Fans are free to express themselves during intermission and breaks in play. If you believe that this is a violation of basic human rights, your nation must allow anything in the workplace, government meetings, or in trials. We will be sure to let people know that they may now play the trumpet in the court room so we do not violate their human rights.

"The CFSA objects to the Marquen government's equation of football matches with court processions and government meetings, noting the nature of football as a sport as an event of entertainment and the inherent involvement of a club's supporting base in such events. Marquette must have a rather dry football culture if their own king forces everyone to sit straight in the terrace with the only expressions made being polite claps in the event of a goal scored."
- Commonwealth Football Supporters Association President Richard Hayward in his blog at the Cornavian sports portal Athlete24.CC

If a goal has been scored in soccer, play has temporarily ended, thus allowing for the use of artificial noisemakers. The Kings decision was carefully researched.

As it seems to us that the allowing of the 'horns' or not would be at the discretion of event organizers and not that of the government. As long as the event is not on public property, banning of such instruments would not be a violation of a person's rights.

Great War Museum Opens in Fond du Loc

Fond du Loc

With the sun shining and veterans from almost every country present; and a speech from the Prime Minister, the Great War Museum of Marquette was declared open.

The J203 Million facility is mostly dedicated to the Western Theater but a smaller wing provides a significant insight into the Eastern Theater.

Permanent exhibits include 'The Path to War','Children in the War', 'Invasion', 'The War At Sea', 'War Medicine' 'Homefront', 'Victory' and several others. A smaller wing is dedicated to specifically Marquette in the war. Marquette lost 441,000 in the war, including civilian casualties. The museum will be fully open Saturday. Entry fee is J3 for adults, J1 for children and students, and free for military servicemen and women. Entry will also be free for veterans. The museum plans to attempt to collect video testimonies from all living veterans.

Funding was provided by private foundations, donations, and Royal support.

We are happy to see another Great War museum open its doors to people. As you might know, this institution established a Great War museum in 1970 in Paris and we hope that some our previous exhibitions can be displayed in the Marquen counterpart.

As our old Museum has been closed since 1997, we welcome these exhibits to visit Marquette. It is unfortunate that our old museum, open since 1974, suffered architectural failures. The new and massive facility, being built since 2003, welcomes exhibits.

Fond du Loc

The King announced his intentions to visit Paris on July 24th before beginning a vacation. According to Royal Office press releases, the King has expressed interest in visiting with Belmontien leaders and visiting the Paris Opera, which the King referred to as 'among the most prestigious in the world'. According to the 2009 edition of the Bordeaux Opera Guide, Paris' Opera House is the second most visited in the World for non-musical reasons (tourism).

The King and Royal Family will then spend 5 days on the Marquen colony of Sainte Pierre. The King's press release referred to the trip as 'a working vacation'. Preliminary reports place the King as visiting with the Governor, inspecting military facilities, and meeting with local inhabitants.

St. Cyr Military Academy Graduates 50 Makai Officers

Morneau

As the summer heat moved in, Lt. General Edmund Aucoin took the stage. The General stood facing 3,400 cadets, all in different levels of training. In front there were 50 men, standing in different uniform.

St. Cyr last night graduated 50 Makai Militia soldiers from an abbreviated program. Of them were 40 Officers and 10 Non-Commissioned Officers.

"We are pleased to see that the Republic of the Makai Islands have achieved such a momentous time of peace. However, it remains vital for nations around the world to maintain some measure of defense. Time and again history proves that those prepared against foreign invaders. It was an honor to host this fine contingent at St. Cyr. Good luck and good hunting" said General Aucoin.

In attendance was the commander of Imperial Forces, Field Marshal Lefevre, who spoke for a brief time after the St. Cyr Commandment, Aucoin.

"The Republic and Marquette will continue to work together to help the Republic of the Makai Islands form a small, cohesive, defence force. These men will lead a new chapter of history for the Makai Republic." said Field Marshal Lefevre.

The 50 men completed an abbreviated academy, and were taught basic and advanced tactics and combat skills. The 50 men received honorary commissions in the Imperial Defence Forces equivalent to their actual ranks. Sergeants received honorary Sergeant-Major titles.

Military Experts: Freiheit In Peril Against Agressive Onslaught

Fond du Loc

According to experts that appeared on Le Monde's Education Network, Freiheit is destined to 'buckle under the pressure of opposing forces' says former IDF commander Field Marshal Claude Allouez (Retired).

"Without handling this correctly, the imperialistic and aggressive nations can conventionally defeat Freiheit in 3-12 months. However, if the aggressive powers are not careful, Freiheit, with a few million under arms, may be able to hold off the onslaught" says St. Cyr Royal Army Academy Commandant Lt. General Edmund Aucoin.

"Much is hinged on Freiheit's naval capabilities. With such a sizable naval contingent, Freiheit must succeed in ruling the waves. We do know that everyone in Freiheit is required to serve in the military which means that Freiheit's military is fairly decently trained. However, calling up reserves will take much time. This again points to Freiheit being forced to use its navy as a 'buffer'" continued Aucoin.

While the conflict is just beginning, Marquens and the world continue to watch the war with continued fascination. "The aggressive attack on Freiheit will most likely be studied in military academies around the world for some time, no matter what the outcome" said Aucoin.

