*
The Bogan National Assembly has been seated by President Radegast, despite the recent attempt on His life. Although no clear suspect group has come forward, most suspect the far-left is responsible for the bombing on the 25th of June.

* Following an Executive Order from the presidential palace, public automobiles are banned within the borders of the State, and special permits must be obtained from local Prefect Offices in order to obtain a license to own one. Most citizens hailed the order as a step in the right direction to "improve the health, and quality of life for all citizens and the environment..." as one bystander was quoted today.

* Improving economy shows signs of renewed growth amid 1st Five-Year Plan. The Bureau of Agriculture and Industry reported record quarters of growth and increasing demand for consumer goods, both on target for the President's new economic policies and goals.

Re: Assassination Attempt

We in the Mezhist Union applaud President Radegast's decision to pull through with seating the National Assembly despite the cowardly attempt on his life. It would not surprise us if this is indeed an action of the far left, as this smells much like something from their usual cadre of tactics. The Halls of Giecz respect the audacity of a leader who continues to uphold his duties at the risk of his own personal safety. We shall continue to monitor your state's progress with great interest.

Cordially Yours,
Kondrat Olbroz,

Fragarach Motors

While we support any attempts by the governments of the free world to make their locales more healthy and more prosperous for their people, we at the Fragarach Motors Company find that you hurt your people's ability to easily move themselves to and fro, with this recent presidential decree. Further, if the Boganouise definition of 'Automobile' transfers beyond trucks and cars, and also to that of auto-motorcycles, you limit a chief, clean, and utilitarian form of public transportation for your people.

If the attempt is simply to make sure all operators of motor-vehicles of any sort are skilled and follow all required Boganouise road laws, rather than allowing untrained drivers to crash into property and people; we applaud the effort, but urge the government of Bogan to make the process as cheap and streamlined as possible for people; and if congestion is the worry, suggest multi-person ownership of automobiles be looked into.

Thank you for your time,

Robert Lomréson

The Jurchen Republic takes note of a domestic current in Bogan that is opposed to the authoritarian, anti-democratic and delegationist tactics and methods employed by the establishment surrounding the potentate Radegast. What is cowardly is the oppression of the democratic assertion of the citizenry, contrary to what the Dano-Mezhist cabal in Swiecziema seeks to imply. This government will continue to utter its support for those elements seeking revolutionary change in Germania.

- Following an industrial accident, 4 metal workers from the southern city of Fulcroix were killed in what is being called a workplace accident. The workers (two men and one woman) were working to develop a new type of high strength tempered steel, when the heat protection employed to protect them and the area they were in, failed structurally. Four people were additionally injured as a resulting spill of the experimental metal from the faulty 'heat zone'. Fulcroix has had it's own share of worker deaths in the last three years, with over a dozen dying to workplace hazards, and dozens more injured. A ministry of labor and employment official declined to comment, stating only that an investigation was still "in progress".

- Enlistments in the Ground Defense Forces have risen over 5% since last year, with just over 1,200 new volunteers joining the force, bringing the total number to 161,000 men and women at arms. Many of these forces comprise the Reserve Defense Forces, an inactive branch of the ground forces and typically not used in daily maneuvers. Equipment in the ground forces is also slightly improving, with new Fusil Automatique Léger, or FAL Rifles. These rifles are replacing older collections of bolt action and semi-automatic rifles that were previously in use years prior. Also in development is portable steel, or steel plated body armor to be worn by specific ground units to protect against shrapnel. Heavy, these garments are designed to be used by the elite shock forces of the defense force.

The Imperial Government is most interested in official dialogue with its counterpart in the State of Bogan to establish better relations and to enhance the scope of interaction between our states.

-
The visiting foreign delegation from Sikandara has caused quite a stir nationally within Bogan. Most citizens view the newcomers with great skepticism and wariness. Although the talks were publically announced, it still came as a surprise to most ordinary folk that the government would even invite a foreign nation to discuss matters of state. The Bogan State's long history of isolationist policies had been rooted firmly in tradition and policy for over a hundred years, and during that time the State has prospered. Experts suggest the growing lack of heavy and medium industrial capacity, and a growing threat of Democratization in the region is the key to understanding this bold move by the Radegast administration. In polls, 41% of the population supported reaching out to foreign nations for assistance economically, while 57% said they were firmly against the notion. Just 2% supported an even wider policy of open dialogue with Europe.

The Grand Duchy has an interest in discussing the potential for Bogan's national integrity, and preserving the independence of both our nations without interrupting the internal politics of one another. As such, we would like to invite Bogan's heads of state to San Salvo, to discuss this personally with the His Royal Majesty Grand Duke Guido III and Prime Minister Gaetano Merlino.

