Official Statement to the High Kingdom of Ivernia

The Jurzani Government is horrified at the idea of superiority over the native peoples of Himyar. The Ivernians are an alien people that have no place on this continent. For far too long have the Himyari People been victims from nations of greater power.

The Ivernian Government has no rights to occupy this land as it is not theirs and it belongs to the respective natives of the continent. This “no coloured children left behind” program is insulting and primitive and it shows the sheer ignorance of the Ivernish policy makers in the area. If the Ivernians believe they can come to the continent and dictate a change from thousands of years of tradition and claim that their culture is in any “lesser” is an insult to the entire continent and further proof of the misguided, elitist ideologies of numerous northern nations.

If the Ivernian foreigners attempt to suppress the culture and rights of the native peoples, of whom the land rightfully belongs to, will be met with fierce resistance from the Islamic Union.

The measures pursued by the Celts in the Ivernian Himyar are emblematic of the reason why some nations have been gracefully bestowed with the cares of governing and guiding those folk of lesser, even backward, existence into ideals and realities under the umbrella of commensurate progress of mankind upon earth guilded in the hallowed principles of righteousness, probity, love, wisdom and noble obligation.

I cannot pretend for one moment that some aspects of the programme announced by Alderbrough will not be fraught with difficulty and awkwardness, and even the occasional retreat, especially in respect of the adult population, but the agenda as per children should generally prove less troublesome.

It is essential that the High Kingdom progress in this regard, however, in order to create 'proper Ivernians', despite their multifarious ethnic mix and it will be testament to their efforts and the success of the initiative if it bears fruit, even if over the long term, in some cases a generation.

With ethnic separation existing in Danish Implaria, between the civilised and the nativist oceanic piccannies, though with gradual but cautious advances towards a goal of integration, we shall be watching and assessing the events in the Coast of Sun, Ivernia's Himyari colony, with concerted attention.

To the attention of: The Islamic Republic of the Jurzan

The first settlement founded on the Himyari coast by Ivernian's was Silver Fort in 1660. Chósta tSolais was formed through various settlements from 1741 onwards.

The High Kingdom of Ivernia has always maintained a forward approach to the native population of the Kingdoms within it's domain. In fact in some regards Ivernia is a pioneer. While natives have equal rights to the Himyari Ivernish, a sizable minority of them in this day and age refuse education, refuse voting rights and choose to remain in their tribes in the southern tail of Ivernian Himyar. The natives reject Ivernia and civilisation itself, choosing to remain at a feral stage of human development.

These tribes are bereft of modernity, civilisation and technology. No education, very low life expectancy and very low quality of life is what children born in these tribes today can expect to see in their life. The Senates of both Argatír and Chósta an tSólais at the beginning of this year 1953 decided to change this, to give the ''Tribalist Natives'' education, in order to make them working members of the High Kingdom, and in order to give them a better chance at life.

So entrenched in their culture of primitive ways however, these two Senates have decided to expand their re-education program to include the adults also. A much more difficult task, but ultimately necessary to ensure a complete and peaceful re-education.

The current culture of the Tribalist Natives is one of violence, no health treatment, low life expectancy and no education. A life of barely sustainable hunter-gathering upon the arid Southern Ivernian Himyar Savanna. This ''culture'' only oppresses it's own people and it is the will of the two Himyar Kingdoms to see it removed and replaced with, frankly, a superior culture of personal growth, acceptance and peace.

The Islamic Union of the Jurzan is invited to send an ambassador to the Kingdom of Chósta an tSolais and inspect the good works of it's Senate and it's Public Schools, where both Ivernian and Native Himyari work tirelessly to improve the Great Southern Kingdom.

HIGH KING FELIX ENTERS THE FRAY
The High King is attempting to open discussions with King Frederik III of Danmark!

Recent events regarding Danmark, and it's relationship with Sylvania, and the recent dissolution of majority government in Christiansborg has convinced the High King Felix Uí Neill to request a meeting with the King of the Danes, Frederik III. As of this time the specifics of the discussion, and how formal such a meeting would be are unknown. It is known that the High King Felix Uí Neill has been given full permission to arrange this meeting by the Department of Foreign Affairs, and he has assured the Senate that ''Ivernia's constant quest for peace shall be upheld.''

