Greater Sarmatia's Truth
Emergency Broadcast

As that all-to familiar green screen overtook every state-approved television station in the Most Serene Commonwealth, including those that made regular international broadcasts, nearly every person in the nation - and the world- already knew what was to come. The man that was there, beyond that green screen needed no introduction. He was the single most recognizeable Sarmatian currently living, the "All-Highest," and the "Supreme Leader" of the glorious Greater Sarmatian State.

He sat in an infinitely ornate room in the newly "rediscovered" Biały Palace, with polished jade from the Far East- dating back to the 17th Century gleaming behind him. He wore a simple enough suit, obviously expensive and exquisitely tailored, and wore no obvious jewlery, but bore an aura perhaps more regal than even Mniszech.

"Righteous sons and daughters of our Beloved Mother Sarmatia, it is my duty to you, as your rightly ordained leader, to report that as of 1:03 PM, Sarmatian Central Standard Time, a state of war will exist between the Most Serene Commonwealth of Greater Sarmatia and the criminal Milliyetci Clique, and the genocidal tyrant known as "the Rehber."

While we bear no ill-will to the generally hard-working and honest Barazian people, we as a nation can no longer afford to ignore the plight of the Khazars of Barazi, who are our literal brothers. Our mighty nation has been stirred by this monumental injustice done unto these noble men and women, and now- will not rest until the Milliyetci Clique has been expunged from existence, and an entirely new administration installed in all portions of Barazian territory, with security for all the oppressed peoples of that southern nation guaranteed in perpetuity.

A task-force of our most elite troops, drawn from the Southern Operational Command, as overseen by Generał Wincenty K. Gosiewski are prepared to engage Barazian forces loyal to the Milliyetci Clique and will soon be crossing our southern border, as preceded by a "substantial" display of Sarmatian air-superiority.

I can only ask of each and every one of you one thing: support your soldiers, and look to the needs of your neighbors, in this- our greatest moment as a nation. We have gone through so much, and have more yet to finished, but such is the price that God has lain before us: in exchange for His promise of grace and justice- we must ensure the same in our less fortunate neighbors. We cannot, as a people allow such ungodly savagery to continue under our very noses.

And so, I offer this prayer, that God see justice done swiftly, and truly through our brave soldiers. That the oppressed peoples of the South know the freedom that is so sweet in the mouths of every citizen of this Most Serene Commonwealth. That we stray not from this righteous path, in pursuit of sinful pleasures.

As always, I offer my eternal gratitude to the people of this nation, and the mandate that they have given me, to see our beloved Homeland made great once more, to ensure that we will forever more be capable of ensuring our own destiny."

Greater Sarmatia's Truth
Nightly News Broadcast

The doe-eyed Khazar beauty on the screen, Serakh Sabriel had been the real face of the National Truth since it had begun broadcasting some time ago now. She was consistently rated as "one of the most beautiful women in the world, and surely the most beautiful Khazar" in polls, and was the darling of every spotlight in the nation. Her face, her entire demeanor normally radiated such an upbeat, kind-hearted energy that the steel-eyed seriousness that she greeted Greater Sarmatia with tonight was a bit startling.

"Good evening, this is the NPT Nightly News on Cwartek, the 17th day of Czerwiec, 2010.

The whole of the nation is on the edge of its seat tonight, with the first twenty-four hours of our war with the Milliyetci Clique of Barazi come and gone, and Sarmatian and Živ forces continuing the advance towards the capital, Kraliyet."

The usual montage of short clips, this time of entirely new stock footage flashes on every screen in the nation. A hulking, six-wheeled vehicle with a space-age looking rotating machine-gun on the top, carrying a load of cheering Naval Infantrymen...NDF GI's taking surrending Baraturk soldiers into custody, the very model of the humane treatment of prisoners of war...a self-propelled rocket artillery unit, sending a horrible volume of high explosives arching into the air...Three Husarz Ir-25 gunships, bristling with missile tips and heavy machine guns loomed on the horizon, with some of those missiles streaking down- and directly into Barazian infantry fighting vehicles, almost instantly reducing each of those to holocausts of flesh, steel, and fire.

