Ahahah, I guess Justiza was taken by the surprise of seeing another fratello d'Italia!
I see your Empire has a Greek culture and as I would like to locate my Kingdom in the Greek area, could you maybe suggest me some topics involving that part of Europe so I adjust my story to what has been written?
Ah, what a rude person I am...nice o meet you :p
Nice to meet you too XD Anyway I'm our version of the Byzantine Empire, so I'm pretty much a Greek nation claiming to be the Roman Empire (or Tiburan Empire as we call it here). Tibur (the city in the empty spot north of me) is Rome and that peninsula is Italy. The person next to me is a coalition of Crusader States. The spot to my right is empty and Justiza is an insular Italian nation. Greek history is pretty much the same as in RL (though to be honest we really just haven't sat down and developped ancient history in detail) except in our timeline the Byzantines (me) are still around.Other than that we can work out whatever you want, since you'll be the only other nation in that cultural area. ;)

Welcome! I didn't RP that much myself before joining this forum, but is fun, and people are kind..

Unless you challenge to duel an enemy during a diplomatic meeting :rolleyes2:

We've seen worse. Oh the memories and the stories we could tell.

Now that you say it, that time that somebody started a shooting in a diplomats club, one of my diplomats jumped out of the window to avoid the bullets.

And another time, there was a diplomat who wanted to rape one of my younger diplomats.

Both events occurred in a diplomats club attached to an early predecessor of the House of Nations. Even diplomats do funny things when they are drunk. For instance setting the building to fire.

Thanks for this brief summary about your Empire and the surrounding territories! Good to know that the Greek area is not overcrowded so I won't risk stepping on too many neighbours' stories :p
Surfing the forum, I bumped into this political map ( ). Is it the most recent right? Just to get to know better the players and where they are.
I'm working on the history of my kingdom and when I've completed it, before sharing it here on the forum with the other info, I'd like to give you by private message a sort of preview so that I modify this history if necessary. Of course, I'll send it this message only if it's ok for you ;-)

Ahahah, truth be told, I too found an older map the first time but since I didn't find your empire and the other nations you talked about in it, I took a better look :p

Both are inferior to Renzi's Enlgish:
XD

Ahahahah, please don't mock him, he's just a creative guy who creates new words and expressions :D According to urban legends, Renzi has been improving his English skills after those "performances"

shish!
I was exactly thinking about the same video!

During WW II, the Dutch Government in Exile in London was initially led by Dirk Jan de Geer. When this man decided to return to the Netherlands, which were occupied by Nazi-Germany at that time, Queen Wilhelmina appointed Pieter Sjoerds Gerbrandy Prime-Minister. Rumours say that Gerbrandy's English was not really good. For instance, when he met with Churchill, he didn't say "Hello, Sir", but "Goodbye, Sir". Now there are two versions about Churchill's reply. One version is: "I wish that all my meetings were so short." The other version is: "What? Are you going to travel back as well, like that other one?"

That would actually be a very likely scenario. Tsipras spoke absolutely horrible English and back in 2014 when his party started growing his English constantly improved.

After:
At least he made some progress XD

It's funny because the Dutch people is usually thought as one capable of speaking English even better than native speakers!

Well, it depends on whom you meet. Dutch are generally ones of the better non-native speakers, but on average we don't speak it as well as the native speakers. And also we generally have big accents in our English. Unfortunately. English with a British, French or German accent sounds much better than English with a Dutch accent according to me.

In any case, at work I hear the English of Dutch, Dutch-speaking Belgians, French-speaking Belgians, French, Spanish, Italians, Germans, Polish, Ukrainians, Russians, Americans, English, Scottish, a Catalan, a Hong-Kong Chinese, two Indians, an Arab, a Latvian/Lithuanian and a West-African.
