National Assembly Votes Yes on Referendum Zero, Presidium Vetoes
The Presidium of the National Assembly invoked it's Veto power today when it denied the National Assembly the power to remove the term limitation from the office of Presidency as well as increase Presidential powers. To counter the unsavory sentiment from this unpopular action, the Presidium announced today that "The Madame President wishes to execute a plan of democratic reform. Legalizing democratic dictatorship is not going to accomplish true democracy."
Madame President Marjhan Visariya has not commented on the Presidium's action, and the executive office seems more concerned with matters involving Northern Sinhai.
Other referenda are being distributed through citizen council's throughout the nation, with several approaching the required number of signatories. Among these referenda are the legalization of private gun ownership, which includes civilian-grade military hardware, the legalization of prostitution, and the legalization, nationalization, and expansion of Sinhai's opium and cocaine industry.

SDF Assaults Sai Yok, PIP Collapsed 2 Weeks Prior
The SDF today launched it's assault on the communist stronghold of Sai Yok, deploying over two thousand troops in the operation in an attempt to secure strategic locations throughout the city, including Sai Yok Regional Airport, Sai Yok Central Station, and the Commerce District.
Initial reports from refugees and deserters suggest that the PIP regime collapsed nearly two weeks ago, and that the government was just a facade for anarchy. In the wake of the regimes collapse, various moderate factions have attempted to establish an interim regime for the proto-government, and the Unity Party has begun negotiations with these minority parties in order to find some sort of common ground to end the conflict.
Despite talks with moderate parties, remnants of the extremist Communist regime have begun systematically terrorizing the Northern Sinese countryside, with several murders having been committed. Several insurgents within Southern Sinhai have surrendered themselves to the government and have been offered amnesty in return for information regarding their radical brothers, whose appalling actions and the instability and failure of Sinese communism the likely reason for their change of heart.

Unity Party Creates Humanitarian Drive Nicknamed "Save the North"
The Unity Front has established a humanitarian drive to distribute goods such as food, water, clothing, money, medicine, and other vital necessities to our Northern Sinese brothers in the wake of the disaster that was Sinese Communism. Citizens throughout the nation are being encouraged to donate, and Madame President Marjhan has stated: "It is our duty as citizens to do everything we can to honor our families, to support our community, and to serve our state. In these changing times, Sinhai has an opportunity to stand united as one. One State, One Soul. Give to your fellow Sinese, citizen or not, as you would give to God."
Citizens may contribute to the humanitarian effort at their citizen councils, or at local government offices. Resident contributions will be noted in any future applications for citizenship.