"As you can see, our forces are already heavily engaged on all levels, and have met with universal success. An additional surge of manpower is expected to arrive on the theater within some few days time, virtually sealing the fate of "the Rehber," and his murderous cronies. According to the Southern Operational Command, morale is surprisingly high amongst soldiers across the spectrum, from commanding staff-officers to enlisted men, and every initial condition that had been set for the first phase of "Operation Jackboot" has been quickly met."

Cracking a smile small for the first time, the darling of Sarmatian television turned "to the man just off camera," who turned out to be a rather exhausted looking fellow- in what would have been universally recognized as journalist field fatigues- on the stretch screen that dominated the wall-space just a bit to the left of the news desk.

"I understand that you had a chance to make a quick fly-over of the action along the front today Jan?"

The smile and the nod that waited just off camera, set like some charm-stone on the face of Jan Artamanow concealed- entirely- the stupefied awe that had gripped when he'd "had the chance" to fly over what was still very much a zone under the control of the Milliyetci. Živ Airborne Shock-Troopers were engaging them along an extended and increasingly fortified line some distance from the three-way border shared by all of the nations involved in the war- and were making some savagely won advances directly into that line. A stirring tale or two could be found there, of that Artamanow was sure.

"Indeed I did Serakh, and let me tell you- I would hate to be on the receiving end of what Allied Forces are pouring into Barazian positions. In my career, I have had the opportunity to bear witness to very real combat a number of times, all around the world- but all of that pales in comparison to the scale of the fighting here, and absolute precision which Sarmatian and Živ troops are achieving their objectives."

"Have there been any reports of Sarmatian casualties since the outbreak of fighting Jan?"

"No, no Serakh, none yet, and that is actually something- efficient and effective communications- that the force that the Southern Operation Command was fashioned from was known for, so I expect that there just haven't been any Sarmatian casualties yet, though I'm afraid that it might impossible to make it through this affair without any. But such is the cost of justice, Serakh, and every soldier on the ground here will tell you that they would eagerly give their life for that."

The look of concern on Ms. Sabriel's face could have cracked a thoughtful smile on a gargoyle's face, and the equally concenred nod brought the audience back in, to her big, clear brown eyes. "And those are tonight's top headlines, in brief. Next, Lemko community leaders are concerned that proposed new educational standards for the the upcoming school year will have radical effects..."

Greater Sarmatia's Truth
Today's Headlines

 The newly formed "Southern Task Force" of the Wielkosarmatska Marynarka Wojenna* (WSMW), or the Greater Sarmatian Navy set out from Groszow this morning, with next to no fanfare, but plenty of advanced warning for other regional powers.

"The Southern Task Force was formed- explicitly- for the purpose of supporting Allied Operations in Barazi, and we felt it prudent to make it clear to Kyiv, Nokanawa, and yes- even Yiyuan that our vessels would be passing within firing distance of Jizhou's blockaded national waters..." Kontradmirał (Rear admiral) Pawel Dzialynski said in a telephone interview conducted a few hours after the Southern Task Force departed. "...We don't expect to see any real action, and we certainly don't intend to interfere with what we're estimating to be "an internal matter" for Nokanawa. We do expect that the addition of this force to the conflict in Barazi will effectively end any and all chances for resistance that the Milliyetci war-criminals have."

Kadm. Dzialynski declined to make any comment on the specific composition of the Task Force other than to say that "the strength represented in that Force will be easily capable of meeting, and defeating any resistance offered by the Baraturks."

 In the largest political rally licensed in the Most Serene Commonwealth in twenty-eight years, more than eighty thousand Khazars crowded the streets of Central Balanjar today, in support of Absalom Burishad Yaghbu Nakh's decision to remain in Khazaria, regardless of whether the All-Highest, our Most Beloved Supreme Leader agrees to restore Nakh's royal titles and perogatives. Such a restoration seems increasingly likely however, as Nakh has not only been allowed to reclaim a significant percentage of his family's land, which was appropriated by Republican forces in the middle years of the Civil War. Likewise, there are rumors of financial compensation for other property taken, and either lost or hidden, by Republican forces.