Last night the Ivernia Rugby Union officialy announced the 6 pools for the championship. Following a random seeding process 4 teams were entered into 6 pools and now each team shall play the other team twice to decide which 6 team comes out on top of the pool and enters the knockout tournament. PARLEY OF KINGS
Iverno-Danish-Saaremaan talks to commence!

At this moment it is known that the King-Emperor of Danmark, King Frederik III is soon to enter Ivernia via motorcade. This is a momentus occasion as Ivernia has already had the pleasure of hosting King Alvar VI of Saaremaa. This meeting of three Kings is a very rare event and one that may make or break the peace of the western world. Our High King did state that ''The only thing on my table is peace, and how to achieve it. I did not invite the King of Danmark up to Ivernia to insult his honour, and I did not hold the King of Saaremaa in Ivernia to waste his time.'' The High King Felix stated he is ''planning for fair, meaningful results.''


TRAIN LINES TO RECIEVE OVERHAUL
The Mazzio Corporation from Potenza, a world class leading in train manufacturing is to take the contract!

A long overdue undertaking, but the Prince-Elector of Environment, Transport, and Culture, Micheal Earhart, has stated that his department has recieved the funding to completely revitalise the rail system in Ivernia, in a muti-year, multi-stage process using state of the art trains from sunny Potenza. ''It is a day this department has been waiting for and the very position and proposal I stood for when I ran for Elector-Prince in the Senate. I am very glad to keep the promises to the Senate and to the Ivernian Peoples with this project.''

SCHOOLS ATTACKED IN IVERNIAN HIMYAR
Schools in the south of the Kingdom of Chósta tSolais have been subject to a number of attacks!

Preliminary reports from the Low Kingdoms state that the attacks were very sudden, where large groups of people seemed to ransack the Schools destroying furniture, books and windows. Up to 12 teachers and general staff are said to have been injured, though none in critical condition. Eyewitness accounts state that the people were entirely male Native Himyari.
''This is clearly a retaliation for the Ivernish Government continuing to educate their young. These people are strongly against interference in their way of life, even if that way of life is an extremely primitive one.''

UPRISING IN SAAREMAA
An attempt to bring ''Statocracy'' into Saaremaa through force!

It has been verified that a military coup is being attempted in Saaremaa in order to bring in a system of governance called ''Statocracy.'' Statocracy, according to experts is believed to be a form of soft dictatorship.
''A lot of bashing of current forms of governance were in the declaration of state from the generals of Saaremaa,'' Ryan Gosling, a Professor on Political Science writes, ''But not a lot of talk on Statocracy itself. Except of course to enlighten us all about how now they will be free of corruption forever. Corruption is inherent to mankind and making the military also the decision makers will only make the corruption more dangerous.
I'm not surprised that the signers were all Generals, at the base of it, this is a power grab. Dressed up in revolutionary speech sure, but it's not something that Europe should ignore.''

Members of the Senate of Ivernia have stated that they ''Do not recognise the new form of government, and we call for a democratic vote on whether or not this new junta is actually wanted by the people of Saaremaa. Otherwise they shall never enjoy recognition from this High Kingdom.''


ROYALS FLEE TO IVERNIA
The Saaremaa Royal Family has found refuge in the High Kingdom!

The King of Saaremaa Alvar VI has left with his Royal family to sanctuary in the High Kingdom of Ivernia. The High King Felix Ua Néill has stated that ''The Royal Family of Saaremaa shall be interned, for the moment, within Tara Castle as guests of the High Kingdom.The Saaremaa Royal Family shall remain guests until such a time they feel that they can safely return to Saaremaa.''
The Senate has stated that the state-owned Veridian Manor shall be re-opened and renovated to house the royals. Located just outside Alderburgh, the Veridian Manor served as the embassy for Saaremaa until it closed to move the Ambassador to a building in the city centre.

The Senate of Ivernia has thoroughly condemned this recent wave of terrorist attacks in Bogenhem. Several Senators stated that there was something ''fundamentally wrong'' with the ruling system ''as order simply cannot be maintained. This, the Realm of the Great and the Little Danes, does not believe that the High Kingdom is posited in a region of the most unstable, but it is recognised that it does exist in a region that is fractious.

The High Kingdom is a shining light of virtue in the High North matched by none other. I can only pray that this long should continue.

