and the Aurarine Republic to lend us any assistance in ensuring that the Faroe Free Economic Zone becomes a reality, and that, indeed, it remains Free.

Classified Communique to the Mezhist Union & to the Aurarine Republic

The importance of the matter herein cannot be understated to the AnLyric Peoples, particularly the people of Warre & Tyrculir. Our nation remembers the Faroes as the oldest of its friends, one of the first settlements by the men of the Ancien Occident into the continent which the Sylvanians call Occidentia, the Frescanophone calls Zulia-Santander, and we AnLyric call Boreas; and refuses to fail them any longer. While the Danish held rightful title to the lands and their ancestors had settled the Faroes in the first place, creating the fledgling Danish Imperium even as the Danish continued to fight for their current borders within Germania; we will respect any lease you had to the Faroes under certain clauses. The first and foremost being a joint-staffed military force to protect the Faroes, allowing volunteers from all of Occidentia-Boreas (sans Sylvania) to assist in protecting the region, and likewise representation for the Faroeai in any government which would rule them, be it a jointly governed international playground, the Danish Imperium, or the Mezhist Union. We have seen time and time again that Sylvanian aggression in these days knows few bounds, and we cannot allow them in due conscience to hurt another people or to expand their power base, which they have obvious intents to do.

The obviousness of these intents is based explained in one simple statement: They are already coming your way. From what our scouts and strategists suggest, given the majority passed through our waters or just off the coast of our waters, perhaps the largest fleet of ships that Occidentia-Boreas has ever had- and all the while without even giving the Faroes a chance to speak up for themselves, or their neighbors a say in the matter. No, the Sylvanian Superman simply continues its attitude of superiority and right to govern others without their consent, and without coordinated efforts from the international community, I cannot say I see this changing. In Danmark or elsewhere, we could see the same travesty which we see in Bantyr and in Monkecia, in the Seoras and elsewhere- a foreign power dictating to a people their involvement in a greater movement, and dictating to a people their path.

Communique to the Mezhist Union and Warre & Tryculir
To all whom it may concern,

The issue of the Faroes Islands has long sparked controversy along the entire continent of Zulia-Santander. It is particularly concerning to the Republic that the Danish Kingdom would be so willing to let go of a territory they’ve threatened war over in the past. In spite of this, the Republic does recognize the lease to be legal and binding.

To that end, the ideals of free trade will better serve to bind the world together as we lay interdependent with the purposes of mutual benefit. The Aurarine Government agrees that the Faroes should be made a free trade zone, and the decision of the Mezhist to move along this path is seen positively in Auraria. To that end, the Aurarine Government will support the Mezhist Union.

The Republic echoes the concerns of Warre & Tyrculir in that the people of the Faroes Islands should have the right to have some degree of representation in their government. It is also agreed that the Faroes should be defended by all members of the Occident continent, with the exception of Sylvania. Our Republic will not stand for increasing the Sylvanian hegemony over this continent.

The Republic also confirms that six vessels have left the Sylvanian base in Primer and we are more than confident that coupled with the lease and report from Warre & Tyrculir, that the Sylvanians are amassing a large fleet to counter Mezhist activity.

The situation as it develops is most alarming and concerning, yet we remain calm and composed in the manner in which we seek to address the challenge presented to us by these developments. The harsh truth is that Sylvanian vessels, have begun their journey towards The Faroes. Whatever the details of their plan may be, their intent is entirely hostile and we remain alert of the options that can develop, given the unpredictability and imperialistic ambitions of the Sylvanian regime. We are most enlivened by the show of support being shown by the High Kingdom of Warre & Tyrculir and the Republic of Auraria.

With the tides of war fast approaching, the following actions would be required to see through the establishment of the FEZ:
1) The creation of a joint-military force and allowing volunteers from across the Occident to assist in the defence of the islands.
2) The opening of Aurarian and Warreic territory to Mezhist military vessels and equipment for the duration of hostilities.

