NEWS LEVEL: RED (PIRAMIDA) The evening sky was lit up as an exchange of short-range land based missiles were exchanged across the sea between forces in the Rikord Archipelago and those in the Kremlyov Command. The early morning hours resulted in the sounds of air raid sirens going off across the archipelago as the air defense of the islands engaged incoming missiles. Military forces claim to have shot down the vast majority of incoming missiles with three explosions being reported in Piramida. The locations have been identified as a small civilian port for private small vessels, another an industrial district in the heart of the city, and the last an open field some kilometers outside of the city boundary. The military has not divulged at this time how successful their own attack upon Kremlyov was or what their designated targets consisted of. The possibility of success is questionable as Kremlyov is considered an impenetrable air defense bastion as the Empire has long had focus on its aerial denial capabilities, which currently explains the lack of fighter and bomber activity by either side currently as neither wishes to take the risks given the air defense capabilities.

NEWS LEVEL: GREEN (Valls) President of the Government, señor Manuel Vargas Gomez, has announced that the Ebrian Crown will participate in any European Forum White Helm action, and the Catholic and Royal Army is even at this moment preparing a provisional brigade to be deployed at the request of the EF, under the command of Colonel Pablo Hernández. As part of the signed decree regarding it, the Ebrian government promised that it will reopen the border with Csengia, but only if the Ebrian border guards are doubled by White Helms from the EF, especially from third party nations.​

NEWS LEVEL: RED (EDESSA) A fishing trawler carrying illegal migrants has reportedly sunk off the coast of Pelasgia, near Edessa. According to reports, the trawler was carrying over 200 persons, at least 79 of whom are presumed dead. The vessel was bound for Pelasgia and seems to have departed from Serbovian-occupied Thrakia. The ship's captain allegedly refused multiple offers of help from the Imperial Coast Guard, and had turned off his transponder. Rescue efforts are underway and an inquiry will be launched. Currently, Imperial Gendarmerie are not allowing international aid organisations and NGOs access to the area.​

NEWS LEVEL: GREEN (Callao) Tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets of Callao as the Torrientes have returned back home, eliminated from the tournament and with one man missing, to welcome them back. The Rheinish analytical, precise fútbol initially stymied the more rhythmic, flowing dance that characterized Josefino style, but by halftime it seemed as though Los Tricolores had understood what was needed, and began overwhelming their opponents with two back-to-back goals that brought them a comfortable victory. During the match, they had added a new patch to their uniforms: the number of the late Correntino goalkeeper Fabio Gomez in the colors of Los Torrientes, and it seemed to give them some motivation in the match. Coach Xavier Santander explained that "we shall, for the remainder of this tournament, wear Compañero Gomez' number in memory of his fantastic sportsmanship, and to honor the Correntinos who we had the greatest honor to face in the first round."

Hotels have reported being overbooked with reservations and attempting to shut down attempts by legitimate guests to overcrowd their rooms with "fútbol squatters," while street intersections have turned into parking lots due to unprecedented traffic. Mayor Sebastián Prats of Costa Ron has officially called for assistance in the form of advisors and aides from the city of Palmira who, thus far, has managed the swell of crowds effectively overall, leading some detractors of the Josefino politician to denounce him as "completely incompetent, unable to be anything more than El Presidente con Descuento."

The faint sparked a panic in the Herrera family and the presidential administration, as it was also known that señora Marissa suffers from breast cancer which just made a return too, promising to take it easier and not exhaust herself. The presidenta is set to remain in the hospital under close medical care. The question of the continuation of her political career has been called up again, with many stating that she should leave it to Vice-President Julio Moreno, for the next weeks until the elections.​

NEWS LEVEL: GREEN (COSTA RON) San José's Los Tricolores have secured victory through a draw, and therefore advancement into the semi-finals of the Copa Mundial, over the Rheinbunder national team. Throughout the game, San José's strategy was domination of possession, keep-away, and delay, whittling away as much time as possible while preventing the Rheinbunders from setting up any sort of sustained offense that could bring them a decisive victory. The Josefinos scored in the first half, but a desperate Rheinbunder team was able to counter with a tying goal to keep the game interesting. Their efficiency, however, could not catch the "salsafútbol" of Los Tricolores, and a jubilant San José eagerly awaits the next match against the Lannisters of @Radilo, statistically the weakest opponent the Josefinos have yet faced but nonetheless effective fútbol players in their own right.

The underrated Lannisters have consistently outperformed this tournament, if only barely and with a fair bit of luck. Striker Luigi Rapone (unrelated to the Federation player of the same name) knocked in the winning goal, at which point the stadium in Rio Verde Corrientes, which has been serving as the Lannisters home base during the Copa Mundial, erruped in cheers. The stadium was at maximum capacity, with 60,000, mostly Radilans and Corrientes of Radilan heritage, in attendance. It is helpful to remember that there are more ethnic Radilans in Corrientes than there are in Radilo. This is the first time that the Lannisters are going to the Copa Mundial semifinals since they acquired that, now somewhat outdated, nickname in 2011. While many outside of the Republic find the reference eye-rolling, it is still a popular nickname for the team within Radilo. When reached for comment, Head Coach Edmondo Femia was his usual nonchalant self: "two more rounds to go," was all he said, albeit with a noticeable smirk. The ministry announced that the budget of the Catholic and Royal Armed Forces will be increased by 30%, much of the increase going into the aquisition budget, and raising the total defence budget of the army to a 5.5% of the GDP.​

Team Captain Rodrigo Leon Avila secured the game-winning, and only, goal of the match in the 60th minute, breaking through a stubborn Radillan defense that had managed to stymie the Josefino "salsafútbol" to that point. Coach Xavier Santander, in a post-game press conference, remarked , "the Radilans had done their homework. It's a reminder to us that, although we are talented, we must never take the opponent for granted, especially this late in the tournament, and we must treat them as we treated our rivals in the first round."

