Hey, everyone. I'm from the US, and to be honest, I've never really done much in the way of RP before. I just joined up on NS though, found this, and thought it might be fun. In other words, patience would be appreciated while I get off of the ground! I'm currently reading through the New Player Guide and the FAQ page, which I assume will make more sense when I have two posts on the forum and all the links no longer say Hidden Content. I'm hoping, at least.

No duels for me, thanks! I'm just enjoying putting things together. Is there a spot on the forum with a brief history of the game so far? That way I can try to write my country's back story in line with what has already happened.

For what I've seen one usually decides where to be on the map and then talks with the nations of that area to find his place in history.

Awesome. One last question - I see the map is roughly divided into zones for the ethnic clustering. I'm guessing that the cultures are generally a match for their real world counterparts, so Touyou=Asian, Himyar=Africa, etc. Would selecting a territory in North Borea (which is currently empty) cause someone to be left out of the game? Just working on a history, but I'd hate to ask for, say, B25 if that would leave me too much on the sidelines. A little on the sidelines is fine while I'm getting used to RP, but especially with 1950's tech, I don't see that that would be too large of a problem, right?

I don't see the problem, also socialist world republic is planning to take territory somewere around B13 if I remember correctly, so you wouldn't be that isolated, also you would be quite near the gothic sea.

No not at all I only joined recently and from what I can tell is that the forum had very few active members but now more are joining and I think it would be a good time to go to Borea because once the next map update on March 1st comes out there will be the massive SWR in Borea and your nation and because Borea's spots are some of the largest it will look alot more populated with only 2 nations on there.