The Realm is of such a considerance and respect of the moderacy and level-headedness of the High Kingdom that a formalised treaty of mutual defence is offered between the Empire and High Kingdom as well as conducive arrangements permitting military-orientated procurements to be opened for the benefit of the Ivernian nation.

We in the Mezhist Union give our deepest sympathies and support to the great and noble High Kingdom of Ivernia. In these times where your peaceful nation is surrounded by instances of terrorism and violent uprisings, it has become clear to us that our Ivernish friends have taken the right step in preparing themselves for their own protection. The Halls of Giecz have decided to give as much aid as possible, especially since our staunch allies the Great Danes have already made the first step. We offer our assistance in the formulation of a mutual defence pact, and the allotment of other resources that could be provided to the Ivernish military post-haste.

Additionally, we humbly suggest our inclusion in the offered meeting with the Great Danes, in order for us to be able to properly coordinate the development of any such arrangements.

CORPORATION TAX IN IVERNIA TO BE LOWERED
The Corporation Tax in Ivernia is to drop from 21.5% to 12.5%

With Ivernia's economy entering a small recession due to the end of northern trade the Centrist Peoples Party (majority party in the Ivernish Senate) have declared 'innovative methods at economic revival' for the High Kingdom. Avoiding as much as possible using a route of austerity, which only seemed to do more damage than needed in Ivernia's past leading to some of the largest mass emigrations in it's history. The Senate today has declared one of it's steps is to slash the Corporation Tax to lure in new businesses and attract the new breed of ''Multinational Corporations'' from around the world. It is hoped that while the State may get less of a cut from each Corporation, the rise in number of Corps HQ'ing here would make up, and the large increase in jobs will help unemployment and bring fresh foreign money into the domestic market.


A SONG FOR EUROPE
A contest to be held in Vedrarfjord to decide to will represent Ivernia in the Eurovision

In Vedrarfjord tonight the nation shall vote on which act shall represent Ivernia in the Eurovision Contest. The show will be shown on RTÍ at 7pm and voting can be done on Ívercom Telephone landlines and the number will be given out during the show.
Opinions are divided on which performance will win as no set has garnered any specific following. It could be seen they are keeping their songs for the contest. The Eurovision is an exciting time for Ivernish as the ratings media agency stated that ''Anyone with a TV or radio was watching it when it happened. The Ivernish certainly are a musical crowd. But whether or not Ivernish music will find an ear at the Eurovision remains to be seen.''


IVERNIA RETURNS TO THE SEAS
Ivernia makes a domestic and international call!

Following a recent string of military expansions it has been decided by the Department of Defence to outsource much of the Navy purchases to avail of the high quality resources of the world. With an increase of deep sea ships and even some demand for miniature aircraft carriers within the Navy to maximise it's performance.

A new day for Ivernia as southern trade proves safe and reliable!

Following one of the worst winter and spring in Gothic history Ivernish businesses have seen to have lost all hope and trust in the Northern nations and any chance of trade. The trade embargo on Saaremaa was seen as the final nail in the coffin as only Arendaal and Ostveg seem to have a grip on democracy. As such trade routes with the south, especially Franken have been expended upon over the past few months and now eclipse the former great northern sea routes of old. Ivernia's peaceful sea faring days might be on their last legs as land transport down around Germania proves a stable, safe and fruitful business venture.

AODH-MÓR PIPELINE PROTESTED
Himyari Farmers unite to protest Aodh-Mór Electric Company!
Native Himyari Farmers are protesting a proposed oil pipeline that would connect the planned offshore oil platforms off the Himyari Coast to the mainland. The main pipeline plan, which connects in the southern tail of Ivernian Himyar has been released to the public and has received very negative response from local native farmers who the pipeline ''either cuts right through'' or ''is far too close for comfort.''
With some protests at the Aodh-Mór Corporate Himyar HQ already garnering some break ups by the Gardaí, mostly for protesting late into the night which disrupted residents and disturbing traffic.
The Aodh-Mór Electric Company has stated ''We take all issues from all members of this High Kingdom very seriously and we will be looking into meeting with the Himyari Farmers Union to working out a fair deal.''

THE COMMONWEALTH IS BORN
The colonies of Argatír and Chósta na tSolais have united!


