Anyway, the features of neighbouring countries are based entirely on maps of those countries I found on the forums.

that is incredible, possibly one of the best maps i've seen on here in the last 8 years

i'm going to take this opportunity to make the perennial point that beautiful images like these should not be hidden behind URLs, as per the forum's current image policy. We've got to find some way of letting site visitors/new people see the awesome pictures we make (pictures which are obviously not in violation of any conceivable copyright). It makes the whole place look so much more alive, inviting, and professional (not a discussion for this thread though)

Here is the first preview of my map. I still have to change some stuff with it to be truly happy and will probably tweak it as things go along, but this is the general direction I'll be taking. Description of what the different symbols and hexes do will come tomorrow or so as well as OOB/position of troops and the rulesets, as I'll be using the hexes for internal conflict simulation.

Thanks! If you are interested, I could create you one as well, it will just take some time and some input on your part regarding which parts should turn out how. Since you, if barely, are also on my map, we could then combine the maps into a greater hex representation of that general area.

A draft of the terrain of Gallia. A better looking map will emerge in the coming days. If anyone's interested, please do respond to this post and tell me what your terrain is like, such that I might add you to this map! Otherwise, I'll only be including the NPC nations--I'd rather not take liberties with other people's stuff.