"I have for too long been away from my people, too long separated from their honesty and warmth. The opportunity that our Supreme Leader gave me, to return to my homeland, and to walk the streets that my honored ancestors paved...After having experienced all of this, I can do naught but stay, and make it my life's work to serve the people of this land- my people- with what time the Lord sees fit to allow me."

Nakh was visibly moved by the outpouring of support from the people of Balanjar, and is rumored to be making it his permanent home in Greater Sarmatia. In the days since Nakh first arrived in Khazaria, he has conducted dozens of meeting with community leaders in every district of the Khazar state, and in many cases has managed to smooth over a number of grievances that have threatened the new-found prosperity of the Most Serene Commonwealth. He has also organized a number of domestic, and international relief-funds for the semi-nomadic "Barakhazars" of the South, who have been relentlessly oppressed by the Milliyetci for far too long- earning the praise and support of a number of NGO's around the world.

 The office of His Most Reverend Eminence, Kajetan III Sołtyk, the Reformed Arch-Deacon of Hrodino is pleased to report that the first three hundred applicants for membership in the Green Shirts have been accepted- from a pool of nearly ten thousand volunteers. These three hundred were selected with their leadership abilities in mind and will go on to serve as councilors and instructors for the phase in the development of the Youth Organization, which is set to begin sometime before the Holiday Season.

 Carentania, heir-apparent to the leadership of International Socialism, encourages "revolts" in Oikawa and the League of Free States, and allow for the "liberation of the oppressed masses in the east." Though Carentian has long been recognized as an unnecessarily antagonistic and satirical mover in the diplomatic arena, the State Secretariat of the Most Serene Commonwealth has well-noted this subtle hint at a coming International Communist Revolution

 The Secretariat of Education has announced that it will be acquiring the rights to the National Lottery, in hopes of rejuvenating the currently defunct institution, and using the proceeds to partially fund the sweeping reforms that are being proposed by the current Secretary of Education, Zofia Odrowaz. The proposed National Education Lottery will be run by an independent contractor, which will answer directly to the Secretary- and will be subject to annual contract reevaluations.

 A number of National Rugby Union club owners have been quoted as saying that this year's season, interrupted by recent civil unrest, will restart sometime in early Lipiec**. Some Sarmatian Football League promoters have expressed a concern that when League play resumes in Sierpień***, ongoing Rugby Union play will detract from much-needed profits for a number of expansion teams.

*: Greater Sarmatian War-Marine, aka Navy, also not the same title this service had yesterday...

Greater Sarmatia's Truth
Mówiący Głowice

"Good afternoon folks, and welcome to 'Talking Heads,' on this beautiful Sabbath, the 20th of Czerwiec, 2010- I'm Bogdan Reimarus, filling in for Barbara Giersz." The upbeat, "sophisticated" intro-music died away as the cameras focused on the over-dressed gentleman standing at the center of an ultra-modern studio, completely dwarfed by the massive projection screen on the wall behind him- which was already flashing images related to the topics of today's show.

The first images were clips taken from the streets- and then the ultra-hip dock front of the Živ city of Karpati, not that far across the Sarmato-Živ border. It has, for some years new, been the single most-visited cities in the world by Sarmatians- particularly "hip" young college-age students. Most of the fashions- whether it was clothing, music, and morality and political views that are taken for granted in Karpati had been actively exported to Sarmatian, by way the young and rich, those children of Magnates with enough money to allow their children to spend many months, and many million złoty however they desired.

"I wouldn't be surprised if everyone one of you watching this afternoon didn't immediately recognize that network of neon and other imaginatively designed signs for what it is: the waterfront of Karpati, the "poshest" city in Central Europe. A city where any twenty-something Oltremaren, Khazar, Kryobaijan (rare, but still there nonetheless), Sarmatian or Wieser with the money and the family-connections to get into the city's most exclusive high-society hotspots spend millions every year.

The cultural impact that this single city has had upon the "elite" of Sarmatian society since the 1960's has been profound, with many of the greatest minds on both sides of the political spectrum claiming Karpati's intellectually stimulating, emotionally liberating absolute freedom to be amongst their greatest aspirations for Hrodino, Misłika, and Balanjar."