Following recent elections held in Lowever - Argatír and Chósta na tSolais the election results have shown a majority vote for the combining of the two colonies into a new system of governance within the High Kingdom of Ivernia. This new system is to be called the ''Ivernish Himyari Commonwealth'' (IHC) and will combine the two Lowever senate wings into one block, and combine the two nations into one.
Following a recent referendum, one raised by the majority party in both colonies the Himyari Christian Democrats, who have always advocated for a united Himyari nation, it has seemed that their vision was shared by the people of this region as a vote of 72% voted yes to the unification.
This yes vote comes after over 6 months of hard campaigning from both the yes side and the no side which at some times became quite volatile. As is standard in the High Kingdom of Ivernia, any changes to the constitution must be voted upon by the population, and so the Senate of Ivernia agreed upon holding an election in both the Himyari Kingdoms to decide their fate.
Members of the Himyari Christian Democrats have hailed it as ''A great day for our two nations, for Himyar and yes even for Ivernia as a whole. With greater autonomy will give our nation more room to grow and be a larger contributing, equal partner for the High Kingdom.''
Across the new Commonwealth street parties have broken out to celebrate the new union and the Gardaí have warned the celebrators to please be careful and drink responsibly. The High King of Ivernia, Felix Ua Neill is expected to visit the new Ivernish Himyari Commonwealth in the coming days to congratulate their new union within the High union.

SAAREMAA SOFTENS
Vainos has been elected and brought sweeping reform!
In Saaremaa the first of the ''elections'' were held by the military were held, and in a surprise ballot it was a man known as Vainos who clinched the rule of the Statocratic Saaremaa with a massive majority. Even more surprisingly was the sweeping away of some of the more undesirable details of Saaremaa's statocratic dream, most prominent was the removal of the right to vote arising from military service. A rule that the world - but particularly Ivernia - was vocally critical about.
The Senate has declared the the right to vote achieved from a High School Diploma was ''More in line with the norms of other civilised nations'' and declared ''Saaremaa is taking steps in the right direction.''
The Senate of Ivernia stated that ''whichever Government would come from this newer, fairer system of voting would achieve full recognition from the High Kingdom of Ivernia.'' At this time the relations between the two nations are expected to soften, and people in northern Formoria can breathe easier.


DANMARK POLARISES OPINIONS
Danmarks mass awarding of meritorious badges causes confusion!
Following Danmarks handing out meritorious honours across the fascist nations like pieces of candy has left the Ivernish Senate in a state of confusion to what Danmark expects of it's long standing relations with other nations, or what kind of message it sends to the world when it hands a badge of honour to a fascist.

Silvio Mac Brady had a moment in chair in Nemedia House, the seat of the Senate of Ivernia.
''Fellow Ivernians, I know we are all quite confused by the actions of our southern nordic neighbour, Danmark. While professing to be leading us into a new world of peace and ''Civilisation'', it is also reaching around Ivernia's back? In Ivernia's own region the Gothic Sea Danmark has been passing out Honours of Chivalry and Merit to the fasicist nations of our region. Badges of Merit, to fascists.
I do not need to remind you that not days after Ivernia made Saaremaa know in no small measure that we would not support their military coup - that Danmark most certainly did. For reasons of pity. These actions undermine Ivernia. They undermine us in our own region. While nations in our region such as the Republic of Frescania hope only to assist us and aide us in the path to stabilisation, Danmark has left us quite puzzled. Is he shaking Ivernia's hand and passing badges to those we do not recognise? It is seeming so. The Fennian Union is one matter, while Ivernia has cool relations with them, it hardly as publicized as the Iverno-Saaremaa debacle which put our two nations almost at a standoff. And lo and behold! Danmark appears to not only hand an award to a fascist dictatorship, but also to the former King Alvar! This kind of double-sided action breeds conflict in the minds of their allies. I believe the best plan of action for Danmark now is to simply refrain from the North. Refrain from the Gothic Sea. The supporting of military junta on Ivernia's front door will not be tolerated.''

CANTIGNIA FOOTBALL COMPETITION COMES ONCE AGAIN
The One World Series of Football has come once again!
Meath FC. has once again qualified for the One World Series of Football held annually in Cantignia. The footballers did quite well in Cantignia last year and have been quoted as ''Hoping to improve on our efforts from last year.'' While football - in the associated football sense - is not a very popular sport on an amateur or professional level in Ivernia the One World Series of Football always seems to draw a large Ivernish TV and Radio audience. RTÍ (Raidió Teilifís na hÍvernia) has said that it could most likely be put down to the sheer number of teams from all around the world being the only chance most rural Ivernish would have to see the people from these nations.


