'War Games Not In Kingdom's Best Interest' say Royal Petitioners

"Mass war games, such as the one that has taken place this week, are not in the Kingdom's best interest. They send the wrong message on an international scale. These actions on such a level can be taken in the wrong way" said Jean Belnoit of the Liberal Federation Party. Union Coalition members appeared divided while Pierre Lignee of the Orange Party was in direct opposition. "A nation must be secure. With a military system like ours, exercises like ours are deeply important..".

The exercises take place two times every three years and last around 4 days. While direct numbers are classified, around 500,000 men from the Imperial Defence Forces are suspected to take part. "The vast majority of these are reservists, who are our military base." said Lignee.

Outgoing Chancellor Mitterand agreed with Lignee. "With a military built primarily of reservists, it is our responsibility to ensure our military can perform to the standards required of it."​

For security reasons we cannot comment deeply on mobilization time. However, one may look at history and your own intelligence sources and see it is possible in shorter amounts of time. Furthermore, the games only actually begin upon mobilization of said soldiers.

Prince Reynaud Arrested On Murder Charges​

The King's cousin, Prince Reynaud (23), was arrested at 4:05am at his villa outside Sault Sainte Marie after allegedly throwing a man off a balcony at the night club Escaliers during an altercation. The man, Andre Farallini (25), attended Western Marquette University and was a citizen of Talemantros.

While the King has yet to comment, the Ministry of Public Safety has said it will issue a statement tomorrow. Prince Reynaud was arrested twice in 2008 for Driving While Intoxicated.

The State Ministry informed Farallini's family this morning. Farllini was preparing to graduate with a degree in Aviation Management.

Prince Reynaud Has Confessed​

"Prince Reynaud confessed to police around 8am today after meeting with his legal representation and other Royal Family members. He will remain here for trial and will face the regular legal system." said Vice Minister Marrinette of the the Ministry of Public Safety.

The Prince was arrested at 4:05am at his villa outside Sault Sainte Marie after throwing a man off a balcony at the night club Escaliers during an altercation according to police.

The man killed was a citizen of Talemantros.

Sentencing for murder in Marquette is far different from elsewhere. The 1961 Heinous Crimes Act defines maximum punishment for murder. The death penalty would be applicable in this case as it involves the murder of as foreign citizen not holding dual citizenship. Minimum punishment under the act is 55 years in prison with no chance of parole for 47 years.

What began as a simple and forgotten book by Marquen author Gaston Leroux, Le Fantôme de l'Opéra has become one of the most lucrative entertainment enterprises of all time. The book itself was out of print several times after it's release but gained notoriety after the 1924 silent film.

In 1987, Pierre Demarque created the musical we know today. Since it's inception, the show has been presented in 12 languages and taken in J3.8 Billion. Books, a musical film in 2006, and even a cartoon film have been made.


Tonight will mark the 15,000th performance of the show worldwide. The Queen Charlotte Theater recently had it's 8000th performance. The 15000th show will be presented in the world famous Fond du Loc Opera House where the story was initially set.

Trans-Europe Tunnel Opens

After 9 years, the still unnamed tunnel opened for full operation today. An official naming ceremony will take place Thursday. "The working name will be the Trans-Europe Tunnel" says director Francois Buscemi. Opening was postponed when Marquen construction fell behind by 6 months.

The tunnel runs some 36.2 miles (58.26 km) with 3 tracks. 2 tracks are for freight and passenger use while the third is an emergency line. The newly formed Tunnel Authority will be a cooperative between Frescania and Marquette. The authority will provide train crews, maintenance, fire brigades, and even police services aboard trains.

The project began in March of 2000 and overran many projected costs. Total costs are at J12.72 Billion.

Prince Reynaud Sentenced

On December 2nd, 2009 Prince Reynaud confessed to having a hand in the death of a foreign citizen in a nightclub in Sault Ste. Marie. Just 13 days later, a full verdict was reached.

According to a Defence Ministry statement:

"Reynaud Bonaparte lost all title except for Knight of the Empire at midnight. He was sentenced in a Military Tribunal as the former prince was a member of the military and thus was remanded to court martial. The sentence will not be officially released for a time as to allow certain actions to be taken.

Information is being withheld for legal and humanitarian reasons. One of the reasons is to allow the victim's family to be informed before the media. A press conference will be held soon to announce any further information."

Knight of the Empire is a title that cannot be taken away until death under any circumstance. A stipend is attached to the title in the amount of J16,500. According to sources, this amount will revert to Reynaud's family.