Reimarus nonchalantly depresses the button clenched lightly in his hand, and the screen changes again, to a splash of the rather well-known Sarmatian social-commentator, Dr. Ewa Krysztofski. She was currently the Dean of the School of Liberal Arts at the Royal University of Stary Hrodino. Her widely-read and highly respected work on the ever-growing connections between Generation X and Y Khazars, Sarmatians, and Živs in Centrjziema, "Closing Ranks: Central Europe's Response to Globalization."

"I think that it's entirely natural, and entirely healthy that there is a great deal of very deep and meaningful blending of the pop-cultures of Greater Sarmatia and Životinje. As many commentators and historians are quick to point out, we have a long history and complicated history, littered with instances of shattered trust and unnecessarily lost lives.

The past year has seen an end to that environment of hostility, between our governments at least- but that's as early as the late 1980's, tens of thousands of young Khazars and Sarmatians were blazing a path across the border, to spend their summers (and sometime winters) in Karpati, rather that in some more exotic (and traditional) venues in Frescania, Monarchist Wazistan, Oltremare, Sinhai. Hell, I spent three whole years in Karpati as a post-grad, from 1974-1982." Dr. Krysztofski brushed a strand of slowly graying hair from her vibrant emerald-colored eyes, and lit a cigarette before continuing.

"There were literally thousands of us there, in some places you didn't even need to speak Zivjezik- but all of us did anyone, of course. When we first got there, it was like we were doing something deliciously seditious by learning Zivjezik, as the Kingdom had entered into a decidedly anti-"liberal" period. It was a safe haven for so many thousands of us during the Civil War, and our extended stay there had a long-lasting effect on everyone. We saw the horrors that had gripped our home country, but were safely removed from them...and were more than a little swayed by the popular Živ opinions of that time. We carried those opinions home with us, and adapted them to our own society, as best we could...and I think left a bit of ourselves back there, in Karpati- just like every generation of Khazar and Sarmatian kids do."

Reimarus nodded and quirked his head slightly, very much looking as if he were wrestling with some difficult thing to ask, which he did anyway. "With that ongoing social exchange in mind Ms. Krysztofski, do you think that they "banner-time" of excellent relations, military cooperation and economic exchange will continue- and even increase in magnitude; or do you think, like many seem to, that this is only a momentary breath between bouts of unrelenting competition on all levels between our two peoples?"

Krysztofski laughed, a high and melodic sound, and blew a thin stream of milky-gray smoke over her shoulder. "Well Bogdan, I think it's quite obvious what I'd like to think is going to happen. Things are going to continue on in this vein, and with across-the-board increases in access to educational and informational services- including WiFi access and satellite television, international transportation service, and ever-expanding commercial and industrial cooperation only speeding up. Within twenty years, I think that it will be almost impossible to distinguish the average Sarmatian on a street in Hrodino from the average Živ or Khazar, or maybe even Baraturk."

Barazi Capitulates to Allied Forces, Whereabouts of "the Rehber" Unknown

Stary Hrodino- To make use of a tried and true cliché- the news of the Baraturk capitulation has spread throughout Wielkosarmatska like a wildfire through the parches steppe. After only five days of actual Sarmatian military operations in the Południecentrjziema (South-Central European) Conflict, the leadership of the predominately Baraturkish nation offered their unconditional surrender to the allied forces of the Blue Union Captaincy of Životinje and the Most Serene Commonwealth of Greater Sarmatia.

With Ziv forces already streaking into the capital, and "the Rehber" having fled for parts unknown, there was no other option for the nominal authorities in Kraliyet but to surrender, and accept the terms that will soon be handed down by Allied Commanders.

"Operation Jackboot," as the surprisingly abortive campaign was known, is being touted as a complete success in Stary Hrodino, where Marszałek Konstanty Rola was on hand to offer his congratulations to all Allied Troops involved in the successful liberation of the southern-most nation of Centrjziema. Though he was either unwilling, or at this point, incapable of relating any of the details of the duration, and extent of any future operations within Barazi, but he did confirm that there were "some thousand" Greater Sarmatian servicemen currently in the vanquished nation.

