The encyclopedia plugs links in to your posts, ex: Felix Ilchester ; Veronica North. So when you are writing posts readers have a quick reference to important names or organizations. Detailed and expanded information, like you might find on wikipedia, is recommended for the wiki.

Okay... is the mic on?

Well, here I am, I was formerly known as Atomic in other forums and some people pointed me here. I do intend to play an eastern -european state mashup with some historical (a lot) references to you know, the whole Vlad Dracul vibe. I hope i don't tread on sensivities around (specially Romanians).

ROMANIA SUX0RS! :x No, jk. I like Romanians. Well except for one guy, but that's a long story.

When you say "Vlad Dracul vibe," is your national leader going to be impaling people en masse? :p

If you wanna have that vibe, your Valahians should be ultra nationalists.
Also, Potenza, I'm curious about that story.

What story do you mean? Impaling people? That's what Vlad Dracul was infamous for. Supposedly Mehmet II came up north to invade, saw all the impaled people, and said, "What can you do with such a man?", then turned around and went back south.

I talked about the Romanian you don't like, story.
I didn't heard about that story with Mehmet, but there was a story of a Venetian merchant that comes to Wallachia. Supposedly, Vlad asked him to leave his bag of coins in the middle of the road until the morning. The next day, the merchant was stunned to see his bag untouched. Then Vlad said that he punished so many thieves by impaling them, so the rest don't have the courage to steal anything anymore.

Tell us more tales of your homeland, or let me lick your brain.

There are many things to say but I don't know if this is the best thread for that.

I was thinking of creating a nation controlled and owned by one corporation, but I have an impression that might be a bit too far fetched. I need some input on this.

Still undecided on where I want to be on the map. Plot has to be next to water, I just don't know where to choose.

I think the controlled by a corporation thing is a really cool idea.

What ethnic group to you want to be, cause that will decide were you'll be on the map. They have people in an area based on ethnic groups, that or you would have to create a story of being colony once of someone; if I am correct.

I'm new here too.

I think the more realistic thing for you would be to have a banana republic where there is a government, but it is so corrupt that the main corporation can simply tell it what to do.

That could be a good idea, maybe in the S1 area? Large, tropical looking, I guess. Could be feasible to have a kinda large population, or sparsely grouped population in areas. A capital near the coast, maybe one big trade area near/in desert area, like a Timbuktu?

Or, maybe some kind of Umbrella Corp kinda of situation going on?

Like a Corp, with a military division taking over the government? Vast resources of lobbyists? Started with buying government officials all the way to the point of them becoming "puppets" to "agents"?

Maybe?

Could be cool. You going to do a monarchy?

Even if you do, do the impaling thing, it would be interesting to see how you justify it, and how other players react.

Yeah, still trying the hang of things.
