I don't have time atm to change the national page, but take a look at this old page of mine, there is that red strip which would be removed eventually, but this is more or less the exact template of the provinces. But the codes are not easy on the eyes.

But Coro if you can get the template better, why don't you, since I'm not an HTML programmer there are limits to what I can do. Whenever I attempted to fix the nation infobox I found much to my dismay that to get the wikipedia look, it is not a straightforward process.

I won't campaign for the job. If asked, I'll take the job. I only have one piece of real work that I've coded by myself in the wiki, and that is the page to [wiki]Østveg[/wiki]. ( )

There I was able to get all the lines to match, get the text to cooperate and give what I felt was a strong match to say the Canadian page on wikipedia.org. I don't put out a lot of wikipedia content, but when I do make content my goal to is not commit wiki heresy. That said, I'm not sure if I'm a good match for the job. As said, I don't make a lot of content. It's not a shining example for wiki activity. I just make sure what I do is coded well and cleanly so others can follow.

Actually, I did try another thing, where I tired to make a page for a person:

I tried quite hard to get that to match to wiki specs as well.

...Honestly, if I were to campaign for a job, it would be something like image moderation. I would much rather we threw out the greasemonkey code and let an image moderation team make sure copyright violations don't occur. This would encourage picture usage and make the forum easier to look at for those who visit it. ...and in doing so would require a new citation system for those of us that post pictures. Greasemonkey is one of those things that new people really don't want to deal with. They just want to join, play and see pictures. Not to mention the code is stupid in how posting a url to a picture even causes it to want to be displayed.

That said Belmont, I think you ought to have a role in future wiki-moderation. You seem passionate about it. I'd just like to see your coding improve if that is the case. Perhaps something I can help you with if I see problems.

Couldn't agree more about it. Though perhaps some way of allowing people to use photobucket links but have the forum be absolved of responsibility?

I'd be uber grateful :) Here's to hoping I get picked. *fingers crossed*

Yeah, there's no reason the wiki mod shouldn't be working towards bringing national wikis under a refined template.

We still haven't received any volunteers for the recruiting/retainer mod. I understand it's not quite as glorious as being a warmod, but consider how important this role will be to filling the forum and the game with more players in the future. Out of all of these, I actually think this will be the most important mod.

I expressed interest. Especially interested if that's the case.

If you are interested then please follow the instructions from the first post in this thread. A large part of moderating is reading and understanding what other people have written.

Officially throwing my hat in the ring for the Recruitment & Orienteering Mod position.

As interesting as I found that position, I think Carentania would be brilliant at that job. I support this also. :p :p

Well, ehm, Carentania, you just indicated in the Absence Thread that your activity on the forum will be sporadic in the upcoming time. I don't know if I'm in the position to give my opinion on this, but I doubt whether you could properly fulfil your mod-duties if you would be at the forum only sporadicly.