A senior secretary of the All-Highest, our most Beloved Supreme Leader, and relative newcomer to the political spotlight, the Reverend Doctor Anton Fabrycy also issued an official proclamation of national celebration beginning today, and ending in exactly seven days, when "the final phase of the All-Highest's Righteous Reforms for the Greater Sarmatian State will come to fruition- and the Sarmatian and Khazar peoples shall retake their hard-won place in the sun."

His Majesty Sultan Huseyn wishes to express his pleasure at the overthrowal of the oppressive and iconoclastic Rehber regime, but also his concern for the Barazian nation. The Sultanate trusts that the occupation forces will respect the safety, rights, and traditional religion of the Barazian nation.

"His Imperial Majesty's Cabinet of Ministers expresses our satisfaction over the quick end to the military conflict between the nations of Sarmatia and Zivotinje with the nation of Barazi, thus minimising the loss of lives and economic activity by a considerable degree. In that, we congratulate the involved powers, and urge them to further respect life and peace in their up and coming peace treaty.

"We need to express our concerns, however, over the unilateral capitulation of the Rehber regime, and the recent news over a state of chaos in many Barazi cities and towns. We hope and trust that Greater Sarmatia and Zivotinje will not impose an unfair peace treaty on the people of Barazi, who are unrelated to this conflict and its purposes, and will respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Barazi nation state."

"...But yes, yes- for the first time since 1981, Khazaria, really the prettier, more productive half of our great nation- Khazaria has a monarch for the first time since 1981. Yep, they did it- apparently even announced it at a "V-Day" celebration in Balanjar, right on the steps of the National Synagogue. The crowd would've gone through the roof if His Majesty hadn't had the sense to make the announcement outside." Barbara Giersz offered the nation her best smile, which might have been as brilliant as the lovely young Ms. Serakh Sabriel twenty years ago. Now she virtually controlled the attention of the entire national audience, much in the way that a regal, matronly teacher would control a classroom's attention.

The screens on the wall behind her, in probably the second-most recognizable studio in Greater Sarmatia, all pumped the same feeds- showing Absalom Burishad Yaghbu Nakh, now Khagan Absalom VIII of the Ancient and Mighty Royal Yaghbu Clan greeting the multitudes of adoring Khazars, many weeping, on the streets of Balanjar. Yaghbu Clan Damghas, nearly as old as the steppes themselves, fluttered proudly in the summer wind- as stirring through the television screen as it had been in person.

"I don't know that it was planned for the coronation to actually take place there on the street- but can there be any more powerful a mandate? They practically lifted the man up on their shoulders- praising both the Khagan and the All-Highest, Our Most Beloved Supreme Leader as "bringers of justice," and "champions of the dispossessed and downtrodden." Giersz continued to smile, but for those that really paid attention to her mannerisms, they could almost catch the slightly put-off tumble of her hair, as she almost shook her head. Though she was far from disbelief- she was more than aware of what was going on in the nation that she loved- she was still not quite sure just how far this mad race towards Armageddon would continue.

"And the Secretariat of the State, surely speaking on behalf of the All-Highest, says that it will in no way disregard what is obviously the will of the Khazar people. I've also got it through my personal grapevine into the White Palace that legislation is already being prepared for the All-Highest's signature...which would make it official folks. And it is going to happen folks, probably before the end of this week." Her fingers stabbed down sharply, planting the point as firmly as was possible.

Barbara Giersz was a professional- and a family woman. She was the "bread winner" in her family, which consisted of her early twenty-something Belmontien "wife," and the two year old child they'd adopted together. She was eminently concerned with her ability to continue working in the field that she loved, eminently concerned with the tolerance the current regime was so careful to make clear they were dispensing.

It was a dangerous time to be alive, for anyone with a real voice in Sarmatian society. She, like her boss Seweryn Sanguszko, was very keenly aware that the tide of history was behind Kościałkowsky- and that required her to be more of a literal talking head than she'd ever been in her life. Sure, she was as charming and witty as ever...but it had been many, many months since she'd written her own material. Even in the most dreadful days of the years before- and even during Mniszech's government, she'd been free to speak her mind on the many hilarities of the political arena.

