The Commonwealth encourages the concerned Government in Toledo to doubt the motives of Cantigny personally, and not through the voiceboxes of news agencies. It is most unfortunate when Cantigny must learn through tabloids and news sources that its colleagues on the World Stage harbor grudges, as has been sheepishly revealed in many placed around the world.

Specific grievances with the treatment of Oceanic Peoples have been aired as they pertain to their proximity to Cantigny, and their presence in Oceania. Cantigny can expect an intimate understanding with the Peoples of Engellexic, Nordic, and Vistrasian backgrounds because those Governments have consistently advocated dialogue between Nations of Oceania. At this time Cantigny cannot communicate with its Oceanic Brothers and Sisters in Tangaloa on an official level, and oft cannot reach Anglyn itself without throwing more fuel in to the fire. When Oceania has encountered the True Peace, Patriotic People and their Nationally elected Democratic officials will finally hold in concert a regional dialogue for the territories of this divided region.

> Toledo Reacts To EDF Buildup
It has not gone unnoticed by the government in Toledo of the very obvious military buildup being made by the European Defence Federation around the Arch-reactionary country of Solaren. Having tweeked the collective noses of the EDF one too many times, government and civilians alike know that Urban IV's days may soon be numbered. Though there would not be a tear shed in Coronado over the demise of Urban and the destruction of the Solaren theocracy, there is a great concern in Toledo on whether the EDF's plans are merely regime change or is it imperial expansion that is on their minds, and considering the reaction of Toledo and its allies, it is the latter that is the believed to be the most likely scenario.

The most obvious indications that Toledo may see it as imperialistic is the transfer of combat aircraft to the eastern districts as well as observence that fewer and fewer ships are seen in Coronadan naval bases. While coastal patrols have been stepped up and an expected deployment of Coronado's large submarine force, the most notable action is the navy's only aircraft carrier, the Viente de Julio and her escort ships putting to sea is the greatest indication that Toledo is taking all this very seriously.

Gunboats of the Armada Coronado engaged 4 Solari gunboats that entered Coronadan waters in the Liberation Bay. Though there were no Coronadan losses were, one Solari vessel was reported hit as it limped back into Solari waters. They were not pursued.

THE REPUBLIC DECLARES WAR ON SOLAREN​

From the President of the Republic in accord with the Council of Ministers and the National Assemby:

To insure the stability of Greater Gallia and to contribute to world peace, the Socialist Republic of Coronado hereby declares War on the Theocratic Kingdom of Solaren. The men and officers of the Army, Navy and Air Force of Coronado shall do their utmost in prosecuting the aims of the Republic with our public servants of various departments shall perform faithfully and diligently their respective duties; the entire nation with a united will shall mobilize their total strength so that nothing will prevent of the attainment of our aims and to bring freedom to the people of Solaren and rid the world of the tyranny of the Urban regime.​

That was the message transmitted to the Solaren and other Gallian governments prior to the commencement of air and naval strikes against military targets within the Kingdom of Solaren. Led by strike aircraft and attack helicopters, Western Solaren air defences, naval assets and strategic infrastructure were attacked throughout the remaining of the night with strikes continuing into the daylight hours. Though no official report has been released, with the Solaren air forces fully engaged against EDF forces, there is a likelihood that the strikes had and will continue to have a high probability of success.

President Juarez did make a public concerning the declaration, "the cabinet and I had thought long and hard before committing to this course of action, but it came down to the security of Coronado that was the primary factor in our decision." "The Theocratic Kingdom of Solaren has always been a threat to the Socialist Republic, but with the rise of the regime of Urban IV, the security of the country became tantamount, and only with the removal of that regime and the freeing of those under its tyrannical rule could the safety and security for the people of Coronado be insured."

Several hours prior to the declaration, miliary bases throughout Coronado went on full alert with the Ministry of Defence ordering the activation of reserves and their immediate reporting for duty, though the order was later said to have been given due to the pending strikes, the delay until just prior to those strikes was likely to prevent showing the Toledo's intentions as well as to guard against attacks from other quarters.

While the government of Sørlandeten finds itself able to criticise the actions of the Socialist Republic for its efforts to free the people of Solaren from the tyranny of the Urban regime, such criticism has a hypocritical tint to it when, while the government of Coronado has every intention of keeping the war confined to Solaren, such criticism out of Østfjord seems to be absent for their fellow monarchy, Engellex, that has, to our reckoning in Toledo, actually drastically expanded the war beyond the borders of Solaren and has threatened to turn what was a regional conflict to one that has global ramifications, one that will stretch from the Great Sea to the Long Sea to the Implarian.

AUVERGNE ATTACKED BY PLATTE AIR FORCES​

To those Coronadans that live in the Northern District, especially those near air bases, the reason why your evening was disturbed by the sound of jet engines is because the Platte Confederation launched an air attack on Auvergne. Though we all know that Auvergne is an enclave of Lorraine and it was not the attack on the enclave that sparked the heavy response by air force interceptors, it was instead the because the detection of radar jamming by Coronadan Air Defence prior to that attack, that instigated the scrambling of aircraft and anti-aircaft batteries seaching skies.

Though dozens of planes are either in the air or ready to take at all times since, and even before, the war with Solaren began, this was the first time that such a larges number of aircraft took to the air in response to a possible attack. A spokesman for the Fuerzas Aéreas de la República, "Though the attack was directed at Lorrainian defences in Auvergne, as soon as our early warning had detected the tell-tale signs of jamming, our air defences, already on full alert due to the war, responded as fighters on ready alert on the ground were ordered to launch and join those already in the air with anti-aircraft batteries activated and ready to defend the Republic". "This kind of thing was not unexpected, the Platte Confederation has always supported Solaren and the Torrance regime and it was just a matter of time before it would show their colors strike in support of the tyranny of Urban IV. Now that they have shown that they are perfectly willing to attack those who have threatened to remove the tyranny they so much support and love, the Republic will not only be ready for them, they will have a very warm welcome if they try what they tried last night."
