@All Participants: I intend to control Henk (Batavian Republican Army leader) and Frans (BRA Insurgency leader), but I would like for someone to eventually take control over broader BRA actions at some point. When things get more complicated and active, it will be better if someone other than me is RPing the BRA as I don't want to RP against myself. So if anyone is interested in that, please PM me.

Vangala will probably try and intervene if it feels the Batavian government is not handling the situation well, with Kilkila already slightly annoyed at the International Revolutionary Bloc's refusal to prevent the Intersectionalist coup in Kryobaijan.

As far as I'm concerned, I'll take whatever role you prefer I have, but seeing as how ICly Batavie is of incredible importance due to the fact its the only socialist/communist/IRB Scandinavian country in the world and is also the furthest geographically West IRB/Socialist nation. Therefore, for both our own and IRB security, the Republic views Batavie as a rather important ally (and hopefully a close one at that) and will do as much as possible to prevent anything from threatening the reign of socialism in Batavie.
But again, I'll take whatever role Batavie prefers me to have.

Silently, the Levant will start on supporting democratic resistance against the Batavian People's Republic. Levantine agents will be looking for proper connections, bringing people together and down the line (should the Levantine intelligence agency be convinced that they are capable people) they will be supplied with arms. Levantine Intelligence is in for the long haul, and doesn't necessarily want to see quick results.
Let it be clear that openly, the Levant is seeking for a detente with the IRB, and is not seeking to provoke a war. But due to Batavia's presence on the border, and a perceived possibility for relatively peaceful change, the Levant considers support to democratic powers to be crucial.

@Drei: My main intelligence agency, Institut de Sécurité l'État (ISE), maintains agents in Batavie who keep Paris informed of the ground realities but they remain away from subversive tactics. During the Plantard days, we would have been supporting the anti-communists but PM Millerand has frozen that assistance and Belmont is monitoring the situation with microscopic intensity. With the establishment of the High Commission in your capital, the Belmontien involvement will intensify. As for who Belmont supports, that remains to be decided since I need to read "De Ochtenden" again before making any decision.
Arendaal would want to remain neutral in the conflict, so officially the government won't take sides either way. Off the record they'd prefer a democratic neighbour to a communist one, so they would probably give some tacit support to the rebels (giving them carte blanche to operate, discreetly, out of Hainaut, possibly some money, arms etc) but never openly.
Going to do anything with the Scanian guns?

Please accept my apologies for being brief in my first post in this war.
For French being the language of diplomacy, this is an interesting issue. In real life, English became the lingua franca of the world because England was the superpower of the 19th century and the USA were the hero of WW II and the protector against the Soviets after that. But the role of English-speaking countries is less pronounced in our RP-world. I even think that there would be more than one lingua franca there. For the region around Batavië, it would be either French, or German, or a Scanian language.