The brutally efficient, and utterly silent purge that had seen Kościałkowsky installed as the Supreme Leader had effectively convinced anyone without a death-wish that resistance- even passive non-compliance- was out of the question. There were so many new unmarked graves in this country- so many whole families just emptied into the gaping maw of the abyss...

It hadn't really been a surprise when Seweryn had told Giersz that it would fall to her to let the rumor slip. That was, afterall, what her show had been doing since its debut. She'd been on Kanał-1 back then, and it had been the "national benchmark" of television. God, but it hadn't taken long to dismantle that powerhouse. Mniszech had started it with a sentence, or so Giersz had heard. And Kościałkowsky had been the end of him.

"I have to say though- if the Khazars get to have their Khagan, what about us? There are plenty of people marching in the streets already, millions of Sarmatians clamoring for the same thing. Where is our Kingdom- no, where is our Empire? As a people, we've finally turned back to God- to God's vocation for us, as a race and a nation- and He's rewarding us with renewed prosperity, and victory- He's showing us that we've been meant for this all along. The Sarmatian people have been gifted with the might of the ages, with what I'm sure those seditious, slant-eyed Han would call a "Mandate from Heaven," or some such something as that. You know how they are." She smiles mischievously, and pulls her eyes taut with very deliberate fingers, and forces her two front teeth out- mocking the epicanthic folds, and common buck-teeth of the Han- and Oikawans, and the Goryo...and Sinese...

"Anyway. I give it a week. Maybe less...but someone really important- not just me- will be saying it. And before too long, we'll all have the satisfaction of knowing that we're finally back on the right path- after three decades of political tomfoolery, we've got a Godly Ruler- and a Godly Nation- that are going places. Important places- places that we should have gone long, long ago."

Empire of Greater Sarmatian to be Proclaimed!!!

originally posted at 1830, SCST

Stary Hrodino- There are few words to describe the intensity of the emotions that are spilling over in every alley, cafe, street or tavern of Old Hrodino tonight. It seems that every house has been emptied, and every Sarmatian standard to be had is proudly raised, waving mightily and majestically in this, the fairest wind that has blown upon the Throne-City of the Sarmatian Steppe in quite some time.

For decades- and particularly in the past year- it seemed that a great blight had fallen over the Sarmatian people, constant disappointment and social-decay- everyday of unwilling poverty a glaring reminder of the power and prosperity that we once enjoyed as a people. Those days are over- that blight that so hideously deformed our collective national-soul has been purged. The unifying will of a single man has pulled us from the brink- uniting us, and leading us to victory- mere months after it seemed that we might be on the verge of total anarchy.

Addressing the nation- and a crowd of some hundred and fifty thousand Khazars and Sarmatians in the Wielki Orientalny Wojna Pamięć Plac (the Great Oriental War Remembrance Square)- the man who has finally risen to the challenge of leading our mighty nation, Doctor Jozef Kościałkowsky- the All-Highest, Our Most Beloved Supreme Leader announced that the last phase of our great "national revival" is at hand- when we shall as a nation, and more importantly- as individuals- return to our Heavenly Ordained place in the world, as a true and self-acknowledged Empire, the Empire of Greater Sarmatia.

Our Most Beloved Supreme Leader is to be crowned as Cesarz (Kaiser/Emperor) Jozef III Kościałkowsky, the progenitor of a new and worthy dynasty, proven not only capable of economic, military, and political leadership, but also of accurately gauging the will of the Khazar and Sarmatian peoples. Any fears of a return to the sadistic neglect of the deposed and mostly defunct House Krzyzewski-Matejko- the last remnants of whom have long since succumbed to the siren-call of Occidental Vice in the Frankishe villas, and are entirely unfit to walk upon the sacred soil of the Sarmatian nation.