NEWS LEVEL: RED (Valls) Catholic and Royal Navy patrol boat suffered catastrophic damage after hitting a mine in the Bonaventura Bay, in the economic exclusion zone of Ebria, 80 kilometres to the north-East of Shaumburg, 30 km south of the Isla de Santa Marta and 60 km west of Vrijpoort. The 28 ton, Aresa Class patrol boat, named P-101, has been hit by a mine layed on the Bonaventura Bay. The Ebrian authorities have started a search and rescue operation for the 5 man crew. The government is expected to release a statement soon.​

NEWS LEVEL: RED (DHEKELIA) The Royal Pelasgian Armed Forces have been raised to "maximal alert status," following the sinking of an Ebrian vessel by Tarusan naval mines. Pelasgia is bound to Ebria in a defensive alliance, and there are concerns that a hot conflict between Ebria and any of the Tarusan factions could draw Pelasgia in. The Pelasgian military has been conducting readiness drills for a while, but it now appears that Dhekelia is preparing for the possibility of a full-on conflict, including recalling reservists and retaining conscripts who would have normally been discharged at the end of their mandated service.​

NEWS LEVEL: YELLOW (Valls) The Csengian Patriotic Council, calling itself the government in exile of the Independent State of Csengia, has issued their proclamation, calling for the liberation of Csengia from the reign of Queen Erzsebet Szabina and her husband, Konstantin Kiselev, pretender to the Tarusan throne. Contrary to the expectations of many western pundits, which hoped for a liberal approach and expected a call to a popular uprising, the Council went for a more conservative approaching, announcing that their goal is a fully independent Csengia which will be ruled by an elective monarchy, a reminiscence of the old, medieval Apostolic Kingdom of Csengia. They called for Catholics, traditionalists and militarists to join them and went as far as to call the current Tarusan Civil War a genocide against Csengians, which are used as cannon fodder by Konstantin the pretender.​

(LEXKIRK) With backing from other figureheads of the Thaumantic Order this afternoon the President of the Engwahl, Linc Yeovil, declared that the Thaumantic Commune nations have endorsed the Csengian Patriotic Council as the rightful authority to the embattled region. "After careful consideration of the many competing claimants to Csengia," Yeovil orated before a quorum of the Summer Thaumantic Spiritual Vision Conference, "we desire to have Catholic partners in Csengia who love Csengia because they are Csengian and understand the roots of their own communal order." Almskeeper Pherson, leader of the Order & Quorum, later backed Yeovil's endorsement stating "we desire that all small nations might be free!"

NEWS LEVEL: YELLOW (Valls) The European Forum has unanimously voted to deploy the White Helms in both Ebria and Rheinbund, along the border of Csengia, to protect the two nations from the potential spill over of violence from the Tarusan Civil War, with the Konstantinist camp being headquartered in Csengia. The Crown of Ebria applauded the quick response of both the Federation of Westernesse and the Thaumantican Commons to bring soldiers into the White Helm initiative, and will join in with 3,500 of it's own soldiers on a volunteer basis, with 500 going to the Ebrian border and 3,000 to the Rheinbunder border. With this, the Ministry of External Affairs also stated that it will keep its promise and begin preparations for the opening of the Ebrian-Csengian border.​

NEWS LEVEL: RED (DHEKELIA) The Government of Pelasgia has recognised the Csengian Patriotic Council and the Internal Thrakian Revolutionary Organization (ITRO) as the legitimate national governments of Csengia and Thrakia, respectively. This follows the avowed support of @Ebria to the Csengian government-in-exile. Rumours abound about the support of Pelasgian authorities for the ITRO's activities in the neighbouring country, which is under Serbovian occupation, and about possible efforts for further international recognition with Pelasgian support.​

NEWS LEVEL: ORANGE (Valls) The CNT and UGT, biggest federations of trade unions in the country have announced that starting Monday, they will both begin a general strike should the government not sign a memorandum which will promise to rule out the adoption of a state of emergency, should the Buenaventura Bay crisis escalate. Supporters of the idea, called Memorandistas, claim that Ebria should be a beacon of democracy and see the state of emergency as a proclamation of a de facto dictatorship. The detractors, which call themselves Constitucionalistas, state that the constitution must be followed and should there be an escalation of tension, only a state of emergency can be effective into pulling the nation out of the crisis. Currently, Manuel Vargas Gomez, the president of the government, has announced that he will be a staunch constitutionalist, and will not refrain from proclaiming the state of emergency, should the situation request it. More than 60% of the workers of Ebria are members of the CNT and UGT and it is believed that such a strike might paralyse the nation.​