THE RUGBY LEAGUE HAS ENDED
The Aodh-Mór Rugby League and so the Rugby Tournament is about to begin!
Following the end of the last games last week, and the closing ceremony of the Aodh-Mór Cup league this weekend, the Aodh-Mór Cup league can officialy be put to an end. However while all teams who placed first or second in their Pool shall recieve Rugby Laegue Cup medals, that was not the crux of this event.
The Top two teams from each pool shall be entered into the Aodh-Mór Rugby Tournament for the highest prize in Professional Club Rugby - The Aodh-Mór Cup. The Ivernish Rugby Union has stated that the tournament brackets for the Tournament shall be posted soon but the clubs are expected a small break before the next stage goes underway.

Here were the final results for the Aodh-Mór Cup League. Thank you to all who particapated and a hearty congratualtions to those who are going home today with a medal and a chance at the cup.

We are saddened to understand that the bestowal of state honours should be cause for concern for own of our closer allies.

Contrary to questions raised, I must point out that honours, which can be refused, are conferred to many leaders from various walks of life. Indeed, only last week, the President of Frescania was awarded for Services to Statesmanship. I am hardly of the impression that Frescania can be entitled a 'fascist nation'.

Regards Saaremaa, this is a more complex issue designed on two levels. One, to recognise the statecraft and relative accord with which the revolutionary changes there have been handled with consequences that, in other regards, could have been abysmally cataclysmic for all concerned not just for the people of that country but also for the local powers, yours included. Two, the award to desposed monarch, Alvar VI, was largely a recognition of his heritage, links to the Danish royal family, his person and also a valediction. It is, afterall, unlikely he will ever live to retake the throne and whatever changes have occured in Saaremaa, we have long memories and do not forget all that come to pass into the annals of history and potency. Some may prefer the more graspable concepts of black and white obviousness, this should never be and sometimes delicacy, always intricacy is a better approach, at least to ourselves.

Policy towards the new regime was based on the concept of stratocracy being a containable political and ideological phenomenon. If it had had the potential to be something much greater, than policy would have likely have been quite different as it would have had a potence far outside its own borders and pose a challenge to both our nations, monarchies.

We also believe in not choking the life out of the new regime and instead, seeking to assist it. It can not be good for one nation to be choked due to its regime and whatever is often said, or beneath the gloss, there are often avenues for greater practicality than merely slamming the door shut. Indeed, our policy has born fruits and the new government has proven far more enlightened than originally feared. No doubt you are aware of the more interesting aspects to the new Seven Year Plan.

I know for sure, that relations between our two kingdoms shall remain positive, even if not seeing eye-to-eye ~ unrealistic and wrong for it to be any other way ~ I can communicate that it was not even a consideration to countenance an upset.

We hope this more detailed explanation reaches you in intellectual agreement.

The High Kingdom would like to remind the Kingdom of Danmark, that at the time of the conception of the nation of Statocratic Saaremaa, one of it's founding tenants was the complete restriction of the right to vote to it's military and those who served in the military for a state time.

The High Kingdom of Ivernia found this ideology abhorrent, anti-democratic and refused to recognise. Most of the world agreed with the Ivernish stance and so, in recent times we are seeing a softening of Saaremaan policy under the guiding hand of the elected ''General Vainos.'' A man who would rekindle Iverno-Saaremaan relationships.

Where the world stood somewhat united it was Danmark who bucked the trend, and stood toe to toe with Dictatorships such as the Fennian Union. A slap in the face for your ally.
Not days after Ivernia let the world know of it's decision, to harm it's own economy greatly to send a message by lowering and stopping trade routes between the nations - nations that had stood together for many centuries - and Danmark offers awards and medals.

Saaremaa has progressed towards a more civilised nation, but only from the united approach of refusal to accept their original ideology. Danmark's approach of ''gently, gently'' was not seen to be in Ivernia's interests at all at the time, and was not instrumental in the changes that occurred.

