I am honored to address you today as the newly appointed Chancellor of the Republic of Ostmark. I am aware of the great responsibility and I thank you for the trust that you will place in me and in my government.

I would like to begin this speech by paying tribute to one of the fathers of our modern democracy: Walter Eidman. Chancellor Eidman was a man of vision, integrity, and compassion. He dedicated his life to serving our country and its people, and his leadership inspired us all. He brought us together in times of crisis, and he gave voice to the voiceless. He was a champion of democracy, human rights, and social justice, and his legacy will continue to guide us as we face the challenges of the future.

We will miss his wisdom, his kindness, and his unwavering commitment to our nation. But we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on in all of us, and that his legacy will continue to inspire us to strive for a better world. And now, as we bid farewell to Chancellor Eidman, we must turn our attention to the future. It is my honor to stand before you today as his successor, and to continue the work that he began.

As your new Chancellor, I pledge to uphold the values that Chancellor Eidman held dear. I will work tirelessly to continue to build a more just, equitable, and prosperous society for all Ostmarkians. I will listen to your voices, your concerns, and your aspirations, and I will work with you to build a brighter future for our nation.

We face many challenges ahead, but I am confident that together, we can overcome them. We must continue to defend our democratic institutions, our freedoms, and our values. We must continue to prevent discrimination, inequality, and injustice. And we must continue to work towards a more sustainable, peaceful, and prosperous Ostmark.

I invite you all to join me in this journey. Let us work together to build a better future for ourselves, our children, and for generations to come. Let us honor Chancellor Eidman's memory by carrying on his legacy, and by creating a brighter, more hopeful future for our nation.

Our history teaches us that peace and democracy are never taken for granted, but must be defended every day with resilience and determination. Our history also teaches us that our people have an unshakable faith in liberal and democratic values, solidarity, compassion, and the unity of all forces of civil society. These are the values that guide my government and that I want to share with you.

But we must not forget the suffering and injustices that our people endured during the Days of Sorrow and the National-Syndicalist regime, which deprived us of our true democratic and liberal identity. We must not forget the victims of political persecution, who paid with their lives for their courage and dignity. We must not forget the heroes of the July 2020 Revolts, and the December 2020 Revolution, who fought with weapons and words for the liberation of our country.

My goal is to work for a better future for all Ostmarkians. A future in which everyone can enjoy fundamental rights and opportunities for personal and professional development. A future in which our country is an example of civilization, freedom, and democracy.

To achieve this goal, I need your support and active participation. I invite you to be the protagonists of the future that we want to achieve together. I invite you to be proud of your Ostmarkian identity. I invite you to be critical and vigilant for the sake of Ostmark.

FREIKORPSFEST: DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME

LUDWIGSTADT AM SEE (Ostmark) - It's that time of the year again! The entire town is getting ready for the annual Freikorpsfest. For those of you who don't know, the Freikorpsfest is a festival that celebrates the local beer culture, and is known for its loud music, rowdy crowds, and overall fun atmosphere "In reality, it is about almost 1500 residents and many more tourists getting drunk and feeling no guilt for it" said Mayor Rutter during an interview with a local radio station "We drink because we have to" he added.

The festival is held in the center of town, where a large stage is set up for djs to play throughout the day and night. The smell of beer and bratwurst fills the air, as locals and tourists alike gather to celebrate and have a good time while watching the traditional parade of the Freikorps, the Free Corps. One of the most popular events of the Freikorpsfest is the beer drinking contest. This year's winner, Franz, managed to drink an astonishing 20 liters of beer in under 3 hours. We're not sure how he managed to do it, but he definitely deserved the trophy and the bragging rights that come with it as soon as he will get out of the hospital.

Another highlight of the festival is the traditional "Keg Roll" competition. Participants must roll an empty keg down a sloped course, trying to get it to stop as close as possible to the finish line. It may sound easy, but it's much harder than it looks. This year's winner, Anna, managed to roll her keg within inches of the finish line, much to the delight of the cheering crowd. As for Karl, Feuerwehr's Search and Rescue squads have already been dispatched to the nearby forests to recover him and the keg.

And let's not forget the food! The festival is known for its delicious bratwursts and other local delicacies. The smell of grilled meat fills the air, as people queue up to get their hands on these tasty treats. But the "Freikorpsfest" isn't just about eating and drinking. There are also a variety of games and activities for people to enjoy. From carnival rides to games of skill, there's something for everyone at this festival.

All in all, the "Freikorpsfest" is a great way for the people of Ludwigstadt am See to come together and celebrate their local culture, which is mostly centered around drinking and recovering from hangovers. It's a time to forget about the stresses of everyday life and just have fun. Shooting and drinking, what else do you really need in life?
