That's because Coro makes them as a substitute.

Except mine because he hates me apparently.

I thought maybe he would jump at the chance to make a yellow lady sig

Might as well introduce the likes of the Platte Confederation now.

The Platte Confederation is a mixture of different Ethnic backgrounds that came to the Islands for any variety of reasons over the centuries. The largest and most dominant would be those of English descent, followed by Francophone, Arab, German with your usual minorities. The government shall be similar in design to the Swiss but may well have some varying differences between the two.

Economically speaking we import almost 3 times the value of goods that we export and the economic growth is what you could define as almost stagnant (under .5%).

Lots of other stuff that could be told here but prefer to reveal it all in roleplay & wiki. Just had to give you all a little taste.

I do have one question for whoever would be willing to answer it. I've noted on the 'How to Start' page that various 'homelands' exist. What region do Spanish-cultured nations belong in?

Hispanophone nations are actually kind of rare in NSEurope. Frescania is considered the homeland of Spanish culture, I believe.

And we've now got [3] spanish nations, Frescania being the root and the other two being colonies/former colonies of Frescania.

Sorry for my continued n00bishness, but I have a couple more questions:

1) How are population, economic, and military statistics calculated?
2) Is the terrain of various territories listed/indicated anywhere? And the natural resources available in each plot?

Hello and welcome to NSeurope, enjoy your stay! And you're not a n00b, I can tell. n00bs are players who assume stuff and don't bother to ask questions.

1) Whatever you want it to be. As long as its reasonable, it's pretty ok. Because you're new, you can't have the biggest, most sophisticated military yet but if you write articles, roleplay stuff about it, then your military capabilities expand. Same goes for economy. You can start as an imploded 3rd world country or as a normal, modern day society. Nothing special, just straightforward.

2) You get to decide the terrain as well - but within limits. If you border several desert states, you cannot be a tundra or icy Scandinavian country. Tropical countries are south, cold climates are located north. Easy peasy. Resources is a little bit more difficult, because there's a fine line between acceptable amounts of vital resources (oil, gas, coal, etc.) and absurd amounts of each.

Feel free to ask around to see where you want to fit in.

Hey :)

A brief overview;

Zirialand is a newly founded country made from five seperate states following an historic treaty signed by Commander Elijah Bastelbogen, the leader of Corholt and Pryport. The remaining three, Ostston, Nordell and Redlake, were all represented by HRH Queen Jane II.

Ostston is the country's economic powerhouse and located in the most northern point of Zirialand, Corholt and Redlake and the country's rural regions, relying upon farming and tourism. Nordell is the smallest of all five regions but is also home to the capital city, Roccoco, where Queen Jane II resides. It's also a cultural hub with many of the country's finer tourist attractions. Finally Pryport is Zirialand's most densly populated region, whilst no cities match the size of Roccocol, the region's population is over 2 times larger than the next nearest.

The current economic climate is secure if unimpressive as Zirialand continues to rely on imports more than it's exports, but the forecast is strong with a number of new developments planned, particually in Ostston. Religion is vast and varied, whilst 84% of the population has announced they follow a chosen belief, there is no clear leader from Christian, Islamic and Buddist. Despite this, tensions between groups appear stable. The country's current foreign policies appear relaxed, with the intentions to make friends rather than enemies a priority.

Culture is something of a growing revelation in the country, and whilst there are a number of theatres and sporting championships, Zirialand is far from being a cultural standard for the region. The majority of the population speak English whilst a sector of the Pryport still continue to use their state's old laguage, Pryish.

Well, hope that's a decent enough start, look forward to rping some more about the country soon! ;)

That sounds really boring. Where's the conflict? Where's the excitement? Where's the story?

But welcome and I look forward to playing with you!

It sounds very interesting to me. Hoever I feel like you should know... In 'our world' English isn't a very wide-spread language. Instead German is the business language of the world.