The High Kingdom of Ivernia is not of the opinion that handling pretigious awards to nations such as Frescania days after handing awards to nations such as the Revolutionary Un-Reformed Stage of the New Saaremaa washes the hands clean. In fact it worsens the confusion, as Frescania was also directly opposed to the Un-Reformed Saaremaa. When awards are handed out so quickly to every side of the fence they tend to lose their significance.

Ivernia would simply like Danmark to being a new reform to the relations of our nations of old. The next time a nation in Scania goes through a ''Great Revolution'' (and there will be a next time) this High Kingdom would like to be addressed by the Great Danish Kingdom for Ivernish advice before it acts. As such, we can then always act as a united front in this region, and the High Kingdom and the Danish Kingdom can return to normal relations as allies as we have enjoyed for over a century.

JOHANN RUDOLPHUS WINS!
Johann Rudolphus has won the Chess Tourney is Siyang, Touzen!

Johann Rudolphus, known as the Father of modern Ivernish Chess - has just become the winner of the Siyang Chess Classic 1953. Defeating the Upper Swieczieman Ewa Krasinska also known as the ''Ice Queen.''
Considering that Ewa Krasinska defeated Johann earlier in the tournament (Even if only by a slim victory) hopes were not extremely high that the semi retired Chess Grand Master could manage to pull it off. Those doubts were dashed when Rudolphus took home the gold for this contest.
The other entree - John McLoughlin also proved to be a formidableopponent and went much father than was expected for a newcomer. Professor John MacLoughlin has really made a name for himself internationally in the tourney by reaching the quarter finals showing that Ivernish Chess has a bright future as well as a golden past.


CRISES IN CANTIGNIA? PROBLEMS FROM POTENZA?
A ceasefire has been declared by the Cantignian military!
The Grand Duchy might have just acted without due course in this crises!

Following an act of great compassion in the face of a direct order from a superior to commit atrocities - the Officers of the Cantigian military have executed their director Lord Cyrus Tuskvale and proposed a ceasefire.

In a shock move it seems the the Grand Duchy of Potenza has forgotten the rule of Sovereign Territory - as it seems to have used the Cantigian Crises as a smokescreen to invade Cantigian Territory with armed soldiers to kidnap a Bishop Alveiro Muzzoni, from Solaren.
According to sources the Bishop Muzzoni was bound and bagged and brought away in the Potenzan Navy ships sent to Cantignia (At the allowance and grace of the Friendly Confines) and used there position and Cantignia's vulnerability to enact this mission.

If there news sources are true - pending an investigation by Cantigian Authorities - the Grand Duchy of Potenza may just receive condemnation from the Senate of the High Kingdom of Ivernia.

The CTA would like to respectfully correct the Ivernian Newspaper to clear the name of Commander Clarence Campbell, who was and remains the director of the Cantigian National Military. Lord Cyrus Tuskvale commandeered a marine regiment unlawfully, separating himself distinctly from the "Cantigian Military". For this reason, until a proper investigation is conducted, the Colonels and Riflemen who served illegally under Lord Tuskvale have been suspended of their rank and removed from active service despite our preliminary support for denying the order to massacre New Dulwich.

At this time, concerning the Bishop Muzzoni incident, the elected authority here in Cantignia is not prepared to make a decisive statement on the Grand Duchy of Potenza's bold action against Alviero Muzzoni in the Cantigian Province of Concordia. A terrorist group known as the New Mezhist's bombed 44 Carpenter's Street!

The Garda Siochana has officially announced that the location where the strange radio broadcast came out of has been found and they have stated that there is strong evidence that whoever made the radio broadcast was also responsible for the bombing of 44 Carpenter's Street, Portsiar, where 28 people and 10 communists were killed in a violent terrorist bombing.

The New Mezhist Radio broadcaster announced further terrorist acts unless ''The people come to their senses and throw off their shackles and fight the communist terror.''

Garda Siochana Estria has pushed the Estrian Senate for a curfew until panic has settled and peace has returned however this request was denied on the grounds of ''An already fragile economy not needing another kick in the teeth like a curfew. The terrorists shall not win and we Estrian's shall not buckle or bend.''

In order to distance themselves from these recent bombings the official ''Mezhist Party'' shall be holding a press conference in Portsiar in a matter of days. It is believed they will completely condemn the act of terrorism and any act of violence.

The Communist Party of Ivernia was not able to be reached for a comment.