BANEFORT - In a rare and unprecedented event, thousands of citizens in the northern city and capital of Bogan, protestors gathered to decry the government's recent interaction with Sikandaran delegates. Although the demonstration was largely peaceful, the government was taken aback by the large number of protestors, and although the usual response is swift and decisive crackdown, the government erred on the side of caution, as it viewed the protest as a display of patriotism, rather than dissent. Among the group of protestors there was a significant majority of liberal protestors who were agitating against the government. These elements moved to the city after the first day of protests, and were subsequently the cause of the regional police moving in.

Reports estimate that 23 people were inured and at least three were dead as a result of police response to the agitators. The liberals were driven underground, and several were arrested. A statement was passed throughout the area and city, letting the populace know that quote, "this is only the beginning". The government has disavowed any knowledge of the group, and vows to strike back against any civil disobedience and sedition.

Protests continued this week in the Capital city of Banefort. The police have stated openly that within 24 hours, if any protestors remain on the streets, they will be detained and active violence will be used to disperse the crowds of unruly citizens. Demonstrators have stated that their demands have grown from protesting the diplomatic exchanges with Sikandara, to the desire of free and open elections and a more liberal social and economic policy. Experts are both appalled and shocked at the level of civil disobedience, and have likened these events to the very foundation of the State itself, over 120 years ago.

Things have gotten out of hand in Bogan, as the protests are now viewed by the government as an open insurrection. Hundreds of thousands of civilians and citizens are flooding the streets in solidarity against the fascist traditional government. Flags resembling the tricolor symbol of the country are being waved as barricades, fires and riots erupt across the country. Deaths have reached into the hundreds as the government begins to move forces into major cities and urban areas to combat the growing spread of rebellion in Bogan. A new group calling itself the Republican Front has taken charge of the grassroots movement, and has set up a rival government.

At it's head is President Jean Marquis Veraux, and a statement was handed to this organization late this evening.

Citizens,

For far too long, we have struggled under the yoke of unrepresentative fascism. Our values of nationalism and liberty have been sullied by the thralls of capitalism, neutrality and stagnation. Our leaders no longer desire to further our prosperity, but instead are hell bent upon maintaining the status quo. It is a systemic corruption that plagues us. A cancer. It must be cut out! It must be excised so that the advancement of Bogan, and our people can continue. We strive towards a larger goal, and our lives mean nothing anymore. Red. The color of angry men, Blue the courage of the people's spirit. White, the virtues of our noble cause. These are the colors of the new Bogan flag. The people will UNITE!

FORWARDED FROM THE OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR OF FEDERAL INTELLIGENCE
Re: Insurrection

We in the Mezhist Union are willing to provide assistance in quelling this rebellious uprising. As of this declaration by the head of an illegitimate government, the Halls of Giecz can no longer stand idly by and watch the situation in Bogan continue to deteriorate. Due to the nature of the affair, however, that is to say, the insurrection being driven by negative sentiments toward foreign involvement, it will be assistance of a covert nature. We can provide funds, equipment, personnel, supplies, and intelligence, amongst other resources, which can be utilised by the Bogan Government to defeat this rebellion and maintain order within its borders.

We sincerely hope that you consider this an offer of friendship, a helping hand to assist in these troubling times.

The government of Bogan at this time must decline any foreign intervention. We have a large section of our society that is supportive of our way of life, our government, because we strive to maintain our neutrality. If we were to accept any foreign aid, even if it were for the cause of stability and stamping out this liberal rebellion, it would drive them into the camp of the enemy. We appreciate the sentiments expressed here, but we must politely decline.

Sincerely,

Fulcroix Falls

The southern port city of Fulcroix has fallen to rebel forces in a pitched midnight battle last night. Estimates from Bogan based Human Rights Watchdog, estimate that well over 135 people were killed and hundreds more were injured as shelling from a nearby army outpost rocked the city for hours. Sympathizers within the city armed themselves with weapons from both the local gendarmerie garrisons and fought a subsequent battle that saw the influx of thousands of fighters from surrounding suburbs. Although the exact total of deaths on both sides has not been publicly released, it is estimated that the government saw heavy losses as it's troops retreated to Devro, a neighboring village roughly 30 miles east of Fulcroix.

Two Government Corvettes Stolen

The Bogan government has revealed this evening that a pair of corvettes were captured during the collapse of Fulcroix, and have now fallen into the hands of republican forces there. Although the two ships were scheduled to be scrapped, they are still largely operational and maintain a full compliment of shells and ammunition to conduct coastal operations. The government has released their designations as the Belefost and the Borea.

The Grand Duchy will not tolerate naval ships driven by rogue elements near our borders. The Royal Navy is being alerted, and will mobilize appropriately to defend the Grand Duchy against any possible threats. If the Belefost and Borea near our waterways, they will be fired upon.