No official date for the Imperial Coronation was indicated in the Emperor-Elect's (as the All-Highest is to be officially addressed until the Coronation), but it will likely fall later in the coming week. The Secretariat of State did confirm that the Imperial Coronation Ceremony would be "far more open that the ceremony in which the Emperor-Elect was confirmed as Supreme Leader...we have also issued a number of communiqués to allied, friendly, and like-minded nations throughout Europe, inviting them to send an appropriate representative to Stary Hrodino for this, our beloved nation's Most Sacred Rite, and to recognize the Rightful and Divinely Mandated Imperial Suzerainty of the House of Kościałkowsky over Imperial Sarmatia and Royal Khazaria, in perpetuity.

Nations confirmed to be on the list of "allied, friendly, and like-minded nations" include, but likely will not be limited to: the Blue Union Captaincy of Živontinje, the Empire of Greater Oikawa, the Commandry of Kyiv and Novgorod, the Most Serene Kingdom of Oltremare, the Sinhai Union, the Republic of Tyskreich, the Republic of Frescania, the Commonwealth of Cornavia, the Sultanate of Hajr, Kaisertum Wieserreich, and the Kingdom of Belmont.

Well the Commandry is honored by it's invitation to the Emperor-Elects coronation ceremony we regret to inform you that as long as there is an open invitation to the Empire of Oikawa the Commandry cannot attend in any formal capacity. To attend such a function as equals would legitimize the illegal and unjust occupation of the sovereign Slavian lands in Polatsk by the Oikawan Empire.

Commander of the Foreign Affairs Directorate,
General-Feldmarschall Vasili Malyar

His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince of Hajr, al-Abbas ibn Huseyn, will be present at the coronation of Jozef III, along with his brothers, Prince Suleiman, Prince Uthman, Prince Harun, and Prince 'Abd ul-Aziz.

The Guardian of the Three Sacred Shrines wishes to convey the following message to the Emperor-elect: "We are saddened to bring You this news, but We must attend to imminent matters of State, and cannot attend Your noble coronation. We convey upon You this humble gift, instead. It is Our fervent wish that Our sons will represent Our Realm adequately, in Our place. Peace be upon You."

His Victorious Majesty conveys upon the Emperor-elect Jozef III five of his very finest Numidian steeds, a rare collection of plants from his botanical garden, a suit of gilded armor which was once worn by al-Abbas the Golden, and, graciously, an extremely rare, priceless, magnificent white Camel. These lavish gifts shall be presented to the Emperor-elect, by Their Royal Highnesses, the Princes of Hajr.

Kryobaijan
USSK Office of Foreign Affairs

The current imperialization of Greater Sarmatia is troubling and potentially destabilizing event that is of great concern to the Kryobaijani government. While the USSK will recognize and cooperate with this new, de facto administration of Greater Sarmatia, it is with no small degree of worry that Kryobaijan accepts such developments. Nonetheless, the Kryobaijani government sends its best wishes to Dr. Kościałkowsky.

The Sarmatian ambassador has been summoned to a joint assembly of the Revolutionary Council and Intersectionalist Party officials to explain these developments, and their impact on the future of Kryobaijani-Greater Sarmatian relations.

According to Eiffellandian belief, it brings bad luck to congratulate because of something that has not occurred yet. We wish Emperor-Elect Dr. Kościałkowsky a good and prosperous reign and much wisdom during his reign.

Wielki Orientalny Wojna Pamięć Kwadrat

Please no beatings, but are you sure about that "kwadrat"? The problem with the English word "square" is, that it has two meanings. One is a square in the sense of for instance "Times Square"; the other one is a mathematical one ("raised to power 2"). The Dutch "Kwadraat" means "raised to power 2", and I'm afraid the Polish use "kwadrat" for "raised to power 2". I can ask my Polish colleagues if you want me to.

The translate function of Google also gives "kwadrat" for the English "square", but I'm afraid that's only correct for the mathematical meaning. I found "plac" on another site, and on the map of Warsaw. But you can RP that the Sarmatians use "kwadrat" in their version of Polish, because almost all squares are square (although Aachen has many triangular squares).

OOC: Good to know Eiffell, I'll change it to reflect that. Many thanks. Also, it's possible that I might gloss over the verification messages in most cases, or I might send them via PM.
