I'm curious to know if Kyiv is already mass-producing an AK47-esque rifle or any other nations are at this point.
I am mass producing Fedorov's.

It is little known by many, but it is a Ruger Mini, a kind o remake of the Garand has an assault Rifle in the late 60ties. Basically they have not brought nothing new to the firearms world, it is a carbine version of the M14! Assuming that has a portusgalian name, it can be considered the newest add to the Portusgalian arsenal? Like a kind of holy grail weapon from 1954? I like the design, its retro
I am not against this if you really want it. Firearms have not changed all that much over the past few decades. And they were already playing around with some very exotic firearms technology (even by today's standards) in the 1950's.

BUT I would prefer if you would consider one of the many, Even if there is no ahistorical technology involved, using a weapon from the 60's still goes against the spirit of the setting.

Edit: Come to think of it, the 5.56mm revolution was still in the misty future in the 1950's. So I would not be OK with using 5.56x45mm.

Kyiv I adopted oficially the T20 has my future standard semi-auto rifle, altough it is chambered in 7,92 x 57 Mauser round, since it is regular ammo cal in Portusgalian army, it would be an absurde to use the .30 06 US cal, used in the Garand. It is only to be realistic.

Now I want to expose you one case. Since Sylvania autorised me to make "ilegal" copies of the Garand and M1 Carbine, and the T20 in game is based on a Sylvanian Garand, now I will go to the M1 Carbine.

I saw that some countries already use, or are staring to use, assault rifles. What is an assault rifle!? Simple, a carbine with low power rifle cartrige! For exemple the Ak 47s 7,62 x 39 round! Or the nazi Stg44 with the 7,92 x 33 Kurz round!
IRL military engineers have conscience that a full power rifle cartrige produced a lot of recoil, the weapon was prone then to over heat the barrel, and accuracy was low at full auto mode.
I plan in the game something new, trust me. It was commun in the early 20 century, and even in late 19 century for some countries to use a small cal round, for example Japan, had a 6,5 mm used in the bolt action Arisaka rifle. Many changed this in the 20 century because the round had low power, to heavier ones, like the powerfull 7,92 Mauser round.
For the M1 Carbine, I'm planning to use a M1 Carbine, with full auto option, and a magazine of 20 to 30 rounds. This rounds will be rifle rounds!!!! Since the true M1 Carbine used long pistol rounds, with a flat end projectile. My cal would be the 6,5 x 33 mm, rifle cartrige, so the Carbine may be a true fully function assault rifle... An Ak 47, but with a rifle like aspect!

What is your opinion on this? Is it unrealistic?

The advantages of what we now call intermediate cartridges were well known at the time (see: EM-2) so I see no problem with a 6.5x33mm automatic rifle.

Thanks pall for the advise! :D I read in a book of mine, "The twenty Century Small Arms" a point about the Arisaka cartrige of 6,5, and the reason why the japanese used it, because it was a little underpower in comparison to the european calibers and was more easy to handled by a small stature man. Since the portusgalian are in the forum people of small stature, I think it is the best option for the best results

Kyiv what is your opinion over the M5 Stuart thank, with your general knowlege of the tanks arround here? Is it too outdated, already in use by somebody?
Depends on how you plan to use it.

It was not suitable for tank combat. But if you do not expect enemy tanks to be a major concern, it is still viable in this period.

Kyiv I know that they were deployed by portuguese troops in Africa, during the 60ties, against the guerilla, and they where a sucess.

In fact my concern is really enemy tanks. My idea is to have a tank, cheap, but able to do breaktroughs and to be deployed against other tanks.

It would be quite out of it's depth unfortunately. It couldn't even go head to head with the medium tanks of its time.

The Sherman (firefly?) would be a good choice. It was cheap, very reliable and decently armed even by the standards of the 1950s.

@ Kyiv I'm being honest with you, i had think in a last version of Sherman! Even the Super-Sherman that the israely use! But i don't know if someone already uses the Sherman... :( Do you know?

I like the Sherman tank, it has a kind of 40ties glamour, a touch of Art Deco on it!

One thing that i hate doing is being a copycat of others. See my point Kyiv, if there is a Sherman in the game it is because someone already made plans of it! For example, remember my "Garand Issue", Sylvania authorised me to say in the game that i illegaly copied its Garand and M1 Carbine. But I made my own versions, based on that site that you gave to me ;)

It is reallistic, and the game should remain in that point always :)

I imagine it is, but I don't know who is using it.

If you find the one who does and you guys can work something out ICly that would be great. If not, you can still use the Sherman.

My main tank is the British Centurion but some of my forces also use the American M47 Patton. I also have other tanks for special roles.

I've conducted a search in the forum. Nobody uses the Sherman... ;)

Ok, so the Sherman is mine, assume that besides all models the latest one is the only one in production, the Super Sherman.

Is that fine Kyiv?

Your tanks are to damn modern, that means they are expensive. I'm looking for a home made rolling junk yard, the Sherman fits well ;) Maybe I can buy some other stuff I will take a look by there

@ Kyiv sorry to bother you again, it is about military aircraft. I was thinking on spanish aircraft during the Francoist Regime. They had 2 major companies back then, all with State background and support, the CASA and Hispano Aviacion:

See this airplanes please:

CASA 2111 bomber:

HA 1112 fighter:

according to all this economics (my nightmare), and GDP things, is it possible to me to have this? I tried to choose something that fits in Portusgalia's background well! Not a very good thing, but at least it has something, a little bit of military know how! I think you undertand the point

Actually they're from late WWII and the early 50's. I'll give you a good price, don't worry. Jesus, I gave Vestrland a frigate and a plane for free.