The government has reserved itself from offering a direct position on the war but retired IDF commander Field Marshal Claude Allouez called it an "Imperialistic attack against Freiheit, in which the aggressors are playing bully in the school yard."

Sting Nets Thousands of Joliets In Belmontien 'Kiddie Porn'

Chagny

A sting by municipal police has seized a collection of pornography worth roughly J10,400, according to Chagny Police. 2 Marquens were arrested and charged with Smuggling, Possession of Illegal Illicit Literature, and Distribution of Child Pornography.

Belmont's laws allow for boys and girls as young as 15 to be in pornographic material, but experts say that the age of consent in Belmont is 'loosely enforced'. Belmont retains the lowest known legal age for pornography acting in the world. Today, many of Belmont's porn sites remain blocked in Marquette.

"We are attempting to ascertain how these men got so much porn across the border. These are sick people" said a Chagny Police spokeswoman.

Marquette Deploys Assistance Force

The Imperial Defence Forces Press Office announced today that an assistance force has been sent to Aquitania. According to the statement, the assistance force is a non-combat force to provide 'superior front-line medical support and rear security'. The statement confirmed the 5th Fleet was deployed along with 4500 marines and several field hospital units.

The IDF Press Office also announced that Marquette's only hospital ship, HMS Gardien Angèle, has been dispatched from Bordeaux and will assist any wounded, on either side.

Ludwig already a Best Picture favorite

Moshe Goldman, Le Monde Critic
Sault Ste. Marie

Despite only being released 2 weeks ago, critics rave that Ludwig, a film on Beethoven, is a masterpiece.

Ludwig is a massive effort. The film took over 18 months to complete with a budget of over J200 million. Starring Maurice Klemmens, Ludwig focuses on Beethoven's mid-life. The film covers many broad topics, including Beethoven's love life, brief correspondence relationship with Emperor Napoléon, and of course his depression.

When viewing Ludwig is more about the man than the music. The film is 2 hours and 45 minutes long but never feels over 2. The film opens with Beethoven's training under Joseph Haydyn. The film is primarily divided into 4 parts which, if studied, correspond to 4 distinct musical pieces including the 5th, 'Moonlight' Sonata,6th, and 9th. Despite this, the music does not necessarily correspond in terms of the actual soundtrack. The score is beautifully arranged and contains only Schubert and Beethoven.

Ludwig changes from drama to romance to occasionally dark comedy. It was shot mostly on location and with 85% natural lighting, a feat rarely accomplished. The film is in German and has been made with English, Russian, Oikawan, and of course French subtitles.

Ludwig opens slowly and evolves, taking on a snowball effect. Everything culminates to after seeing the film understanding that the music was Beethoven as Beethoven was music.

Royal Government Eyes Intervention In Ratomkira Trouble

Fond du Loc

As the situation in Ratomkira worsens, Marquette is urging all sides to return to the table. Ratomkira, a former Marquen colony, has been fractured by a recent overthrow of the Monarchy and provinces attempting to break away under massively radical communist ideals. The northern regions declared themselves independent 2 days ago, and were recognized immediately by Gorno-Altai. While the King has remained silent, statements issued by the Office of the Chancellor called for action.

'It is imperative that all parties come to the table for the sake of Ratomkira's people and future. No matter the obstacle, the ethics and strengths of Ratomkirans will prevail to right the fractures of their land. We are confident, that the other nations that have pledged support will aid us in a final attempt to seek reconciliation'

While word is unofficial, sources say that Marquette is leaving military action off the table. Furthermore, sources say that Marquette is considering attempting to bring other regional nations of the CoN to the table in hopes of resolving the crisis.

We highly appreciate the continuing efforts of our long time allies and friends in Marquette. It is truly good to know that the esteemed Marquen government cares.

The People's Republic of Vangala will not welcome further intervention into the affairs of Ratomkira and South Toyou by Marquette, whose actions are solely motivated by a dangerous nostalgia for its imperialist past.

His Majesty's Government

Obviously Vangala does not care to see a peaceful resolution to the matter. We are merely suggesting all parties will return to peace talks. Apparently, Vangala cares not for peace. It is us that will not welcome you to meddle in the affairs of Ratomkira, a sovereign state.

Marquette Eyes Economic Hurdles

Fond du Loc

With tensions around the world rising, the Royal government is keeping a close eye on economic matters. Marquette has continued to keep a close eye on economic matters, particularly during this period of recovery. Economic Minister Richard Bobit has made it clear that Marquette's ally and major trading partner, Belmont, is an area of major concern.

With Belmont facing an Oil Embargo and recently closing the border with Marquette, the government has decided to shift policies. According to an Economic Ministry Release, significant funding will be used to expand trade routes through Lorraine and to increase shipping capabilities. "It is not a dislike or distrust of our neighbors, but it has become a gamble to send rail and road freight directly north". Economists continue to assess the damage done by the recent border closing. Estimates range from J80 million to several hundred million in Joliets.

The government has remained silent on specific matters regarding the embargo on Belmont. Many point to an agreement signed several months ago in which Talemantros and Marquette agreed on lowered oil prices, economic agreements and a limited defense agreement. The economic minister pointed out that both Talemantros and Belmont will always remain friends and allies.
