Hello, I used to RP here like 2-3 years ago, first as a fascist imperial japan copy called Nippon, then I got bored and started creating nations like crazy untill I finally just lost interest altogether. I figured I might try playing again, this time as a Sorelian/Fascist nation. So, has anything changed since I've been gone?

Hey so I'm the Sierra Republic as my username implies. I was invited primarily by Sildjica (no, I'm not going to accent your name). So anyways onto my nation - which hopefully hasn't been done - an 'objectivistic' (Objectivism) plutocracy / oligarchy.

Basically I'm taking what Ayn Rand writes about and applying it to practice. Hopefully that'll make for interesting RPs in the future?

I'll be RPing an integralist/para-fascist East African nation. Islamic, authoritarian government, slave labor not shunned, rich in certain resources... You know how it goes.
The general history is that the nation was formed by several large tribes uniting due to the increasing threat of Europeans during the colonialism era. When colonies started going independent of their old colonial masters, the tribal unity began to slowly deform and infighting started between the leading tribes. The military, formed by a combined force of men and women who swore ultimate loyalty to the nation instead of tribal chiefs, took control during this time and forced pacification by establishing a very strong authoritarian central government where every tribe was equally oppressed to the point where tribal differences were minimal at best. Through years of brainwashing and forcibly moving and mixing populations together, the state ensured the continuation of the nation as a single entity. There are resistance and guerrilla groups still fighting against the central government, but most people in the nation are blissfully unaware of them and the army has been dominating the battles for decades.

Anyways, will be seeing you when the government next decides that it's best for the citizens to have an outside threat. You know, to take their minds off how bad their daily life really is.
