Just a quick note (as mentioned last time), that my capital, Rozhyndove, is on the coast and not in the interior like Aresura was.

In any case, I apologize for my absence and I'll get back into the swing of things now.

I realize some of these people are on the inactivity hitlist. Those members with * are being monitored actively, those without it should just know I'd like to see some RP and am frustrated that they're wasting space. If any of those with * posted their inactivity in the inactivity thread, notify me and I'll take the * off. Baden-Mecklemburg and Drakun Imperium, as returned oldfags, are being given a small lenience period before * is added. (Drakun much more so than B-M)

Fool, no one cares if you are frustrated. Hajr ain't on no hitlist, he's an Admin. Kyiv, Vistrasia, and Kryo are some serious oldfags who linger to RP or not. Vistrasia recently damn near organized the entire Western Great War himself, and you'll see that both Kyro and Kyiv have been on the forum and made posts recently.

I'm not going to go deleting Kryo, Kyiv, yadda. I'm listing them to shame them for not RPing more. The tactic of naming for shame is sometimes an effective way of motivating people. This way, new players can look at a list and go "oh, those guys are not really around" instead of "oh, a spot next to them would be good, lots of RP!". The newfags listed or ones no ones heard of are actually threatened here. It's unfair that mapmakers should put members such as EDF states on the inactivity hitlist, while obviously chronic inactive users are left alone because they're on the IRC with regularity. No RP and you get named. Leniency considering past contributions. This is not me venting my frustration, it's me doing my job as a mapmaker.

It is precisely you venting your frustration: putting longstanding members of the community on a "hitlist" is in quite a statement, and that has nothing to do with your job as mapmaker. You know you cannot green them from the map, so you are taking a jab, a controversial statement, so do not try to take a moral high ground from down in the mud with me.

Fine, oldfags have been taken off the list, all others are expected to RP before being eliminated. I'm not sure Talemantros post in inactivity thread, which mentioned a brief inactivity, will continue applying after mid-February, but as spots on N. Himyar are not in real high demand he won't be purged pronto. Also, Kyiv has not posted RP recently (as in January). Neither has Kryo. Neither has Hajr. However, all three of these people found the time to post in the Arab Spring thread today. Yes, they're still contributing members of the forum. But while many members of the forum, even the oldfag "inactive" EDF members, can muster the time to at least respond to the Rethinking Our Map thread neither of these three do, save for questions about how the thread actually started (Kyiv).

Yes, I understand privileges, any good country supports its retirees. But if you're going to control as much land as you do (each of the three holds as much "pixels" as three other countries alone, though perhaps only Kryo's is actually desirable) you could at least be contributing to RP OOCly.

Well a short post in the Arab Spring thread is a bit different from a RP post which usually takes a bit more work into it, though admittedly I've been lurking around a bit. Newspost is coming up today and probably some contributions to OOC RP matters (I just looove those) are coming up as well.

You can also cut Drakun. He has stated he's not coming back.

If this is true, I'd like to claim his spot. Even if protocol is strictly observed, this spot should be open as of early March unless I missed something. I'm fine with waiting. Don't know if makes any difference where protocol is concerned, but like I said waiting is not an issue as I've got nothing but time. I don't plan on Daracnia being stable enough to get involved with neighbors for at least that long.

Location: Drakun Imperium's current spot. If he comes back before that can happen, E:2.
Name: Daracnia
Capital: Greycastle; right where the "R" in "Imperium" is currently (aka smack dab in the middle of whatever plot I get. EDIT: just make sure it isn't coastal)