On the fate of the Faroes, we propose the following:

1. The island shall be granted self-ruling status, while becoming a protectorate of the Mezhist Union, where the islanders shall decide the form of government through referendum following the end of any possible hostilities. As an MU protectorate, and as a Free Economic Zone, the Faroes state would be discouraged from having policies which disrupt its status as a regional hub for economic activity.

2. The Mezhist Government believes that as a neutral arbiter, over the next 50 years, we can guide the fledgling Faroes into fully involved members of the Occident. We understand our responsibility and seek a positive place for the islands and its people in their Boreatic brotherhood.

We seek an urgent response to this message.

Classified Communique to the Mezhist Union & to the Aurarine Republic

It should be stated clearly here that the High Kingdom of Warre does not agree with the terms put forward by the Mezhist Union and its government. Our concern is not that of Mezhist Victory over Sylvania, so much as it is halting the hegemony of Occidentia by the Slyvanian-Cussian regimes. These governments are disaffected from the rest of the region and speak only for their national and ethnic ideals in the end- not understanding the attitudes of other nations or considering even for a moment how the people of the Faroes or other states which embrace Monarchy might feel on the matter. We cannot in good conscience think that levying one hegemony of a government to battle another hegemony will do anything but disrupt those caught in the middle, amplifying any troubles that are caused from the situation.

No, the goal of the AnLyric people in this situation cannot be understated. We wish for the people of the Faroes, and our fellow Occidentians-Boreasic throughout the entire continent; with its many names, to have a chance of peace and prosperity without the force of an outside nation controlling its affairs, especially with the matter of one where it might not gain proper representation in a federal level given the situation.

No, we can only agree that the Faroes should be given independence in full from either the Danmarker Regime or any other regime, and that an establishment of military forces based on the island should be led by the island's inhabitants themselves, and secondarily by the Occidentian nations within its sphere of influence- those who would be helped by a strong Faroes and hurt by a weak Faroes.

So we can agree that the Mezhist overwatch over the Faroes may help them from becoming a puppet of Sylvania, but cannot agree that we think it would be an ideal situation. The Faroes, either in independence or joining with a nation on the Central-and-eastern portions of Occidentia-Boreas, would be better kept from becoming a Sylvanian-Cussian hegemony puppet. In that way, we can prevent the possibility of war and only in that way.

As far as basing in AnLyric Waters, only ships of civilian make will be allowed to make port in Warre & Tyrculir's waters. While we will continue the responsibilities of all civilized nations when it comes to the sea which is adjacent to our own nautical borders- that is to save any sailors, be they civilian, merchant-marine, or fully military, who are in need, we cannot promise a return of any military vessels saved in this matter without prior discussion between the AnLyric government and any governments where this must happen. We must also be firm in our statement that any attempt to take any battle to Sylvania in waters adjacent to our's will be met with a full military response from our own military, to be clear, those waters are no-battle zones for any group, because such actions can only cause more strife for the Occidential-Boreasic people.

To all whom it may concern,

The Aurarine Government cannot understate its commitment to peace in the continent of Zulia-Santander. While we realize and acknowledge that Sylvania is the aggressor state, war in Zulia-Santander will only serve to harm the continent as a whole and generate more hostility and violence for future generations. This being said, the Aurarine Government cannot agree to the first terms laid out by the Mezhist Union. Given the present situation in Auraria, allowing Mezhist war ships to dock in Auraria during a time of war with a nation whom already has a naval base in Auraria would prove to initiate even greater discontent than what the nation is currently witnessing. Though the Aurarine Government cannot stop our citizens from volunteering, the Aurarine Government will not advocate volunteers to fight the war in the North.

As for the administration of the Faroes, the Aurarine Government agrees with the Mezhist Union. An independent Faroes would only fall under the control of Sylvania or any other nation that manages to get their hands on it. A Mezhist control over the Faroes is by no means the ideal solution, but it is a practical one. So long as the Mezhists uphold the value of free will and governance in the Faroes while allowing for a true, genuine economic zone, the Aurarine Government will support the Mezhists’ control over the islands.

In any case, Auraria urges that some diplomatic agreement is made so that there will be no bloodshed on the continent.
